For extension based on marriage only 400k in bank for two months prior to application for extension and maintained durning under consideration period. If the financial requirements were the same for marriage and retirement NO ONE would extend based on marriage from a non O . The only group that would still opt for based on marriage is the folk doing extensions from a non O-A to avoid the insurance requirement.

Bit depends on how much longer you wish to stay in Thailand. The two visa exempt entries via land with extensions gives you 4 months. It you are in loas trying for a second tourist visa not silly idea. If rejected the stamp wouldn't/shouldn't prevent land border entry.

You can use an agent to avoid the 800k requirement. You still require a Thai bank account. In Bangkok that would be very difficult/impossible on visa exempt entry. Agent can obtain that. Embassy letter possibly only option. To do non O retirement application without agent... You require 800k in your Thai bank account on day of application. Again your thread is a guessing game. State your desired length of stay in Thailand and you will receive sensible replies.

You attend immigration office according to where you live. Not sure if you Nonthaburi or general Bangkok as you mentioned Silom Rd. Visa exempt extension for Bangkok you attend IT mall Laksi. You need basic passport pages also TM30. Also TM7 with photo and 1900baht. Note: skip the emoji it's childish.

If the accounts are with same bank they will do the "bank letter" showing ownership of both accounts in your name only and also both balances on ONE letter. 100baht Obviously if your immigration office requires 12 month bank statements you need that for both accounts. Some office may accept photocopies of both sets of bank book pages.

OP, do you have another bank account with same bank? If yes then just provide both accounts. If the account you mention is your only account then immigration will not accept. Have you obtained a 60 month extension to "visit Thai wife" If you have not then that would provide time for seasoning. Suggest you chat with your immigration office. They might overlook the error.

What many other immigration offices and for that matter consulates outside of Thailand have staggered lunch break. Seems you wasted best part of a day for stamp that you could have obtained at airport in minutes. As they say "up to you". Rather foolish option in my book.

That is correct. However as usual some stupid offices will still insist on the two months. Think that was mentioned in thread link I posted earlier. Thinking CM would be fine. The OP really needs to chat with his immigration office. Sometimes "alternatives" are provided/suggested.

Thanks for being polite. Clearly we have very different views on it. Bit off topic but the ME non O marriage has been discussed as a misused visa. My take on that is ...not interested as it's a valid option so go for it. If I was married it would be my go to visa as I enjoy travel to Saigon. Would suit me perfectly. The thing is when something makes it impossible eg covid then it's bit p weak to have folk complain that the 400k for 3 months is out of their reach.

You miss my point. Maintaining 400k in Thai bank for 2 months + under consideration period and then being able to live off it for 9 months is a sweet deal. I specifically referenced those that couldn't obtain a ME non O marriage during covid and couldn't "transfer 400k" until borders open. Heaven forbid they require medical treatment. In the last 12 months I had a hip replacement which (kid you not) was 400k. Can't put 400k in a bank for 3 months!!......cry me a river..

Border bounce with a reentry permit would enable you to obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife as you are allowed one per entry to Thailand. Very messy. Chat with immigration. They may accommodate you.
