TM30 self reporting
DrJack54 replied to Chillypom's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Sound like you live in Thailand. If you went on holiday to Europe and returned with reentry permit to your place of residence then TM30 is not required. Which immigration office? -

Seems that you own the condo. The OP does not own the condo he is moving into. Also the farang owner has recently passed. -
Tourist VIsa to Retirement Visa
DrJack54 replied to FreddieMercury's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm aware that CM requires 21 days. Was not aware Phuket is 21. Obviously folk need to be aware of their own immigration office requirements. -

DrJack54 replied to KhaoYai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

TM30 self reporting
DrJack54 replied to Chillypom's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Do not understand what you mean. Why would you stay in a hotel one night every 90 days. Where would you live the other 89 days -
TM30 self reporting
DrJack54 replied to Chillypom's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Clearly you have never done a TM30 at immigration. The OP does not just "fill out the TM30 paper. Done" Nup. -
45 days via land enter visa exempt till March 31. After that will be 30 days Each entry visa exempt by land or air can be extended by 30 days. Land visa exempt is limited to 2 per calendar year. Via air visa exempt entries have no written limit but will have issues with continuous stays in Thailand. Especially with only short periods out of Thailand. There is NO 180 day rule anymore. That has been pointed out several times.

File a old TM47 after new visa?
DrJack54 replied to STD Warehouse's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You dont do a TM47 now. When you apply for your extension your 90 day clock will start. You can do your TM47 report via mail. You will also need to do a new TM30 as you entered with new visa. Bit confused as to why you obtained a ME non O marriage if your intention is to obtain a 12 month extension in couple of months. -
TM30 self reporting
DrJack54 replied to Chillypom's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP, how did you enter Thailand. Meaning do you have a reentry permit with existing permission of stay. You mention "extended stay" How long. A TM30 will not be simple in the circumstances you outline. -
Consequences of missing a flight
DrJack54 replied to Hal65's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Doubt it. You will be given a 60 day stamp when you enter Thailand with a tourist visa. Given 90 days upon entry with a non O -
Re-entry permit at CNX (trip report)
DrJack54 replied to TheAppletons's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for detailed report. Making mental note: avoid reentry permit at CNX. Takes approx 15 mins at BKK and DMK. Why they make simple difficult at CNX -
RE: 60 day extension to visit your wife
DrJack54 replied to khaepmu's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes one 60 day extension to visit wife per entry. Forget the 180 day limit. No such thing. -
Consequences of missing a flight
DrJack54 replied to Hal65's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Daily threads about very little. People change flights all the time. Zero interest from immigration. In one of your other thread it appears that you now have a tourist visa from Saigon consulate. You can enter Thailand anytime during validity of the visa and be stamped in for 60 days. -
Landlord never registered TM30!
DrJack54 replied to Liz E's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If your employer is using your current address for your 90 day reporting then do nothing.. -
Non-O Based on retirement - How to?
DrJack54 replied to TimF's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Previously it was. Folk were purchasing 90 day cover. However my understanding is now not required even though it states that on website as you point out above. Outdated. Here is thread from Dec last year. Personally I would obtain the non O in Thailand. https://aseannow.com/topic/1281853-non-o-90-day-retirement-visa-from-the-london-embassy/ -
Is a TM 30 possible advance if done online?
DrJack54 replied to Sparkling's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
They are wrong. Not unusual. But worked for you then no problem. You should have been required to do new TM30 -

That depends on if you return with reentry permit or the same visa. -
Non-O Based on retirement - How to?
DrJack54 replied to TimF's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That's definitely a good option. One important thing in the OP is that he has an existing Thai bank account. Nothing stopping him from applying for non O virtually as soon as he enters Thailand. The non O stamp giving him 90 days to organize the extension. -

DrJack54 replied to Sparkling's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The OP is returning visa exempt and a TM30 is required even if it's the same address where he lived previously. -
Here is pic of condensers. Don't know why one is mounted high. Also pic of another head unit with same pump. In any event we have an air con guy that we have used previously and if they need replacing so be it.

DrJack54 replied to Sparkling's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You OP is confusing. "Trip to our home" ....trip from where. Will you be attending immigration for any reason such as extension? Are you currently in Thailand. Don't see any compelling reason to do a TM30 depending on your answers. -
Non-O Based on retirement - How to?
DrJack54 replied to TimF's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not in specific order to your questions. No covid insurance required. Yes you can obtain non O from visa exempt entry. You will need 800k in Thai bank account on day you apply along with 15 days remaining on your current permit. Flying visa exempt you may be asked for onward flight by airline at departure. Sites such as "onwardflight.com" covers this and works. -

DrJack54 replied to Hal65's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He doesn't need to. The tourist visa was approved. Can fly direct to Thailand.
