  1. It was already clear that you had good dealing and outcome. I did not. My reply was to post that implied any issues at CW basically down to the application. "This is a good example of how things can work well at CW if applicants prepare correctly"
  2. I specifically asked the OP to list exactly what he provided. I was interested what the io required for proof of funds using money in bank method. I personally had issues with this in November and io wanted bank statements. The other take away from that visit is that I was very surprised by the change in io,s appearance etc. I also along with OP used appointment L32 desk. The io that I dealt with had zero English (normally not an issue) and seemed to be very inexperienced. Hence when small confusion arose with bank book pages she had no idea how to understand.
  3. Four words: Ridiculous to use Train
  4. You need to apply for the non O, 15 days prior to expiry of your current permission of stay. Once they accept your application and you are in "under consideration period" you just return on the date indicated. Just to add ...you need to apply for the non O with at least 15 days remaining on your current permit
  5. Thought as much. Why anyone would even consider that I cannot imagine.
  6. What do you mean "decided to take the train. I assume combo BTS and MRT?
  7. What is Australian pension? You mean old age pension?
  8. How long is your trip to Thailand.
  9. Please outline what documents that you provided. You mentioned arrived 1.10pm. What did you do for bank letter. Did you use money in bank method. Did you provide bank book ages copies or 12 month of bank statements. Assume you also provided 90 report receipt. Photocopies of various pages of your passport. Anything else?
  10. +1 for Saxophone Bar. Especially if you are looking for quality music. Food is fine. On the BTS line so it's easy taxi or rail. Soi 4 is still good place with some friends. Be prepared for huge change in bar/music scene since covid. However it's slowly getting back. Plenty of suggestions on Google. Places such as The Night Train market (Ratchada) was completely demolished however now has new "The One" Ratchada Reviews etc on Google. On the MRT. OP, just one opinion....your itinerary plans seem bit too much. Hua Hin is nothing like it was. All the bar area near the Hilton is done (Bintabaht) However new bar area has been created. (Wonderland). Pattaya better option imo. Personally just got back from Koh Samed and that's a place you can add to Pattaya also even Bang Suray (chill joint)
  11. CM require bank statements even for money in bank method. Think Hua Hin is another.. Crazy.
  12. Many hotels, condos etc do file a TM30 registration. A screenshot grab of that will satisfy immigration for extensions etc
  13. I didn't base earlier post re insurance on that website. In another forum there were couple of posts from folk visiting Vietnam and there was no mention of insurance.
  14. Yes misread. Ta. That's good news as group of friends coming from Oz to HCMC and I was under the understanding that insurance etc was not required. @coralia No insurance required.
  15. Any updates on current entry requirements to Vietnam appreciated. Would be entering with eVisa 30 days. Currently the multi 3 month visa not available. In particular information regarding any insurance requirements and proof of vaccination etc. TIA.
  16. Link above from uj indicates insurance required. I will start thread in "visas to other countries" as I would also appreciate recent first hand experience. Organizing trip for group from Oz to HCMC and plan to also meet them there. Hence all details re insurance and any vax certificate etc would be useful.
  17. News to me that Vietnam requires travel insurance. Must check that out..
  18. As already explained...you will need to exit Thailand and reenter to extend your stay. Luckily visa exempt entry is currently 45 days till March 31. Exit in December you have time for two visa exempt entries via land. Each one you can obtain 30 day extension. So you can easily stay extra 4 months up. Where are you located in Thailand?
  19. I agree.. The onward flight flight thing (for airline) is a joke. Even more so when your passport stamps show that you live in Thailand. Also any onward flight does not assist the airline you fly with to enter Thailand. If refused entry on arrival by Thai immigration, the onward flight is irrelevant.
  20. You will all most certainly require onward flight with AirAsia. You can purchase throw away ticket approx 1500b Or purchase "rent a ticket" from companies such as "onward flight.com" . Note that the living in Thailand owning this and that has nothing to do with onward flight requirement from Airline for visa exempt entry.
  21. Good work that you obtain travel insurance. Think most are aware of their options. No need for the big brother comment. "There may be no requirement but it shows you have little respect for the people/country you plan to holiday."
  22. Cambodia is fine. And yes it's safe. Can't compare the two. Yes you can obtain second visa exempt entry no problem . Lot of folk love Phnom Penh. Personally prefer Saigon. Flights to PP and Saigon often very similar. Siem Reap is a must do for many travellers.
  23. The onward flight I mention is a flight out of Thailand within the 45 days. Any destination is ok. If required it would be the airline at departure first leg. Onward flight will not be asked for by immigration upon arrival in Thailand. Screenshot is fine however why not print out hard copy. TM7 is form for extension. Every entry into Thailand with a tourist visa or visa exempt can be extended by 30 days. Visa exempt entry after March 31 will provide 30 day stamp and an extension can be obtained. You are permitted 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year. The trip to Cambodia is via air and not included in the 2 limit (via land) mentioned earlier.
  24. Everything you outline is correct. You can enter visa exempt via air 45 days. Yes you could fly to Vietnam stay awhile and reenter again visa exempt again for another 45 day stamp. Be aware that each entry visa exempt can obtain 30 day extension. 1900baht. Also be aware that you can also do border bounce from CM exit reenter to obtain the visa exempt entry
