  1. Yes. You will need to obtain a new non O retirement. Keep in mind that requires 800k in bank on day you apply and 15+ days remaining on current stamp. Then in the last 30 days of the 90 day stamp from the non O apply for 12 month extension.
  2. Which immigration office? Some want to see activity on the day of applying for extension by way of small deposit/withdrawal. For an update an actual deposit would give the days date you make the deposit
  3. Don't really follow the logic. For such a small amount (50k) Thinking best to have the 800/400k in a dedicated account for immigration purposes and open another account with a credit card with whatever funds you want to place in the account. Having stated that, I use to accounts for immigration 600k in a FD account and approx 400k in a savings account. Touch neither and use another account for day to day banking. Sort of slightly regret that.
  4. No doubt you considered the initial entry (Mar 15) to be visa exempt entry. That option would be 15 days shy of your required 6 month stay. Just a consideration. A longer stay even possible with a border run.
  5. For Vientiane I wouldn't even consider mini van. Flights Bangkok to Udon Thani and then either mini van from Udon airport or bus station near central plaza is easy. About an hour on straight drive. A companion that knows Vientiane would be a bonus.
  6. Bumping thread as you didn't have reply One thing that you should check out is waiting time for appointments at Vientiane. Your plan is workable. One thing you could add to the mix is some other places for the tourist visa. Examples such as Saigon etc. Depends where you would be staying in Thailand. There are trip report threads about border and visa runs from Udon Thani.
  7. I wouldn't fly out and return the same day visa exempt entry.
  8. If you enter on a new visa (eg tourist visa ) or visa exempt then you should file a TM30. In reality unless immigration asks for one when you apply for 30 extension then it would not be an issue. Owning the condo is irrelevant.
  9. In reality the 90 day report would be done online or via mail to office where you usually live. No need to file a TM30 and do your 90 report at a province just because you are staying there . For example in March 2020 I stayed on Koh Samed for 8 months, due to covid restrictions in Bangkok and elsewhere. I did my 90 day reports via mail to CW as that's where I live.
  10. Yes you will obtain 45 day stamp if you arrive up till March 31. Don't think it will be extended
  11. As posted above. Check spam. I made appointment CW last November and received confirmation instantly. Thinking try another appointment as if you have an confirmed appointment they will ask if you wish to cancel existing and book new
  12. Which immigration office are you referring to with such a generalized post. You would need to file TM30 for change of address and not much more
  13. Which immigration office. Do you really believe that folk on non O extension need to provide rental contract.
  14. You cannot extend a non O by 30 days. Contract for rental is not required for 12 month extension.
  15. Australian embassy for one does not provide that Also the Thai bank account in many threads is connected to pathway to a non O retirement and time is if the essence. Some embassies will require appointment. Also charge fee (not small) Agent approx 3500b short turn around
  16. First up I live Bangkok and have assisted (or tried to) to open bank account for various people. In Bangkok the banks required a residence certificate. Here comes the catch 22. Bangkok immigration will only supply a residence certificate if you have done a 90 day report.. Clearly not possible if on a visa exempt or tourist entry.
  17. Couple of points in your post. "10 years ago..." Also "CM". Your information is well past use by date. Post current experience. . For example Bangkok and others require a residence certificate. etc etc. Thinking the new money laundering laws played a part.
  18. First up you need to obtain reentry permit. You can apply for extension up till 3/9/2923. Best to apply few weeks prior to that date. Obviously you need to satisfy financials and insurance requirements
  19. Ignore that Just write any date or nothing. Same applies for departure date if reentry permit is obtained at immigration.
  20. Clearly you have no idea of requirements to open a Thai bank account with visa exempt or tourist visa entry. Especially in places such as Bangkok.
  21. The office for reentry permit is Zone 2. Past security control and PRIOR to passport control. At BKK they provide service to fill in form , provide photo etc. 200baht. Personally I prefer to have the form already prepared along with photo.
  22. Enter Visa exempt and obtain a 60 day extension to visit Thai wife.. 90 days in total. Need longer obtain 30 day extension to your visa exempt entry + visit wife extension. Total 120 days.
  23. OP, which airport are you departing from? Reentry permit is 1000baht single and 3800 multiple.. The TM8 form requires a photo.
  24. The op obtained a 30 day extension which allowed stay till Jan 19. Why did he require extension? Given current visa exempt provided 45 day stamp. visa exempt entry would have been plenty of time to obtain a non O. Yes requires 15 days remaining on permission of stay and some offices (CM 21 days) . Poor planning
