DrJack54 replied to Tractorboy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The OP entered visa exempt (incorrectly referred to as visa on arrival) For a 30 day extension why does marriage come into it. -
TM6 cards scrapped?
DrJack54 replied to hotandsticky's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Common practice is to provide your boarding pass. Surprised you experience is that not asked for. However many folk chuck their boarding pass so io don't insist. -
Simple process using an agent. You could come to Thailand on tourist visa. Have agent assist with open Bank account and then transfer 800k into the account. Obtain non O retirement here at Thai immigration and then subsequent 12 month extension. Renew your extension every year. Job done. Welcome to thailand.

Extend visa on arrival
DrJack54 replied to Tractorboy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No problem. You are actually extending your visa exempt entry TM7 form . 1900baht. Also few basic photocopies of passport. Apply couple of weeks prior to expiry of your 30 day stamp. -
TM6 cards scrapped?
DrJack54 replied to hotandsticky's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
All you are showing is fact your a poor traveller. I always have few pens. Not because I want to help people but so they don't hold me up at immigration upon arrival in Thailand. The number of dumb folk in front of me. If I don't see TM6 I ask if they have one along with pen. Also remind them that boarding pass is often required. -

TM6 cards scrapped?

There have been few similar threads. I'm amazed. If the airline hands you a tm6 or they are handed out in immigration queue then fill it in. If the io accepts it and hands you back the departure section then take it. Job done. Who cares.- 108 replies

Non O visa extension
DrJack54 replied to RafPinto's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No because an agent pays the immigration office and of course the client pays the agent. I have nothing against using an agent however this case is nothing like that. -
Covid extension rejected
DrJack54 replied to Leon1980's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Completely irrelevant. You assume covid extensions are being provided due to being "stranded". Incorrect assumption. Covid extensions are available up till July 25. You can read it in the Royal Gazette. The offices that are not issuing them just want you to use an agent. It's called scam.. -
Non O visa extension
DrJack54 replied to RafPinto's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Will remain with current date. May 2023. Also the error with 2 names on bankbook was basic mistake made by mother. Very lucky to be given the extension -
OP, in addition to photocopies of bank pages you also provided bank statement. Was this requested or just provided by yourself. You should not require photocopies of all passport pages. At for original non O......if in old pp that should not be required. The information pertaining to original non O is entered into first couple of pages of new pp.
