Will the new Thai e-Visa benefit farangs who live here?
From your OP .... "I'm wondering if the new e-Visa will benefit me?" So you are on annual extensions based on retirement. Same as my situation. eVisa for Thailand available in nearby countries is of zero use to you. One group will be those seeking eg Non O marriage or retirement etc. That ain't you.

Good luck. Personally my next extension is Nov 2025 so it won't take much more to push me to just skip it along with TM30 and cop a fine.

How early did you post the TM47. CW wants 15 days prior to due date.. Few days less ok but not recommended. Only post this in case you make change to doing it via mail in future.

Frustrated with Thai Immigration - 90 day online report frustrations
I just pick this one. Could pick several. It's not visa renewal or visa extension. It is 12 month extension to your permission of stay. That is from a non O. It was not cancelled it was used. Subsequent passports do not have that visa transfered. Visas are not transfered. However information regarding that Visa is and your ongoing extension requirements are governed by that visa. For example Non O-A vs Non O etc

Applying for annual extension has nothing to do with 90 day reporting. There are some offices that do report at time of extension. Several posts above are straight up incorrect. If report window is open at time of annual extension then you can max that visit by doing the TM47 same visit. Note: you do the extension first then the TM47. At CW (mentioned earlier) you will attend different desks.

I'm confused - Using a Visa Agent
That's one option however most likely best to exit Thailand (border bounce) enter visa exempt. He can then obtain new Non O marriage or retirement along with subsequent extensions. (start over)

Chong Mek border bounce - Any one done this bounce lately?
Well suggest you make things clear in the future. Saves time for those trying to assist.

I'm confused - Using a Visa Agent
What you described using an agent is accurate. The bank account is the simple part. Approx 5k. Most of which is insurance policy cost to bank. Most likely BBL. You friend already had a non O previously so agent provided service to cover the financial requirements to obtain 12 month extension. If in future he wants to change back to DYI then he can seek advice from forum. I notice that friend had option to change to based on retirement to based on marriage. The financials are far easier for marriage and can be used after extension granted. He could have brought time by obtaining 60 extension to visit wife, but that's all water under the bridge.

Chong Mek border bounce - Any one done this bounce lately?
From your "other" current thread hour ago you stated.... "I was planning on a 30 Extension of stay this week then after 30 days apply for a further 60 day Extension based on being married to a Thai." So even without the 30 day extension to visa exempt (Nov) with a 60 to visit wife you are covered for next 3 months. Umm

You did a report in November of that crossing. Month later this thread?

End of Non O 1 year extension to stay - is there any leeway?
OP, there is no grace period. You would be on overstay. The 7 day agent mentioned is not a grace period . You could apply for extension knowing it will be rejected and immigration will stamp 7 days to exit Thailand. For clarity: do you want to end your current stay. Planning to return to home country? If it's to buy time you could obtain 60 day extension to visit wife if have not obtained one previously

Will the new Thai e-Visa benefit farangs who live here?
Think OP is confused. In another of his threads asked about under consideration period. Seems is on extensions. No need for an eVisa

Will the new Thai e-Visa benefit farangs who live here?
Your title suggests that you live in Thailand. What have you been using visa wise currently and in the past? Why would you be obtaining an eVisa.

korat immigration only, new rules or nationwide?
That should be possible. Do not follow the immigration officer on this . I read a similar report recently but cannot find it.. Think maybe Ubon Ratchathani Seems folk trying to follow plan you outlined should check with their immigration office. For offices that allow it then you apply for 30 day extension followed by the 60 to visit wife.

Where to go for initial non-inmigrant B visa
It's a concern. Places such as Savannakhet etc requiring payment to be made at consulate. No online payment available. Ridiculous. Also we don't have clear indication of how long the process will take. Anything longer than 5 days is unpleasant to say the least. Don't see an easy solution.

I'm Non-B Work Extension. Spouse is Non-O Dependent Extension. Convert Non-O Retirement?
The agents you dealt with are covering the financial requirements You indicate that you don't want that so ignore that part of your research. You can change what your non O is based on so in other words no need to exit Thailand. Here is a thread. Tod Daniels is second post. Suggest you avoid the idea of exit to Laos and obtain eVisa Non O retirement. It comes in start of 2025 and would like to see process times for the eVisa.. Note if you change what extension is based on to retirement that funds in bank do Not need to shown to come from abroad. Seems you have done lot of research. Indeed you can both can live in Thailand on extensions retirement using money in the bank. Alternatively your wife can piggyback on your extension based on retirement as dependent spouse. A left field plan B is to exit Thailand and reenter with 60 day visa exempt and obtain a Non O retirement and subsequent extensions at local immigration office. Bumping your thread as you didn't receive a reply. Hopefully someone who has actually changed from Non B to extensions based on retirement will chip in. This thread has useful information https://aseannow.com/topic/1311349-non-imm-b-to-non-imm-o-during-extension-of-stay/

You make 90 report in person sound like dropping in for a coffee. Clearly your immigration office is not anything like Bangkok.. The immigration officers are not the issue. Just volume
