VE - Non O current requirements
DrJack54 replied to mlkik's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
To obtain non O retirement the money must be in bank on day of application. That gives you a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days of that stamp with funds (800k) having been in bank for 2 months you apply for 12 months extension. To apply for non O at UT you would require 15+ days on your current stamp. If more time is required you can obtain 30 day extension. -
Those requirements are ridiculous. How many tourists having entered visa exempt and wanting a 30 day extension would be able to supply rental agreement. Nonthaburi is a rubbish office. One alternative is to check into a hotel in Bangkok making sure at time of check in they will in fact do a TM30 and provide a screenshot of that report. Note that having entered visa exempt you need to attend Laski immigration at IT mall. Not CW. There is a photocopy joint to left side. Appointments are available. Here is link. Select Laksi. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131 Threads about process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1287846-extend-visa-exempt-at-laksi-without-an-appointment/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1294130-exempt-visa-extension-denied-because-of-no-tm-30/

You can apply for non O in Bangkok however would need do change of address. TM30. Also you may require a home visit (even for retirement) and be given under consideration period. Also in order to obtain subsequent 12 month extension....that would need to be done in Bangkok Which immigration office are you dealing with

https://aseannow.com/topic/1282251-visa-exempt-to-non-o-retirement-dates/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1297092-non-o-visa-retirement-purpose/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1301615-converting-visa-on-arrival-to-non-o-retirement-based-in-nan-province/ Disregard the "visa on arrival" tag in 3rd link. As usual the OP was meaning visa exempt. Also I did a post in that thread with some links to useful threads. It's a simple process. Which immigration office? Couple of rogue offices are currently not doing visa exempt to non O despite immigration having a TM87 for that very process. -
You are obtaining an extension. Some immigration offices require you to show funds in bank when you return for final stamp. Having said that I have NEVER read one report of final stamp not issued due to not maintaining the funds. A reprimand yes. As for transfer of funds. I did a large..ish transfer last week using WISE. Started transfer at 11am. Funds landed in my Thai bank at 1.30pm Why didn't you transfer today.

Copy old passport for new passport renewal?
DrJack54 replied to sanook 1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Some offices want every page of old pp. Some just the Photo page last entry stamp any pages with visa stamp. If currently on extensions then the visa (eg non O) that those extensions are from. Obviously reentry permit age (if have one) Safest bet is photocopy every page and they can select what they want. -
90 day report expiration

New passport, visa exempt entries.

Have read your post 3 times. No idea what you are asking. What is your question? If you are asking about entering Thailand with a SETV then you would be fine. -

2nd TV at Vientiane Thai Embassy
DrJack54 replied to SaiSagar3's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My understanding is that VOA cannot be extended by 30 days however entry on a SETV granting 60 day stamp can be extended by 30 days for Indian nationals. Edit: from the OP post below seems my understanding was incorrect . From Thai immigration.,... extension of stay permit will not be longer than 7 days ; Sri Lanka ,India,...... -
Advice SETV or exempt?
DrJack54 replied to nummer1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The thing is if the tourist eVisa was rejected you could skip the trip. If approved you should not be refused entry. There are many threads regarding eVisa. You could start a thread you could ask for guidance. If you do it would be good idea to mention your country. Several threads regarding UK recently -

Don't like your chances using visa exempt entry. Does your country offer eVisa for Thailand (tourist visa) -

2nd TV at Vientiane Thai Embassy
DrJack54 replied to SaiSagar3's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You did not overstay. You should have exited Thailand on or before Aug 6. IMO ....thinking you will not be given a second tourist visa at Vientiane. On the positive side another poster with extensive history was refused at Savannakhet and subsequently obtained a TV at Vientiane.
