  1. Seems that you were not fully prepared. I attended CW 3 weeks ago with appointment for 90 day report. The same io made photocopy of TM47 and processed my certificate of residence. Brilliant service. No TM30 required. TM47 is a must.
  2. I can fully understand why some folk choose the convince of the option outlined above. (rent a flight) Would be my choice.
  3. Choose Bangkok Bank or Kasikorn. TDL = Thai drivers license.
  4. The certificate of residence does not state the reason. Why didn't you just tell them name of a bank or say TDL. What type of visa did you enter Thailand.
  5. You are confused. You obtained a non O based on marriage in your own country. That is a single entry visa and gives you a 90 day permission of stay stamp upon entry. At that point your non O marriage is USED. Prior to your permission of stay expiring and with 15+ days you apply for 12 months extension of your permission of stay. You do not have a visa. Alternatively you could have obtained a ME Non O marriage visa that is valid for 12 months. Some countries provide that option. In Thailand region the go to place for that visa is Savannakhet.
  6. That's a good question. Many folk in Thailand married opt to obtain ME non O based on marriage from Savannakhet. Hopefully some guys doing that can advise.
  7. Nice work Mike. OP this requirement is for check in at departure for airline. Thinking this option ~S12 USD
  8. Explained by ubonjoe in first post of this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1104150-combination-method-for-retirement-extensions/?do=findComment&comment=14204097
  9. The OP never mentioned PE visa. Living in Thailand he would be well aware of that option. Non O retirement extensions is a simple easy process. Yes requires funds in Thai bank account. No big deal nor is the one trip to immigration per year.
  10. Read his post again. BTW nice misquote. You added significant word in regards PERMANENT. TM30 is required if you change where you are living (registered address) . Not required for stays out of province or international.
  11. No SETV can be applied for from anywhere. A METV can only be applied from passport country or country where you have Permanent residence status. Perhaps research.
  12. Well that's obvious as indicated in my post. You didn't even suggest agent. Maneerat would be one he could contact in Pattaya.
  13. So let's clarify .., You join forum one hour ago and inquire about opening a business It's complex and you would need to add lot more information such as current status in Thailand. Example married to a Thai etc.
  14. You are missing the point. Pre covid oil gas workers were receiving warnings of "do not use visa exempt entries" Many of those guys were married to Thai. Or in case of OP over 50. They had options. In my personal experience I first came to Thailand already 50+. I was travelling to Saigon every month for years. In those days that Thai consulate provided triple entry visa to Thailand. I was living in Thailand. At some point the helpful io lady at Saigon consulate said.... "You are over 50. Next time get a non O retirement, you live in Thailand "
  15. Oh please. You start a thread asking for advice on Thursday and return late Sunday.????
  16. You and other chap have polluted the thread. There is no 180 day rule. Stick with the OP situation. He previously had a non O retirement with extensions and multi reentry permit. That's exactly what he should now do. This thread in the main is 6 pages of rubbish. The OP has a trouble free option. Granted more expensive but the option that matches his needs. NOTE: the OP has last visited forum 10 days ago.
  17. Indeed it is. Folk need to be aware that stamps can only be transferred at immigration office where they were issued.. Also there is no super urgency to attend immigration for transfer of information (visa) and stamps to new pp. Do that at your convenience.
  18. Thinking good idea for combo, is to use monthly income transfers that cover 400k p.a and use the 400k money in bank for the required months. Two prior and 3 post application.
  19. What airlines do you use. Change of flight most often very expensive. Silly suggestion. The guy lives in Nong Khai with small friendly immigration office. 30 day extension is no brainer. In/out 1900baht.
  20. Some embassies do not provide "letter" eg AU. Your immigration will transfer required information and stamps eg reentry permit etc. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=439177 https://assets.aseannow.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2019_08/xferstamdoclist.jpg.a365b93511fc808c2135b1f5aca86f1d.jpg
  21. So things have changed. Your point? The OP wants advice re SETV. It's now done online. Not difficult.
  22. You are correct. For application for non O retirement from visa exempt or tourist visa entry it's possible that immigration would do home visit. Regards annual extensions based on retirement it's VERY rare. I recall years ago Hua Hin immigration were doing home visits on USA citizens. Vaguely recall some international conflict at the time. Very Vague. So yeah doesn't happen. Certainly not in Bangkok.
  23. I'm in slightly similar situation. My last online was rejected. Reason given was no room #. The strange thing is that all my online reports were approved without that address detail. Recently I made in person 90 report at CW. My plan for next report is to apply online. Wait few days and if not approved send my report via mail. That works and one does not sidetrack the other.
