You seem to be bit of a newbie. The girls in most bars everywhere have a lady drink quota they need to reach. You don't want to buy a lady drink do not engage. Do not waste there time with chit chat. Be almost rude. They will understand. As for Soi 80 ... Try new area Soi 94 . Or the previous popular area adjacent to Hilton Bintabaht is my favourite. Much more quiet in recent times. Depends where you are staying and looking for.

Please note TM47 can be done via mail. TM47 in person can for some involve much travel time and process time. Anyway I find this thread silly imo. Bit like dog ate my homework.
-
Clearly you have both. So your point? I do my TM47 next week and I will file that from anywhere I happen to be from my cell phone. That will take about one minute. When the confirmation email arrives to my Gmail I can have it printed. The OP mentioned flash drive. ????????

OP, Is this a serious thread. Join the 21st century. They have things called online banking, Google account, email accounts. Ability to book flights, accommodation and just about anything you can name on your smart phone in the comfort from anywhere. You can also file your TM47 and view the confirmation email etc.

Retirement Extension. Money in bank
DrJack54 replied to somo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Agree. -
Common misconception.

That explains a lot. With your history or even much less history most folk would have advised against using Poi Pet. Even more so with your history. You don't state when you were last in Thailand, however if plan to return, I suggest you obtain a tourist visa. Bit unrelated ..someone asked about what happens when refused entry entering via air. You don't get to choose where you fly to. You fly back to point of departure.

Incorrect. There are forms for "conversion" from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry to a non O retirement or marriage. Namely TM86 and TM87. Most of the rest of your post is misleading... You stated.... "I got an extension of my O visa a couple of months ago." Visas cannot be extended. You obtained an extension of your permission of stay. You also post..... "One requirement is a long term lease and my landlord reporting to Immigration that I am living there with my wife" Apart from this thread being about applying for a non O retirement..That statement is incorrect regarding lease.
-
What some folk have misunderstood is this OP entered visa exempt and planned to obtain a non O retirement. It is very unreasonable for immigration office to expect that a 12/6 month lease has been organized in first couple of weeks. As a result "common sense" immigration offices should accept a TM30 to apply for a Non O. This has been sufficient in many immigration offices.

Retirement Extension. Money in bank

Why "if they are nice" ? The OP is entitled to obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. Nothing nice about it. It's immigration rules. -
Seems similar tech in car batteries.

VTE airport to nong khai
DrJack54 replied to at15's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Pre covid there were minivan from UT airport to Nong Khai. I suggest you just wing it. If long wait at airport then take taxi to Central Plaza or Bus Depot which is one block away. If it's just a border bounce check out return taxi deal -
Folk with ED Non O have same reentry stamp. RE does not reference retirement.

What I meant is much less work for immigration. -

That's so true and weird in my thinking. If rejected he should ask to see the higher level io. At CW they are the ones at rear of L desks. The OP's immigration office surely has similar set up on much smaller scale. Perhaps the OP could mention he plans to switch to marriage if retirement not an option. Might give the io incentive as much less paperwork for retirement. -

The rules for the financials is crystal clear and OP is aware of them. Zero point in reading the requirements on website.
