  1. Not according to many including uj earlier in this thread. I will advise others based on his advice. In any event this requirement is only of interest to folk staying often in Thailand and entering visa exempt.
  2. Can't understand your post. The onward flight out of Thailand is required by the airline if flying to Thailand visa exempt. For land border entries visa exempt no exit flight is required
  3. Your first sentence... "Yes op won't need to do anything" Is correct. All the rest is not
  4. As I mentioned earlier. I rent a pad in Bangkok. We like to travel a lot and since covid that is inside Thailand. Stayed in many places and various hotels have done many TM30
  5. Agree. That's the bullet proof option (money in bank) and he look at combo method in the future. Of course he would check with his immigration office to check what they would accept. Keep in mind that he needs a Thai bank account if does not currently have one.
  6. His income amounts to 600k p.a To use combo method he would only need money in bank (200k) for 2 months prior to application and 3 months post application. However he doesn't have embassy letter and they won't accept what's stated above. Most immigration offices will want to see previous 12 months. Be aware that some offices don't even accept combination method.
  7. Yes 75 days. After that you can do couple of border runs and reenter visa exempt and each entry can be extended by 30 days. If you fly out and return I would recommend you obtain a tourist visa.
  8. As uj pointed out. Oz cannot receive embassy letter for income. I can't recall one post where for first extension income or combination method accepted without embassy letter. For your mate it seems most offices require 12 month of transfers prior to day of application for extension retirement.
  9. The airline most certainly want to see onward flight flying that route. I assume carrier such as AirAsia. It will be required 100%
  10. Indeed .. previously there were statements from posters and io along the lines of max 180 per calendar year. etc. That no longer applies. What was introduced is max 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year.
  11. All that is incorrect info. You will have no issue at all entering visa exempt. Currently that gives a 45 day stamp. The 45 days is a sweet deal that ends March 31 and reverts back to 30 days. Both tourist visa and visa exempt entry can be extended by 30 days cost 1900baht. You may require an onward flight to show airline at departure. There are options around this silly requirement. Such as rent a flight from eg "onward flight.com". As for certain number of max days in a year or 6 months etc that is incorrect.
  12. I was posting about covid extensions in reply to another poster. Have no idea what your post means.
  13. No. The TM30 report by random hotel is irrelevant. Just one example...I stayed on Koh Samed for 8 months start of covid away from my residence in Bangkok. The OP needs to do nothing.
  14. You can travel with both passports. You can do it when it suits you.
  15. You don't need most of what you stated. When is your return flight ? Within 45 days of landing in Thailand,? Why did you bother with tourist visa.
  16. Do your 90 report online using your wife's address . Or if back home just report using your wife's address.
  17. Your plan is fine. Be prepared to show your onward flight march 31 for airline at departure to Thailand. Phone screenshot will be fine.
  18. Not at all. There is often posts in various threads about BKK and DMK. For BKK the permit is obtained PRIOR to immigration. At DMK it's just after immigration. Not difficult. Then along come the posts of using fast track at BKK. Then being ushered back to reentry permit office. Ridiculous.
  19. So how much time did you lose in your day obtaining reentry permit at immigration. Including all up travel etc. At airport would take 20-30 minutes max
  20. Online reporting has window 15 days prior to due date and up till due date. Why on earth would you think a 90 report online would be accepted 6 weeks late. Amazing
  21. OP, are you NZ national? Don't wish to sidetrack your thread but noticed no replies. I have long term Thai partner and I'm Oz.. I'm sure that you can easily obtain visa to NZ for your Thai wife. I also want to know how to take my partner to Oz and added trip to NZ. Any help appreciated. I have no problem obtaining tourist visa for her to Australia but I want add on to NZ.
  22. What?? Yes some superior folk that want to use fast tract and then plead ignorance and are taken to reentry office. The facts are reentry permits are done PRIOR to immigration control at BKK. At DMK it's just other side of passport control. The office clearly visible from pp control. These threads come up too often. People making simple sound difficult.
  23. At CW they state up to 2 weeks. Most often you will receive residence certificate within one week. They will come together if you applied for 2.
  24. Tourist visa gives 60 days visa exempt give 45 days till March 31. Both can be extended by 30 days. Don't see any benefit o training tourist visa. As mentioned previously....to open a bank account best to use agent as that's step one and you need it asap.
