  1. The 90 starts from due date when done via mail even if posted 15 days early. The online 90 starts on day it's lodged. Doing it early online would mean one extra report per year. It's a one minute exercise. Doing early gives opportunity to do it by another option if it's down. Mail or in person
  2. This thread suggests one week. https://aseannow.com/topic/1102143-an-idiots-guide-to-the-retirement-extension-process-at-samui-immigration-office/
  3. Up to 30 days prior to expiry.
  4. Onward flight not required if you have visa or reentry permit. Without the airline at departure may request to see onward flight if flying visa exempt.
  5. You won't be banned. You can return anytime visa exempt. Primarily this exit is to kill off the non O and avoid overstay possibility due to divorce ending your previously valid permission of stay.
  6. Personally, suggest that you obtain a tourist visa . Vientiane would be good option. Note that an appointment is required. Same applies to Saigon. Note you are also able to do two land border visa exempt entries per calendar year.
  7. He is on the wrong bus. Think referring to non O retirement. You are not 50 yet so that's not possible. Your options eg tourist visa have been discussed in the thread. An METV would be your best option giving you up to 9 months however that is normally obtained in your pp country. SETV is for quick easy option. Can obtain from Laos, Vietnam etc.
  8. Absolutely not. At departure the immigration officer may point out to you that you do not have a reentry permit. He is being helpful. Just acknowledge you don't want one.. You will have no issue at departure. BTW: Think you are doing the wise thing exit Thailand given the visit from immigration to wife home.
  9. If you read the thread carefully, I hàve suggested this option twice. It is NOT an "Elite Visa" . It is a non O retirement plus 12 month extension and that extension is obtained annually. The initial cost should be approx 30k baht and subsequent annual extensions 15k baht. ..... Sound familiar?..... I posted this twice. Here is earlier one..... "If you have 800k to stick in a Thai bank then obtain Non O and live in Thailand on annual extensions. If you don't then use an agent. 30k for non O and extension then 15k per annum ongoing"
  10. Doing an extension in Thailand is completely different to exit and reenter Thailand on a multi entry visa. Leaving it till last day is bit strange. You are aware that you can obtain a 30 day extension to each entry and also a 60 day extension to visit wife.
  11. That's the 64million $ question. If someone has made immigration aware of divorce then he needs exit Thailand asap. Immigration is not notified of divorce. It would require a grass. BTW: thinking you have a PE Visa? The OP asked about that option. Your information would be helpful.
  12. Good question. Neighbour or random male "friend" Run Forest run! From my earlier post..... "Concerned about immigration visit. That's not normal."
  13. Elite visa would definitely be an option Some of the guys with PE visa can advise. The thing with that visa is overstay just about rules you out. If you have the means to obtain that 5 year visa (think it's 600k) then that would be great option. If that's on your radar perhaps best to exit Thailand at some point and go from there. Again guys that have that visa can best advise. It can be applied for from outside of Thailand. I have a Belgium mate that applied when outside of Thailand and was greeted at BKK airport by elite staff and sticker attached to pp.
  14. Indeed. As others have stated. Thailand does not have the 6 month rule, which I think be outlined from other Asian countries eg Vietnam. And yes Thai Smile would be aware of that. Safe trip.
  15. Don't do that. To be frank you have limited options. You cannot obtain a new non O based on retirement. You are on overstay but different from the "usual overstay" If it wasn't for the home visit I would suggest that take time and get your affairs in order and exit Thailand prior to August. From there you would need to consider options how to return. Being settled here no doubt you have "stuff" to sort out. Obtaining a METV that provides almost 9 month stay would be one option
  16. OK.... Your permission of stay ended date of divorce. However immigration is not notified of divorce. You mentioned on good terms with X wife. You can run small risk of remaining in Thailand or exit . When you exit there will be no issue with immigration. Concerned about immigration visit. That's not normal. Are you 50+
  17. Did you obtain this visa in eg Savannakhet. OR Did you obtain a 12 month extension at immigration office in Thailand? If so you have a multiple entry non O marriage. In that case you have no issues. You can stay in Thailand till the expiry you mentioned
  18. Do you mean extension based on marriage from a non O.....OR A ME non O marriage visa valid for one year? If an extension then that permission of stay ended date of divorce. If a ME non O marriage visa then that permission of stay remain valid. Why did immigration do a home visit. Are you on OK terms with x wife? When folk get divorced sometimes the farang remains in Thailand and exits prior to permission expiry.
  19. Stamp is 90 days from date of entry. Counting entry date as day 1. July 8 is correct. Your previous permission of stay ended the day you exited Thailand.
  20. Your point? Perhaps extensions retirement from a non O may require insurance in the future... What if what if......zero point of guess work.
  21. Thailand immigration will allow you into the country with less that 6 months validity. However as @Caldera points out Airlines have their own rules for issuing boarding pass. Since many countries have the 6 months rule it's not uncommon for airlines to insist on this.
  22. You can make appointment at CW. Works a treat. Be aware to include hard copy of confirmation email of appointment. Link here..... https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  23. Seriously your OP along with this post is all over the shop. At times you refer to PE (elite visa) requirements. That visa is purchased. It does not require maintaining funds in the bank unlike extensions based on retirement. You stated in another post this..... "To answer the question about age, I am 65 years old. I am trying to amass the funds needed for a longer term deal but still short of the amount needed to transition to another category of visa." Your best option is a non O based on retirement and subsequent extensions. That would have been the go to option rather than the other rubbish such as ED visa, tourist visa etc. Without rehashing the details extensions based on retirement requires 800k baht for some months and 400k at other times. That was available to you from age 50. Elite visa is a straight out purchase. Think it's 600k for 5 years. (someone will correct if wrong amount) . That visa does not have a minimum age unlike mentioned for the non O retirement. Great option for some. If you have 800k to stick in a Thai bank then obtain Non O and live in Thailand on annual extensions. If you don't then use an agent. 30k for non O and extension then 15k per annum ongoing.
  24. It's 800k two months prior and three months after application. Not below 400k at other times. Regards under consideration period for marriage extension it's recommended to maintain the 400k in account till final stamp in the pp.
