I want to stay 6 months in thailand
DrJack54 replied to parafareno's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your thread was asking about 6 months stay and that has been answered. As for a ME Non O (marriage) one year visa you can obtain that from Savannakhet (and other places). Easy requirements. You can obtain a non O marriage or retirement (90 day visa) followed by 12 month extension. Financials required. I find the visa and visa exempt options available in Thailand excellent. -
Advice needed for OA renewal/extension
DrJack54 replied to mwardy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
To exit and reenter prior to expiry of visa and be stamped in for 12 months you would require insurance for that period. Do you have a valid non O-A or have extension to a non O-A. Edit: just read that you "renewed" your visa. What you mean is that you obtained an extension. The visa is not extended but rather your permission of stay is extended. -

Strange how if you use an agent there is no under consideration period. -
90 days report in Chiang Mai -

Thankyou ubonjoe. How easy is that. My report is now pending. Hopefully this whiz bang new system will continue with no hitches. Such a quick simple process. -
90 days report in Chiang Mai -
DrJack54 replied to RedReding's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Hopefully can post question about online report here. So just now started to fill in my online report. The issue is address. I cannot recall on my previous online report I included my room # or not. Sounds trivial however as I understand it the info must match exactly your previous report. Wishing I had taken screenshot of last time I fill in the information. -
20 year Elite card - 1Million Baht
DrJack54 replied to scorecard's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
New Zealand is a mini vacation from Australia not Thailand. Tickets from Thailand to NZ would be expensive and long and involve a stopover. If you wish to go to NZ do it, but not as a visa run. -

You could obtain a tourist visa at Vientiane. Depends where your staying in Thailand. Keep in mind that you could also do 2 border bounce for visa exempt entry. With extension to each that's 4 months. -

The answer to most of your questions is No. There are a zillion threads on this topic. Google "Elite Visa AseanNow" and all the information is there. Also an interesting thread of a review concentrating on the negatives. -
Police arrive where? ...... The OP is aware of his options. Some have suggested apply for extension which will be rejected and be given 7 days to exit OR just exit with one day overstay. Simple. Up to him.

This is very boring. The thread you refer to about having funds on your person for visa exempt entry, I was correcting you. 10k for individual and 20k family Also that it had to be in cash. As for onward flight I always state that onward flight may be asked for by airline. So does our expert ubonjoe. As for the OP he has 2 options. Go to immigration and request an extension and when denied will be given 7 days to exit Thailand and pay 1900 for application. Other choice is to exit Thailand with one day overstay. In most likelihood he will not be fined. Has nothing to do with showing delayed flight. I also note several others have suggested to just exit, uj being one.

Or breaks a leg walking into airport.

Couldn't care less. Very happy to return to using mail in option. Zero concerns. -
I want to stay 6 months in thailand
DrJack54 replied to parafareno's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can obtain another tourist visa at nearby consulate. OR you can do border bounce and obtain visa exempt entry. You can make two visa exempt entries via land border per calendar year. -
Disagree with you on this one. Even for PE visa application there would be no negative impact. It's not uncommon for flight delays that can cause one day overstay. 100% the OP should just fly out.

When does it go into the gazette. Cutting it fine as usual.

I want to stay 6 months in thailand
DrJack54 replied to parafareno's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Tourist visa + 30 day extension = 90 days. Border run for visa exempt entry + 30 day extension. = 60 days. Wash and repeat border run = 60 days. Total 7 months OR enter step 1 visa exempt instead of tourist visa total 6 month. -

You don't need an agent. All you need to do is exit and reenter prior to expiry of your non O-A visa. You will be stamped in for another 12 months. Be aware that if you wish to exit and return in that 12 months you will need to buy a reentry permit either multiple or single. Now do some research on what insurance you need to obtain for that period. -
Dual Nationality passports
DrJack54 replied to krobert6's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
As others have pointed out just purchase a multiple reentry permit 3800baht. Forget the UK pp. BTW reentry permit is a stamp that takes half a page. You can obtain at airport upon departure. -
TM30 For X-Wife's Condo
DrJack54 replied to atpeace's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I rent out couple of places using an agent and always with a 12 month lease. My agent organizes the TM30 and provides tenant with what is required namely receipt.
