  1. You need to apply for a non O retirement first. That can be done up to 30 days prior to permit expiry. 12 month comes after the non O. You need the required financials in place
  2. You stated this..... "I went to the police just over a month ago and explained the situation and was advised to place a notice on door of the agent's premises laying a out a deadline". If he has an office then why not go there. You state "it's a company " The places that I'm familiar with have a physical presence. Like the many mention on AseanNow. ThaiVisaCentre, Maneerat, KeyVisa etc etc.
  3. So it was your clobber and not the fact that all your documents were well prepared and organized.
  4. Try not to post incorrect information. I think there may be one immigration office that requires 3 months. The other 74 require 2 months
  5. Fact is it worked for you, so all good. My motto is less is best. I would not have mentioned gf. To each their own. I would also have had all the boarding passes at my fingertips. Not difficult.
  6. It's 2 months prior to application for extension. OP you can apply for 60day extension to visit wife in order to season your funds.
  7. That is the case in all immigration offices. The slight confusion is where wife passes away. Then permission of stay is valid till expiry. Also is there is a ME non O one year visa based on marriage. That also remains valid
  8. Seems I've been breaking the rules at immigration office for 10years. Also dress for the beach when entering the country. The OP was entering Thailand and didn't initially present boarding pass from original departure. Just another not aware of process. In another current thread folk debating providing border pass on arrival and stating this is new requirement due to suspension of arrival card. So wrong. The OP also included the Thai gf in post. Why anyone does this amazes me.
  9. Accepted where. Spelled out where? I mentioned that one example attending land office for TDL then long pants and covered footwear is required. I'm talking about entering Thailand and things like 90 reports, extensions etc etc. Most important is to have required docs in organized fashion and neat and clean appearance. .....that's it.
  10. Big issue. This police report is being done many months late. When did your previous permission of stay end. Some agents don't even touch non O marriage extensions. Assume your agent is not a known company. 11 months!! Should have done a lost/stolen police report ages ago.
  11. I read this stuff all the time and just think it's folk repeating "decently dressed" requirement like an echo. Tourists come to Thailand for holiday where the minimum in most places overnight is perhaps 26. (Obviously not referring to the north) Clean shorts and good T is fine along with flip flops. Obviously there are exceptions for example some government offices etc. Agree completely with having a good attitude. What I think is most important is to be well organized, be that applying for an extension or entering the country etc etc.
  12. That's because it doesn't. You are correct. The link I posted above for online report has zero uploads. However now that OP filed report in Burriram (lives in Bangkok) he will need to file TM30 at CW and then can use online.
  13. In that case you didn't even need to deal with Burriram immigration. You could have done your 90 day report to Bangkok immigration online. Now you will need to do another TM30 when you return to Bangkok. Be aware that you can file your TM47 using your Bangkok address from anywhere in Thailand either online or via mail. Guessing your wife doesn't know that. Here is link for online filing of 90 day report. Note that since you did a TM30 at Burriram you will need to do another at CW before you can use it. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login
  14. Pretty much sums up your thread. You have the wife take care of everything and not even remotely aware of the requirements to live in Thailand. TM30 being one example. .... "If that burden is ever placed on me, I’ll gladly leave Thailand. No problemo." .... Sums it up.
  15. Seems a 90 day TM47 is not required at Phuket for residence certificate. That's good. That is only required if you spend more than 90 consecutive days in Thailand. The TM30 also reports your address in Thailand. Often never required if you have nothing to attend immigration for. Suggest that you will need a TM30 filed in order to obtain your residence certificate.
  16. OP, In the past I have traveled for months with both passports (expired and new) throughout Thailand and overseas with zero issues.
  17. You need to do 90 day report if staying in Thailand for 90 consecutive days. Every time you exit your 90 day clock starts again on reentry date. As for reentry permit yes you need to purchase at immigration or airport at departure. That's a TM8 form. 1000b single reentry and 3800b multiple
  18. The TM30 is for change of address. You changed your address and did not file a TM30. As stated earlier you were so lucky with the helpful treatment you received at Burriram. Most offices would have not been so helpful. Your swipe at CW is not required as you are not aware of the requirements.
  19. Good you started more specific thread. To kick it off .... Immigration upon arrival will NOT ask to see onward flight. Regards luggage that would not be issue if you decide to book throw away ticket. As for the first part of your questions. Wait for reply from someone who has actually obtained the evisa. My guess it your onward flight from "rent onward ticket" companies would pass.
  20. Here is just one grab from that thread.... "Hi Andreas They did not ask for that, just a copy of the receipt address notification"... That normally refers to 90 day report. Clearly others were not asked for that. TM30 was mentioned. In any event move on.
  21. Folk on extensions from a non O have permission of stay. In the case of non O marriage and retirement that is 12 month permit. Nothing permanent about it. Yes there is a pathway to Thai citizenship (if you satisfy other requirements) however for those on extensions is a year by year gig.
  22. OP, first step might be to check available appointment times. Read a report recently that it was well in advance. My preferred option would be Saigon but if timing becomes an issue Savannakhet might be an alternative as I understand it's still walk in available.
  23. OP, here is a thread specific to Phuket. I notice one post requiring a 90 day address report and another stating that's not required.
