  1. You do not have a non O . You have record of the non O-A in pp. You can continue to obtain ongoing extensions based on retirement however will require insurance If you changed reason to based on marriage insurance is not required Edit: just re read your two posts. Re using agent to change from non O-A to non O. Don't understand how that was done. Would be interesting to see stamp.
  2. I do not have recent experience however immigration should receive screenshot of your TM30. BTW since you entered visa exempt you do not attend CW for 30 day extension. You will go to IT mall LakSi. (not far from CW)
  3. Think you stated live near bang Chak. Read report that transport/land office will accept blue book etc there. You could check it out. Ask Fatboys or BSR bikes agents for better information. Chatuchak is a no go. You require COR
  4. CW list 2 weeks as guideline process time. They also mail out the COR I also live in Bangkok. For first 7 years due to frequent travel out of Thailand I could not do a TM47. I could not obtain certificate of residence. I tried agents reply "no can do" Not sure of your friends story.
  5. Seems to be currently guess work. @Tod Daniels do you have any current advice on required funds along with seasoning for Savannakhet. I'm thinking just 400k in bank sufficient. Here is a cut paste of a thread I will attach... "I've been to Savannakhet a couple times this year. Things change depending on who's sitting behind the window and how they feel that day. To more or less guarantee a Non-O Multiple based on Marriage have the money seasoned for 2 months .... in a Thai bank account. If less, you might be stuck with a Single entry". https://aseannow.com/topic/1328915-multiple-entry-marriage-visa/
  6. Think you will find the multi non O marriage now requires 400k in bank account. https://aseannow.com/topic/1310170-savannakhet-now-require-bank-statement-400k-for-1-year-multi-visa-non-o-marriage-or-thai-family/
  7. Think you will find that you obtain your certificate of residence at CW. You will need most recent TM47 Advise in this thread along with link to application form
  8. The added bonus (prob mentioned already) for those with a non O prior to entering Thailand that would assist greatly with opening a Thai bank account for those that don't have one. How long did the process take in USA. @Pattaya57 did the same recently non O retirement obtained in Oz. Think it only took few days.
  9. The OP is asking about change from based on retirement to based on marriage. This thread below covers your situation and yes it's possible. https://aseannow.com/topic/1304886-non-b-to-non-o-retirement/
  10. That is different. My post was pointing out that if a non O is obtained based on eg retirement then for the First extension immigration may/will insist on the extension to be based on retirement. Subsequent extensions can be based on marriage.
  11. Think maybe you are slightly confused with a single entry non O and a multi entry non O . The single give you a 90 day stamp upon entry and at that point it's "used". The next step is to obtain a 12 month extension. The other extension possible is 60 day to visit family. The non O multiple entry is a different animal. It cannot be obtained in Thailand. You obtain that visa at consulate or Thai embassies. It is valid for 12 months and allows a stay of 90 days each entry. Lot of married guys obtain this visa instead of the single entry with it's 12 month extension.
  12. Some trolling and baiting posts removed
  13. No sense in doing that. The non O would provide a 90 day stamp. The reentry permit would have expiry date same as the "until date" on your 90 day stamp. You would gain nothing by doing border bounce
  14. Yes my post was typo. It's once per entry except for reentry permit. Can enter on a visa exempt or tourist visa or multi entry visa and obtain or single entry non O etc and be able to apply for 60 day extension to visit family. Incorrect post corrected
  15. That's a given as marriage goes to head office hence the under consideration period.
  16. Agree. However if the non O is applied for on eg retirement then the very first extension would be based on that reason. Subsequent extensions you can change based on eg retirement to marriage.
  17. Good pick up. The first extension needs to be based on marriage and don't think agent can obtain extension based on retirement. Suggest he do as you mentioned and bounce to obtain another 90 day stamp. After that an agent may suggest he exit and reenter visa exempt to "start over" with non O based on retirement. Plan @OJAS suggested earlier worth consideration
  18. This has been asked previously. Is your plan to obtain a non O and then 60 day extension. Then exit Thailand wash and repeat. And no it's NOT one per year.
  19. Best to chat with agent. Most use LINE or just ring one. Start with Maneerat Soi 13/2
  20. He doesn't have a valid Visa he has a permission of stay protected by his reentry permit. Has happened to me personally. I had a multi entry visa to Vietnam with few days validity. Was flying to Saigon for few days and onward home to Bangkok. Jetstar dug heels in at check in Melbourne. Wanted to see my flight out of Vietnam prior to expiry of visa. Showed flight on cell phone. Boarding pass issued.
  21. Think you are jumping the gun however the option to change extension to based on marriage is simple. Especially as you are using income method. Your wife will need to attend.. Immigration may try to talk you out of it. Thread discussing the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1314382-change-from-reirement-to-marriage-visa/
  22. OP, you have a 3 page thread on similar question. Link below. Don't understand why you obtained a reentry permit. The io will most likely stamp you in for the few days remaining on your permit. Don't be surprised if airline at check in asks for onward flight. Even with a reentry permit. Then you plan a border bounce? Did you consider extension from the non O? https://aseannow.com/topic/1324898-i-got-a-non-o-single-visa-but-i-would-like-to-enter-into-visa-exempt-use-the-visa-later/
