  1. imo You could just border bounce which currently provides a 60 day permit. Which is extendable by 30 days. Then obtain non O marriage. Then subsequent 12 month extension....OR Depending on how long you plan to stay you can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife.
  2. Is it the financial requirements that rules out non O based on retirement and subsequent extensions. Simple alternative
  3. No. Non O based on dependant Thai child is possible when not married. eg divorced. You indicate still married. Immigration will want you to obtain non O based on marriage and subsequent extension along with the required financials
  4. You most likely/certainly will not be able to obtain non O based on Thai child. You will obtain non O based on marriage since you are married to thai national. You will need 400k in Thai bank account in your name only 2 months prior to application and maintained during under consideration period. Forget non O (Thai child dependant)
  5. Off topic post removed. Further off topic posts removed without warning.
  6. The OP, is currently married. He would need to apply for extension based on marriage
  7. Extensions from a non O or non O-A based on marriage do not require insurance.
  8. Most likely the document check chicks will send you away without TM30. Your wife does not need to be with you. This thread lists other docs required. Photocopies etc https://aseannow.com/topic/1324628-30-day-extension-to-visa-exempt-entry❓/
  9. First up how did you enter Thailand. If visa exempt you will attend IT mall LakSi. If with a visa eg SETV you will attend CW. Most likely you will need to provide a TM30 Edit: you only received 30 from dates mentioned so you go to LakSi
  10. As I pointed out earlier ...that would be an option if he has previously not obtained the 60 day extension. Also he would only need a single reentry permit to protect his permission of stay for trip to UK during the 60 day extension
  11. That would be up to 30 days early. Since your immigration office is helpful and friendly, suggest you see them asap to discuss options. Immigration offices can process your application earlier than stated rule. Showing them flight ticket to UK would help. Just go to the horses mouth so to speak. Edit: if you haven't used your one 60 day extension to visit wife, immigration may suggest that.
  12. Which immigration office
  13. As others have pointed out "no such rule" You fall back position of referring to MFA and foreign embassy web sites (esp UK) is laughable.
  14. MFA introduced nothing. Thai immigration made the change to 60 days VE entry and placed in gazette. Thai immigration is be responsible for admission into Thailand. As always that will be at discretion of immigration officer.
  15. End of. Not wasting any more on chit chat. Yes you can according to who? Don't tell me MFA. Laughable
  16. No surprise. As MFA does not make immigration laws and certainly do not speak for immigration officers at airports or land borders. What don't you understand. Visa exempt entries via air are already unlimited. Can you use them to have continuous stay in Thailand? No. Will you be able to live in Thailand using ongoing visa exempt via land? No
  17. And what did you do? Step away from check in and book a flight? Your experience does match MANY others. Just one example above this post. Your experience is isolated.
  18. You are assuming that the visa exemption will be 60 days ongoing. I don't see it that way. You also over stating the reference to 90 day reporting after trips out of Thailand. You can do TM47 via mail.
  19. Here is a thread specific to CM. Excellent OP, even though few years back https://aseannow.com/topic/1224751-marriage-visa-extension-guide-chiang-mai/
  20. Funds required for 2 months prior to application and maintained during under consideration period. Which immigration office
  21. OP, just to be 100% clear .. you are looking for agent to cover the financial requirements? Are your previous stamps issued by CW or elsewhere
  22. Of course you can fly out/in same day as you had a multi entry visa. The OP has extensive history of visa exempt entry and is asking if another VE can be done via air in same day. Answer: huge risk
  23. This change should have been worded more like this.... "The limit of 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year has been removed" That brings it into line with VE via air. No stated limit. Are folk able to have continuous stay in Thailand ongoing using VE via air possible. Answer : No Will folk now be able to border bounce every 90 days (60+ extension) ongoing. Answer: No
  24. First up you are replying to very old thread. Sadly ubonjoe has passed. The requirement is clear. 800k baht or equivalent in Thai bank account. Immigration very strict on this. Weekends have nothing to do with this clear requirement.
  25. You are not even looking at emoji to your threads. Making statements that lack understanding.. Just one example refer to post above from @bigt3116 His post is accurate and some of your posts the opposite.
