  1. Should not be a problem. BTW: It's a "60 day extension to visit wife" In future be aware that you do not lose days by applying early for extension. You could have applied some time ago.
  2. Personally not a big fan of watching bloggers, however think you can learn a lot from some. You mention Pattaya. There is one blogger in particular.. American guy with very professional vids on YouTube... " Rides 4 Kickz" Does things like recent video beaches from North Pattaya to past Jomtien.. Along with MANY other topics. Lot of material out there. Mr Google is your friend.
  3. As far as I'm aware, there is no requirement for insurance. Thread with detailed report of obtaining METV (eVisa) in UK did not mention insurance
  4. During "under consideration period" you do not go into overstay waiting for final approval.
  5. Out of interest...how many days prior to expiry date did immigration allow you to apply for extension?
  6. Would suggest that CW would not have required a bank statement especially for first extension. Photocopies showing balance 800k for 2 months prior to day of application together with bank letter and activity in account on day of application would be acceptable.
  7. Bit correct... Online previously was up to 7 days prior. Now can be up to due date. If you miss one report and leave it till next extension the fine will still be 2k baht, however not something that I would recommend.
  8. Dont understand where that comes from. Also don't understand why he obtained a new Non O (marriage) when he had a permission of stay protected by reentry permit. Will be interesting when he reenters with new visa.
  9. If you need to obtain your extension more early than your immigration usually allows for....it is possible to approach immigration and ask for consideration. An airline ticket would be a start along with good reason. Alternatively you could ask an agent to facilitate early process of your extension Some comments in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1293088-can-you-start-and-complete-the-non-o-retirement-extension-process-early/
  10. Fair call. The initial post sounded weird to me. Comments such as "called out of line" etc. Very unusual especially with not over the top given recent history to be refused entry. Think op better off chatting with AirAsia (again) to see if another option to KL. Saigon would be an option depending if he has visa exempt entry status for Vietnam.
  11. Currently lot of threads about folk entering visa exempt or tourist visa in order to obtain Non O and subsequent extension. The first extension starts that 90 day report start date.
  12. You misunderstood my comment re "FIRST EVER" 90 report after first extension. Eg from first extension from a non O. For that first extension that date starts your clock. Subsequent extensions, eg after exit and reenter, your reenter date is day one of clock.
  13. Depends on report method used. If you do it by online then the new clock start starts when online repost made. If you do it via mail clock starts from due date. In person should be from date due.
  14. OP, your first ever extension counts as date of your first 90 days report. Subsequently 90 days reports have nothing to do with a annual day extensions. Note some immigration offices do ongoing reports on same visit for annual extension
  15. Sounds like strange story. Even statements such as "show all previous boarding passes" That's weird as not possibl. In similar situation, I would be asking for advice . The first piece would have been "don't sign anything" First post ever. Bit unusual to to ask important advice first time ever.
  16. Not in other.... How much is your total pension and (super income ) The Thai bank account is obtained in Thailand, not AU. For your first year you would need to use money in bank method. You will need an agent to open a Thai bank account if you enter with visa exempt or tourist visa..
  17. OP for visa exempt entries you may likely require an onward flight for airline at departure. Your plan to take a mini holiday (eg Saigon) would work no problem. That way you trip out of Thailand (onward flight) to cover your first visa exempt exempt and your exit back ticket back to states to cover to cover the second entry. With a SETV you would require a single reentry permit. 1000b available at airport on departure (quick easy process). Without the mini trip out you could still use visa exempt entry however you may require onward ticks. Sites such as "onwardticket.com" would cover that. Be aware that each visa exempt and tourist visa entry can be extended by 30 days at your immigration office by 30 days (1900 baht)
  18. Yes. My condolences to you for having to deal with rubbish office in regards to TM30
  19. https://aseannow.com/topic/1310855-thai-evisa-application-today-for-usa-citizen-tourist-visa-did-not-have-a-place-to-upload-financial-evidence-bank-statement/

  21. Best option under 50 would be METV obtained in USA. That would provide 9 month stay, however would need couple of border runs. That would provide up to 9 months. BTW a SETV gives a 60 day stamp and that can give another 30 days by obtaining extension 90 days in total.
  22. Currently I am doing the opposite at CW. My recent extension was Nov last year. I have decided to maintain the 800k in the bank and in parallel start the transfers. This means I have both options covered if any issue from immigration office. In your situation I would do the same just to cover all bases, especially as you mentioned that you have the 800k already here in Thailand.
  23. Just as well you read my post not to attend CW but rather LakSi. The appointment system works a treat and is available for LakSi.
  24. In another of your threads you keep banging on about.... "My 15 month retirement visa". Last time ..There is NO such visa Also in yet another thread ask best way to learn visa rules. Here's the answer ...take advice and stop pretending you have the slightest idea. Thinking some (all) your current threads will end up locked as they are full of misinformation.
