  1. He can marry in Thailand to Thai national and subsequently obtain a non O based on marriage and then 12 month extension. All done in Thailand. Can enter Thailand on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry.
  2. Many people do not/cannot provide their boarding pass to the io. The io will accept that you cannot provide it. It has always been a requirement and unrelated to the suspension of the arrival card TM6
  3. CW has online appointment option and it works a treat. Very little waiting. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  4. The 1900 is fee for extension. The 1000single or 3800muliti is fee for reentry permit. Separate fees
  5. Personally I would go for multi. It's 3800 vs 1000. For the sake of the extra baht it allows you to exit and reenter as you need and covers you for the period of the extension.
  6. I meant apply for an eVisa (METV) while you are for example in Thailand..
  7. I'm on annual extensions retirement using money in bank method. If folk use agents or overstay or whatever effects me ZERO. Yes up to you. Fact is you stated would "dob" overstayer in. Sad
  8. I'm interested. What the heck would it have to do with you? Rhetorical question. You have shown colours already.
  9. I'm confused by your post. What visa did you have in previous pp.
  10. What does 90 day reports have to do with home visit. I struggle to understand any of your posts BTW 90 day reports can be done online or via mail.
  11. And you state "no big deal" You kidding I would have told them to ......######
  12. No need. Visas are not transferred. Reference to visa details are made in new passport. Any stamps for current extension and reentry permit stamps are transfered. Be aware that some immigration offices insist that transfers must be done at office where the extension etc was issued.
  13. Can't see an issue given you would spend 3 months (at least) outside of Thailand. @BritTim may have an opinion re your plan .
  14. Not quite understand. So every entry from a METV gives a 60 day stamp and every entry can be extended by 30 days (that you have pointed out. As for back to back METV thinking that you could obtain one pretty much every year. So something like 9 months in Thailand with a METV every year wash and repeat should be possible. As you are aware an METV is only applied for in home country or country where you have permanent residency. Some folk have asked about obtaining a METV using eVisa. I cannot recommend that.
  15. Multiple entry visas don't have a limit of the number of entries. Folk should not apply too early for ME visas as they have a life span from issue. In the case of METV it's a 6 month validity and indeed if timed well you can have almost 9 months stay using 30 day extension for last reentry just prior to expiry of the visa.
  16. Some time back the non O retirement obtained in places such as UK had insurance requirement for 90 days. Entering visa exempt and then obtaining non O retirement inside Thailand does not require insurance and became for some a good option. Even moreso with the 45 day stamp.
  17. Certainly not. Even in this thread couple stating that they recently obtained a non O retirement from visa exempt entry and no home visit. So it's random or ? Immigration is doing this based on nationality or...?
  18. Perfectly normal to me implies common occurrence. Normal procedure. I haven't read a similar OP regarding Bangkok. Retirement. Certainly not from CW. I wonder if the OP deals with Nonthaburi.
  19. You are joining two separate processes. The agent can open a bank account on your behalf if you do not have one. Then the agent can obtain the non O and subsequent extension without you providing the financials. It's tit for tat debate about the legality of obtaining the non O and extension. Bottom line is that it's done by many over many years. If you use an agent make sure that you use a well know one.
  20. Thinking given your plan is to enter visa exempt (45) early Jan then you should do a border run just prior to expiry. Turn around and reenter visa exempt for another 45 day stamp. That's 90 days and you still have option of obtaining 30 day extension is required.
  21. You are not on overstay. You have not filed a tm47. Possible 2000baht file.
