  1. This is from OP. Given that he obtained a 60 day visa exempt+ 30 day extension I would not recommend a same day flight out and return looking for visa exempt entry. OP stick with idea of land borders. You won't have a problem. BTW you mentioned Vientiane. Recent report even that crossing appears to be requesting overnight stay.
  2. OP, you can obtain the Non O eVisa based on marriage or retirement in Australia. The process time is only few days. You have good advice from @Lacessit above. Personally I would suggest Non O marriage. The annual extensions require 400k in bank account in your name only seasoned for two months. The beauty is those funds can be used to live on after extension granted.
  3. Care to outline travel options from Koh Phangan to Vientiane.
  4. I never stated 2 border runs per year. That rule was removed earlier this year.
  5. Moved from posted forum. There are many rules regarding receiving "old age pension" while not living in Australia.
  6. Just sniping one piece from your post. I align. Already had one hip replacement and back issue etc etc . I love Thailand but annual extensions not easy for many folk. Esp as I deal with CW. Soon will be using Agent. Maybe one more extension DYI. Zero money issue. That's not the problem.
  7. Geez ..excuse my ignorance. From AI google... "No, Israeli citizens are generally not allowed to enter Malaysia. To enter Malaysia, Israeli citizens need an embassy visa" You summed it up "stuffed up world"
  8. Umm you do report at Building B CW Doubt you will receive mail approval 5 days after due date. My plan would be to attend immigration for extension when suits you. Make appointment for extension followed by appointment for TM47. I did this in Nov 5. Link for appointment.. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  9. No problem. Have you considered Malaysia. Here is thread (not recent) has links. Regards Vientiane seems just started requiring one night stay. As usual some Baht perhaps can avoid that requirement. https://aseannow.com/topic/1275933-how-to-do-border-run-from-koh-samui-or-koh-phangan/
  10. Continued posts re semantics of "unlimited" removed.
  11. Ongoing bickering post removed.. Move on.
  12. Maybe I have incorrect information. I had impression Singapore was not preferred option. Personally big fan of Saigon so that would be my preferred option. Laos last on list as thinking introduction of eVisa not as simple as Vietnam.
  13. CW often don't even process till due date. So unlike some offices there can be weeks till return post approval. By then 7 day grace for in person has past. If that occurs when you eventually attend immigration take along the EMS tracking number (maybe avoid fine)
  14. Answer from @Phillip9 sums it up. OP aware of eVisa now. Thread closed.
  15. First up ...13 days should be enough . I have done exactly that with CW 13 early also. Approved and had hand written note to do it 15 next time. Re the reason not working now... they had idea to sync online reporting with TM30. Result: forum rules prevent how to describe it. Thinking "balls up" allowed
  16. From your OP .... "I'm wondering if the new e-Visa will benefit me?" So you are on annual extensions based on retirement. Same as my situation. eVisa for Thailand available in nearby countries is of zero use to you. One group will be those seeking eg Non O marriage or retirement etc. That ain't you.
  17. Good luck. Personally my next extension is Nov 2025 so it won't take much more to push me to just skip it along with TM30 and cop a fine.
  18. How early did you post the TM47. CW wants 15 days prior to due date.. Few days less ok but not recommended. Only post this in case you make change to doing it via mail in future.
  19. I just pick this one. Could pick several. It's not visa renewal or visa extension. It is 12 month extension to your permission of stay. That is from a non O. It was not cancelled it was used. Subsequent passports do not have that visa transfered. Visas are not transfered. However information regarding that Visa is and your ongoing extension requirements are governed by that visa. For example Non O-A vs Non O etc
  20. Applying for annual extension has nothing to do with 90 day reporting. There are some offices that do report at time of extension. Several posts above are straight up incorrect. If report window is open at time of annual extension then you can max that visit by doing the TM47 same visit. Note: you do the extension first then the TM47. At CW (mentioned earlier) you will attend different desks.
  21. Further posts re legality of agents will be removed as off topic
  22. That's one option however most likely best to exit Thailand (border bounce) enter visa exempt. He can then obtain new Non O marriage or retirement along with subsequent extensions. (start over)
