Overstay and Western Union
DrJack54 replied to hsoa's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You started a thread April 6 re exit Thailand may. And we're given good advice. Ignored that and now thread with overstay. Seriously ridiculous. Suggest you fly out asap as overstay fine is simple process at airport. Why require money from WU. You don't have internet banking with foreign credit card at the very least. -
SETV in Vientiane after long stay in Thailand.
DrJack54 replied to ketilnm's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Most of that period has been due covid. With all the "covid extensions" and amnesty. Try doing the same over next year period. Many posts such as this ignoring covid Current threads are about future situation where past few years irrelevant. -
Fast tract is no different to other lanes. Same scrutiny.

The "brother " of friends works in Thailand doing online teaching. Lives in Thailand continuously with TV. Rubbish. Perhaps you are referring to covid 2 year period. That has past. As for your situation....tick tok. You cannot sustain ongoing stay in Thailand using tourist visas. Folk wanting to have ongoing living in S.E.A can combine living in Thailand with substantial stays in other countries . Such as Vietnam. These threads are in the main fitting a round peg in square hole. Thailand has some of the most flexible options available including PE visa etc. Back to back ongoing SETV not an option.
-
If reading your post correctly you mention "online teaching" Seems you mean teaching Thai clients English without a work permit? As for your other point of experiences pre covid... In 2019 there were many refused entry at Bangkok airports for trying to use ongoing back to back tourist visas and visa exempt entries. Good luck with that in the future.

Correct. In most situations the OP would exit Thailand after his ME Non O visa has expired but still with current permission of stay. Then upon exit his current permission of stay would end and he could attend Savannakhet for a new ME Non O. Savannakhet will not issue him with a new visa if (as per the plan he outlines) he would still have current valid visa in pp.

I did exactly that 3 weeks ago and certificate of residence was required at Chatuchak. Pink ID would not cut it. Back to your comment re opening a bank account.... You stated in reply to status in Thailand. "Non O Thai wife - December 2022 - BKK" I have already stated that a extensions from a non O would be sufficient until recently to open bank account. Anyway enough. Don't accept your account for TDL renewal.
-
At a guess you have extensions from a non O or similar. When did you open account last year and which province. From my previous post.... "I opened a new account at another bank couple of years ago however I had extensions from non O Also rental agreement ( can't recall if that was even necessary. Kasikorn bank" )
-
It's a very recent change. I opened a new account at another bank couple of years ago however I had extensions from non O. Also rental agreement ( can't recall if that was even necessary. Kasikorn bank. At the same time Bangkok Bank straight up refused even with my non O. They wanted certificate of residence or letter from embassy. This was all in Bangkok. Things have changed a LOT even in last several months. Perhaps now not even possible to open bank account with visa exempt stamp. Even places such as Jomtien requiring COR. The issue in Bangkok (at CW) is to obtain COR you need to have made a TM47. Not possible on tourist visa. BTW for TDL the transport offices require a COR. Thinking previously Pink ID cut it. The added scrutiny seems to be down to money laundering laws.

Immigration 90 Day Print-Out
DrJack54 replied to Moti24's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your assumption is correct. The only time that you would bother to printout your TM47 confirmation is eg attending immigration to obtain something the requires it. -
Immigration 90 Day Print-Out
DrJack54 replied to Moti24's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Online works ok after reentry. After filling in name and pp # hit the magnifying glass ???? that auto fills rest of the fields. Must remember to change entered date. -
Immigration 90 Day Print-Out
DrJack54 replied to Moti24's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why not do it online. -
You cannot do it at another immigration office. You can use online option link in first reply OR Do the Report via mail.

New passport while on visa exempt
DrJack54 replied to BKKTRAVELER's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Don't waste time re immigration office. Just exit Thailand via airport no issue. Yes show both pp. They may transfer your visa exempt entry stamp and extension stamp. Either way no problem -
Website for temporary flight reservation
DrJack54 replied to thecyclist's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Out of interest please provide one actual example. You stated ..."I usually find fully refundable onward ticket...." Airline and route and cost. My experience is very different. Especially with low cost airlines. Even when select cancellation protection. In any event it's one of 4 options. You also stated ,., "having a real usable ticket incase questioned by an immigration officer upon arrival." That is nonsense. -
Fact is you had an issue at CW with a most simple process. All we get on ASEAN Now is posters side of things. Immigration officers don't get right of reply. Clearly your paperwork was not complete. You stated ...."the IO who added 4 items to my address now all finished." Why should io need to fill in basic form for people. You started a thread re COR at CW. Some time ago. In that thread ubonjoe posted link to form that is CW specific... Here it is . https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=439173 The form does not have "open bank account" option
