  1. The OP, has been asking sames questions over long period. Along with border run advice. Again and again.. Here one example @pantsonfire you have been given information often. No one can guarantee io won't question your extensive history. Did you consider (look into) DTV. Seems possible match for your ongoing situation.. Or you could marry the gf
  2. https://aseannow.com/topic/1334518-chiangmai-airport-re-entry-permit/
  3. Thanks for update. If Nong Khai continue with this along with other land border crossings then this is bit of game changer. "Games" being operative word. Surely this would not apply to bounce for Visa holders such as METV. Perhaps some will consider grab a DTV
  4. While still in the 400k window open the new account. You mention SCB. That's fine. Personally I would consider Kasikorn. In any event just prior to needing the 800k to satisfy the two months prior to application.....transfer the 400k into the new account. After that is deposited transfer or withdraw the 400k you have in existing account and place into new account. Immigration will want to see bank statements and bank letters and bank books from both accounts on day of application Note: BBL is only bank (to my knowledge) that requires few days to provide annual bank statement. I would for that reason alone skip them
  5. Given you are only planning 3 month stay you could consider SETV. Not sure of cost now. As you have been out of Thailand for some time you could try visa exempt. SR services is a recommended agent for "safe entry" at airports however thinking not required. Especially if you opt for visa.
  6. Give us the gory details when you get into Thailand. Good luck
  7. One important consideration is time since last visit. Also depends on how long you plan the stay. METV is a good option. The issue now is since visa exempt became 60 day stamp and limit of 2 land border runs per calendar year being removed that METV (to some) seems less appealing.
  8. Good pick up. Anyway OP ...Can you report back after your application. Would be helpful.
  9. So what is the issue for need for "safe entry" That service is not for fast track immigration. It's for folk with history of visa exempt entry. If you just want VIP immigration line that's different..
  10. Don't know why you had 2 sad emoji. Fact is forever the immigration officer at entry point determines entry or no entry. Don't wish to gloat but when the word "unlimited border entries" I suggested to chill with this change See what happens. This thread is Nong Khai specific. Zero issues previously. Now?
  11. It will make headlines if that occurs. Can't imagine that would happen in any situation. Anyone with a visa exempt entry and is entitled to 30 day extension.
  12. That's exactly what occured with me. My bank transfers from my Westpac account now does not go to WISE account. Rather it goes to an individual account in my name (wallet) So let's say I want to do transfer. Step 1. I transfer funds from my Westpac a/c to my wallet Step 2. Transfer from my Wise wallet to Kasikorn a/c. Suggest do not revert to bringing in cash. The best exchange in Thailand is SuperRich Green (head office) You will receive more baht using WISE and not have to carry funds and go to exchange place..
  13. Was instant. At our condo building there is ATM in outside wall of building. The gf was going to 7/11 right at that time and I asked her to do balance check in my Kasikorn a/c. The funds were there. This has always been my experience for small and large transfers. Smallest 50k largest (the max) 2 million.
  14. I'm worried less now. The OP sorta sounded you didn't have a clue in actual fact you seem on top of it. CW likes to see "activity" on day of application.. That can be token deposit and also satisfies the update. If you obtain bank letter few days early that's fine. They may want a TM30 or lease agreement. In the main they want the financial requirements met.. Good luck..
  15. Old thread Samui specific. Detailed OP. Point 7 he refers to basic medical. Vaguely recall that was previously required at Samui Each office can have specific requirements eg CW wanting hand drawn map. https://aseannow.com/topic/1102143-an-idiots-guide-to-the-retirement-extension-process-at-samui-immigration-office/ That thread also has this List. https://assets.aseannow.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2019_05/imageproxy.jpeg.2039e26aaf57f3bf9ed4bc2bee746ac4.jpeg
  16. The treatment you received is horrible. One point since you pointed it out the Thai family waiting would perhaps hurt your cause. With Thai family you have visa + extension options..
  17. Well yes it's a TM7 form for 12 months extension. The fee for extension is 1900b So your non O is based on retirement? You plan to apply for extension using money in bank method? Have you seasoned 800k for 2 months prior to application for extension? Why did you leave applying for extension at the last minute. 2 days prior to expiry of your permission of stay?
  18. The expiry date on reentry permit will be same as expiry of current permission of stay stamp.
  19. For sure. Continue using WISE. Here is my most recent transfer. Was instant.
  20. I don't even have a laptop. Everything is done on Android phone. I have Bendigo Bank app and Westpac bank app. It does require you at some point to supply Thai phone # for OTP (if required) Off topic tip for anyone opening a Thai bank account choose BBL or Kasikorn as they are partner banks to WISE and also allow large transfer. Think its 2 million baht..
  21. Just for others....the date you put is just formality. Do not need to have flight on that day. The reentry permit can be used from date of issue to expiry of current permission of stay..
  22. See attached screenshot. 4 minutes. That includes time to transfer from Westpac to WISE using online banking app. This has been similar experience for large sums eg Condo purchase. Just putting out my many transfers using WISE.
  23. I notice you had very similar issue back in May and started this thread. To live ongoing in Thailand you need to be on annual extensions rather that a non O plus 60 day extension or visa exempt plus 60 day extension. Since your embassy provides income letter for immigration don't understand why you are in this situation. You state in both threads that the financial requirements is the issue. ? Seems more like poor planning.
  24. Don't know what your doing. My transfers from Oz using WISE take minutes.
