  1. I like advice from ubonjoe. https://aseannow.com/topic/1255340-passport-validity-when-entering/
  2. I posted earlier. Your issue will not be with Thai immigration on arrival. It would/could be with airline at departure. Your plan was poorly organized. The return flight to USA might satisfy airline at departure to Thailand..
  3. I'm well aware of that. I was referring to OP situation. He would need to exit Thailand and obtain new non O retirement. Either at a nearby consulate of at Thai immigration office. My point was if he cannot come up with another 800k then homeland best option (or agent) For extensions the funds in bank are checked retrospectively. And yes immigration is VERY strick on that. Carefully scrutinized.. Few times you completely misunderstand my posts. Read carefully.
  4. Another example of a thread that should be stopped in it's tracks. At very least moved to pub forum or general topics forum.. Scaremongering is best description.
  5. What is your visa status. Do you have a reentry permit. ME visa or.....? You only need a new TM30 if you entered on new visa or visa exempt. If reentry permit then TM30 not required. For 90 day report you could try online. Should work. Make sure to change entry date.
  6. To apply for 12 month extensions there must be 800k for two months prior to application and maintained for 3 months after application and not below 400k for remaining months. Folk using "money in the bank method" a good plan is to have a dedicated bank account for extensions. Also if not inconvenient maintain the 800k all year round. Most immigration offices allow you to apply for extension up to 30 days prior to expiry of current permission of stay. Some offices eg CW, CM etc allow applications up to 45 days early. When you first deposit the 800k for the Non O (retirement) application you would be advised to just leave it in the account..
  7. Folk entering with a tourist visa attend CW and use form TM86. Those with visa exempt entry attend LakSi and use form TM87. The non O retirement requires 800k in Thai bank account on day of application. The non O stamp provides a 90 day stamp. In the last month with the 800k having been in bank for 2 months you can apply for 12 month extension. Obviously you require a Thai bank account.. Regarding visa exempt entry you could do a border bounce. Obtaining a non O retirement in Savannakhet is also an option. Also if more time is required you can obtain 30 day extension to entry stamp.. This thread has info and useful links to list of requirements also links to other threads.
  8. Yes visa exempt entry provides a 30 day stamp. If you obtain the non O retirement in Bangkok you will attend LakSi immigration located IT mall Laksi. Do you have a Thai bank account? Here is short thread....
  9. That is possible. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only..
  10. Have you previously used "extension to visit wife" 60 days"? Immigration sets the return date for under consideration period. You cannot set it.
  11. Glad someone else has picked up on this. Just an annoyance.
  12. Even if the countries you mention were much cheaper than Thailand... I would choose Thailand every day of the week. Would add Vietnam over those countries and that joint is cheaper than Thailand.
  13. This thread has several posts from ubonjoe regarding requirements https://aseannow.com/topic/1130123-re-60-day-extension-to-visit-your-wife/
  14. Yes just print it out when it arrives. Note: for your flight back to Thailand the airline at Saigon airport will (almost) 100% require you to show onward flight. There are threads on options for that.
  15. You are correct. Netherlands is not included in visa exempt countries for Vietnam. I also had to recently obtain a visa for trip to Vietnam. Oz folk also require visa for Vietnam. The only option available is eVisa 30 day single entry. Very simple process. Takes 5 business days. Cost $25usd.
  16. Only two visa exemptions BY LAND per calendar year. Unlimited visa exempt via air but if done ongoing with little time out of Thailand you can be warned and refused entry. Ripper joint means fantastic place. I prefer to stay Bui Vien district 1. Very lively. You are visa exempt for entry to Vietnam. Nice deal. You have better options that what you have been using for stays in Thailand
  17. If reading your post correctly you are currently in Thailand. A SETV from Saigon consulate requires an appointment. Thinking they are booked weeks in advance. Disregard the current thread where guy was refused entry with a tourist visa. That can happen but rare and his history is far more extensive than yours. Flying back Saigon to CNX visa exempt ,doubt you would have any issues. Why spend such a short time in Saigon. Ripper joint. Have you used both your visa exempt border entries the calendar year? That would be simple option.

There is a Bangkok forum . Find it in "Local Forums" rather than "Visa forum"
  19. What does your post even mean. Anyone working online in Thailand for countries outside of Thailand earning income and paid into foreign bank account . So your point?? Please address the OP question
  20. So incorrect on every level pointless to correct. The OP was asking about online work. Read the the OP
  21. Have another read of the OP between another Leo. You post zero addresses the OP question.
  22. OP, Just about all rubbish posts above. You have zero issues with your plan. Assuming that you will avoid public work spaces. ZERO issues. Bit off topic but some oil/gas workers work 30 on off off and use Extensions based on retirement with a multi reentry permit.
  23. Most ridiculous post I have read today. I stated ...."don't big noise it" The OP had clear specific question. Who will complain?? Nonsense
  24. Not that I'm aware of. Thailand is an outliner. Just one example Vietnam required 6 month validity Again ....the OP was foolish not to plan ahead.
