  1. The airline can very well insist upon onward flight. Many threads about this. Sometimes requested and sometimes not. You can buy the cheapest throw away ticket or check out sites such as "onward flight.com"
  2. Not clever. Just a throw away line from you. The guy I quoted complains that he never obtained a degree as he had to work for a living. Then complains that he had inadequate teachers when at school. Just another fella playing the "someone's else's fault" card.
  3. IMO not clever. Couple of posters have already suggested 60 day extension to visit wife. Not sure if this alternative would work but you could chat with immigration regarding applying for extension with full knowledge that it will be refused and then granted 7 days to leave Thailand. (it's not an extension) . Edit: just re read OP. You were happy (it seems) to apply for a 30 day extension. When uj and zzzzz suggested a 60 day extension to visit wife you didn't reply?? Bit more paperwork but not difficult.
  4. Scroll down. Not difficult
  5. I have placed many assets into my long term Thai partner. 3+ condos for LONG term relationship. I can afford it. Thanks for advice.
  6. Thanks for reply. I most likely would not have even started thread if the owner was in Thailand. Yes he could use a Thai lawyer with power of attorney etc. He may need to travel to Thailand.
  7. So...buying condo from UK guy. The buyer is Thai national (my partner) Not sure how to proceed. The UK owner is back in UK and I'm not sure how this sale proceeds. Have done this a few times but the owners previously were Thai. Very simple process at the land office. Just curious as to how this guy gets paid. Easy for me to transfer funds from Oz to my Thai bank using Wise but ignorant of the process regarding settlement. Any advice appreciated.
  8. Available time slots are listed when you open booking link. Would seem that time is booked out. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  9. Old telly for the tip. No idea why it's there. The plug in pic is probably a LAN . Looks like area the farang owner used as mini office.
  10. So purchased a condo. These two pics show item near an air con and plug in an office. Not sure of their purpose. Not good pics however someone might have an idea. TIA
  11. Fine Lived here 10 years on extensions based on retirement. BTW I have never ever made a TM30 or provided for for extension or certificate of residence or whatever. Last extension they wanted TM47. Basically it's a stuffed up country re technology. Then on top of that every immigration office makes up their own rubbish. Quite ridiculous really
  12. Been doing extensions based on retirement for 10 years. Both items that you mention have never been required. However last extension at CW asked for tm47. Many folk provide stuff and when accepted think it's a requirement.
  13. Excellent report Thanks for posting in detail really helpful. On slight difference from my own experience at CW last Nov was that the io wanted bank statements. When I asked why (had never been requested previously) .... She stated that I had some months with zero activity. Same as you I use a dedicated bank account. Surprised that you didn't use the banks at the CW complex for your bank letter etc. (unless your SCB) Also bit surprised that you didn't use appointment option. It works so well.
  14. Whatever. Recent report of Laksi immigration very easy walk from Red line that runs from Bang Sue. Work out what suits you.
  15. 2 hours. And that's somehow ridiculous? Guessing that you did not make appointment?
  16. Good news. Why not post exact details of all the docs that you provided. Up to date reviews of extension always welcome.
  17. Immigration is open on weekends at land borders Cambodia.
  18. A completed TM-8 form The correct fee Colored photo (4cm x 6cm) Photocopy of passport (main page and latest entry stamp) The current fees for re-entry permits are as follows: 1,000 Baht for single 3,800 Baht for multiple.
  19. How many hours is round trip from your joint to immigration office?
  20. No problem. I make slips every day. Zero issue.
  21. He entered on visa exempt and Laski does do extensions etc for those entries. The good news is that Laksi IT Mall is quite close to CW so if sent to the other it's not huge deal.
  22. Your post in the main is correct... re two visa exempt entries via land per calendar year etc . The visa exempt is listed to return to 30 days after March 31. No one can state that it will be extended beyond that. The unlimited visa exempt entries via air is correct however in reality ongoing back to back will eventually hit a road block.
  23. The OP stated that duplicate documents were required for his extension today. Your post stated that was not required. Just to remind you....you typed. "No, I wasn't asked for duplicate docs". That's hardly being pedantic. So it appears ... extensions based on marriage require duplicate photocopies and those base on retirement do not. That's hardly being pedantic. You didn't read the thread. You just read the title.
