Travelling to Europe with a Re- entry permit
DrJack54 replied to KhunHygge's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No. You are returning with a reentry permit. -
This exact topic was covered recently and had the same type of posts to yours. It's clear that some immigration offices have decided not to abide by the new rules (June 2020) . It's difficult to understand the motivation for not doing so. Here is a thread regarding new rules and posted re Chiang Mai. Strange thing is I think that CM immigration is one of the rogue offices that continue to insist on TM30 being filed when returning to your usual place a residence. Now can add Korat to that list.

Marriage visa Ho Chi Minh
DrJack54 replied to Tingnongnoi's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The issue is that currently the next available appointment is over 5 weeks away. Not suitable unless lot of forward planning. -
The rules regarding TM30 requirements were changed think about June 2020. In your situation returning with a reentry permit to your usual place of residence a TM30 would NOT be retired. Nor would it when you are in another province and stay at various hotels. This is all explained in a pinned topic Sadly some immigration offices do their own thing and continue with previous practices. Not sure about Jomtien, however they have a track record.

TM30 after several hotel stays
DrJack54 replied to scubascuba3's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I ignore pretty much anything to do with CM. Rogue office imo.. I won't post related threads of CM still insisting on TM30 when folk return from international travel to their normal place of residence having reentered with reentry permit. CM still want a TM30. There are threads specifically on CM and TM30 nonsense requests. -
Stop incorrect posts. If using online reporting you ignore the reminder and upon return to thailand do your 90 day report online after window opens, which will be 75 days from reentry using online reporting. Of course you need to change your "entry date" in the online form. Several posts have shown that is successful and the way to proceed. The nonsense of to continue doing reports online even while not in Thailand is ridiculous.

60 day extension on a non-o marriage visa
DrJack54 replied to sotonfarang's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For a 60 day extension to visit wife that will be fine. Regarding when your extension start date that will be from end of your current permit regardless of when you apply. -
Here is what I posted in previous thread..... You can download TM8 form from net OR immigration and airport have the form. You also need a pp size photo. When applying for a re-entry permit you will need to submit the following: A completed TM-8 form. The correct fee. Colored photo (4cm x 6cm) Photocopy of passport (main page and latest entry stamp. You can obtain at international airport BKK DMK CNX etc. OR obtain at your immigration office. 3800baht multiple and 1000baht single entry. If flying out of BKK they offer a service of doing it for you 200baht.

Reentry permit office is Zone 2 after security check and prior to passport control (immigration) At DMK the office is just the other side of passport control.

Marriage visa Ho Chi Minh
DrJack54 replied to Tingnongnoi's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That has always been the arrangement. What's important now for anyone dealing with HCMC consulate is that appointment is require and often some time in advance so forward planning required. -
At immigration or airport at departure. Form TM8 with photo and some basic photocopies. At BKK they do the process for you for 200baht Which airport will you exit Thailand from.

Yes. For single reentry permit for tourist visa (SETV) 1000baht.

TM30 after several hotel stays
DrJack54 replied to scubascuba3's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Doesn't matter if the hotels do TM30 or not. You are not changing your address. Do nothing. -
