  1. In earlier post you described having stamps transferred at BKK airport. So what stamp was transferred. I'm thinking you don't have 12 month extension stamp and reentry permit?
  2. When I had my stamps transferred at CW (where they were issued)....no problem, however when I then went to reentry permit counter at CW they told me that they couldn't transfer my reentry permit as it was issued at DMK. As someone else also posted above...very surprised that option of transferring at airport is possible. Never seen it mentioned in reports and transfer of stamps to new pp comes up often.
  3. Indeed. When I last had stamps transferred I just traveled with both passports for many months flying out every month. Did that to avoid trip to CW as not very convenient. Had them transferred when time for extension. Hopefully our man ubonjoe can clear it up..
  4. Surprised. I was under impression that stamps must be transfered at immigration office where extension, reentry permit etc was issued. In your case you had visa information placed into new pp along with current extension stamp etc? Did you have a reentry permit also. If this is possible I'm really surprised that folk don't just use the airport to transfer stamps when they have a trip out.
  5. Are you married to a Thai or have Thai child? If yes then you can obtain a 60 day extension to visit. That extension can be obtained once per entry.
  6. You can obtain a non O based on marriage or retirement from your visa exempt entry. The based on marriage option has less onerous financial requirements than based on marriage however involves more paperwork and possibly home visit.. The choice is yours.
  7. The female io is wrong. You can obtain a non O marriage from your visa exempt entry.
  8. The onward flight needs to be within 30 days if flying visa exempt
  9. It does not need to be return ticket Any onward flight within 30 days would satisfy the airline
  10. Name them. BTW there are approx 75 immigration offices. Think you might come up with 3 or 4 rubbish offices. BTW for some folk a visit to immigration with travel adds up to best part of a day. You should also be aware that not returning 3 month with bank book to Jomtien has zero consequences
  11. That pretty much sums it up. Just by way of example... I have not been out of Thailand since start of covid. Currently doing 90 reports online. In 2 weeks I take a two week trip to Oz. My current report is due while I'm away so clearly not required. I expect to get the reminder email which of course I will ignore. When return my 90 clock starts on that date. One month later I have second trip back to Oz. Again my 90 clock will reset when I return. My first 7 years in Thailand on non O extensions retirement, I never did a 90 report due to frequent travel. In fact would probably never have made one if not for covid.
  12. The TM6 is currently suspended. However many applying for covid extension (eg OP) have entered Thailand prior to when they stopped doing them at airport. Actually I'm about to go to Oz for couple of weeks and upon return I won't be required to fill in a TM6. Shortly after that I will attend immigration (cw) to obtain new 12 month extension. I won't require a tm6. Personally all this is fine but I don't like the term "temporarily suspended" which is what was stated to describe TM6 at the airports.
  13. You haven't mentioned if the non O is based on retirement or marriage. If based on retirement the funds need to be shown to come from abroad. That requirement is generally overlooked if funds have been in the bank for "some period of time" . Recent report where someone with funds in the bank for long time was being asked to show evidence (bank statement) to show funds from abroad.
  14. The only 60 day extension possible would be reason "to visit family" BTW any extension would need to be applied for prior to expiry of current permission of stay.
  15. You can apply for the non O anytime now but need to do it 15 days prior to expiry and longer at some offices. Do you have Thai bank account in place with required funds.
  16. You basically require the same photocopies etc that you used to obtain 30 day extension. There is an affidavit with tick box. Many tick second box.... embassy does not provide letter. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=727659 Also have your TM30
  17. You can obtain 60 day covid extension. There is only one 30 day "standard extension" per visa exempt entry.
  18. That's the issue. There are no written rules. Unlike land entries (visa exempt) that have a limit of 2 per calendar year (some countries exempt) it's easy to know where you stand. Re your question about how long out of Thailand it's again guess work. A few weeks would help. Many previously were just flying places such as Saigon and return day or two later..
  19. People have been refused entry having entered multiple times visa exempt via air. Especially if the entries are "back to back" with short periods out of Thailand.
  20. No. What you refer to as apply for "exit stamp" is a reentry permit. The until date on that permit will expire same date as your current extension
  21. Just one example: Jomtien requires you to return to immigration 3 months after obtaining extension using money in bank method and show bankbook. One of the very few offices to make up rules..
  22. Possible at rubbish immigration office such as Jomtien. Generally not. Change of address should have zero to do with 90 day report.
  23. Good plan. Just check out what your immigration office requires for that 60 day extension.
  24. Prior to expiry of current permission of stay apply for 60 day extension to visit wife. That permit will start from end of current permit. You would need purchase reentry permit. When return you can apply for 12 month extension. All depends on how long you need before you return.
