Update to my Rant earlier today
That question has come up previously. Unfortunately the common answer is the usual: "up to your immigration office" I'm in the camp that believes it should be possible to forward plan and when have 12 + monthly transfers apply for non O and subsequent 12 month extension using income method.

Only those that can provide "income letter" from their embassies

DTV visa extension
No the allows stay of 6 months. You then either apply for extension or exit and reenter Thailand. Sounds to good to be true. Hopefully no surprises in the future. Thinking folk with DTV will just mini break to somewhere nice (eg Saigon) rather than deal with immigration

True. We all need to be aware of requirements at the office you deal with.

Update to my Rant earlier today
I'm doing this currently except my extensions are based on retirement. I discussed this with io at CW on Nov 5. It requires forward planning so in your example you would season the 400k for two months prior to extension application. At the same time you would commence monthly transfers. For you following extension you would show 12 monthly transfers. For others in my situation (retirement) the io stressed that yes start the monthly transfers AND maintain the 800k in bank for 3 months after the Nov 5 granted. Actually I plan to apart from the monthly transfers, maintain the money in bank. In other words have both methods covered

What is this...?
Just more ranting By all means leave. Plenty of folk live in Thailand with extensions based on marriage and have no issues.

No idea why that would be required however I tend to ignore Jomitien requirements.

Even using "income method" That requirement is 12 monthly transfers of min 65k

You have options. Do 12 month extensions. +Reentry Permit if needed

1 year extension question
Yes Doesn't the account have a bank book? Just show that. When I used an FD account I made a deposit on day of application 1000b (minimum deposit). Also bank letter showing you are owner of account and balance 100b What you outlined is fine. Which immigration office.

border run agency
Flight would have been an option either by using an agent for "safe entry" meet and greet at airport OR by way of excuse ..state the truth. You plan to obtain non O. You ran out of time to gather documents for extension. However it's already 15th. All a bit too late

Savannakhet are done for this year and from 1 of January next year they move to eVisa as outlined in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1346246-all-consulates-in-se-asia-switch-to-online-evisa-system-effective-jan-1st-2025/

ALL consulates in S/E Asia switch to online eVisa system effective Jan 1st 2025
What will be required in terms of entry via air/land borders. For example when applying for eVisa for Thailand in say UK you include entry.flight details. Proof of flight. Many years ago applying for tourist visas for Thailand from Saigon you had to provide hard copy of flight into Thailand. What will you need to show if obtaining eVisa in Laos. As pointed out in a post above.... Lot of folk will just border bounce enter visa exempt and apply for eg Non O marriage/retirement at local immigration office. Even moreso if Multiple Entry Visa becomes unavailable.

DTV visa extension
Interested to see how the passport renewal is done regarding transfer of stamps and visa information.

ALL consulates in S/E Asia switch to online eVisa system effective Jan 1st 2025
Exactly. Personally never applied for eVisa for Thailand but have few times for eVisa to Vietnam (Oz pp). After the application is filled in online, you review, check all fields then hit payment. I opt for debit/credit card. Done on the spot and visa takes ~4 days to process and the eVisa is emailed to you

This is the weird bit. Fancy having an eVisa setup that does not include payment options with the application.

I don't understand your posts. Good luck with border bounce.

Visa extension does not count as 90-day report
There are reports of some immigration offices doing 90 report when obtaining extension. Rather than post a link to threads here is a cut and paste from random thread ..... "did my last 90day in November. just did my extension and got my stamp on Dec25 I/O also reset my 90day count for March ( Hua Hin )"

Visa extension does not count as 90-day report
I didn't need to dig into his old posts. I recall the OP making excellent report of his extension retirement at CM.

I'm 3 days late with 90 day report. Seeking advice please.
Your post is not clear. So you did online application for 90 day report. The PDF is simply record of what you filled in on form. To far right side it will have status Pending, Rejected, Approved. You applied post due date? It will be rejected. You can do it in person up seven days after date due and avoid the 2000b fine. If you are handy to immigration and not busy type you can do it in person. I deal with CW so I would skip it and do it next time at immigration for some other reason cop 2k fine

Change 1 Year Extension date
That was the concern. Obtain the eVisa non O after the upcoming visit is good option .

Changing from agent to doing annual extensions myself?!
The thread is about how to move from agent to doing extensions yourself. Not a debate about agents.
