  1. I love that guys do their own research, shows initiative. And added spice of being rude. I suggest with the treasure trove of evidence you have gathered your best to obtain insurance that matches your reentry stamp. Note to others: do not do that. So no more questions or advice required. Enjoy.
  2. Ignore it. You will still obtain your next extension when you apply in a year.
  3. Plus with so much flooding in Pattaya there will always be a use.
  4. Bit risky think you should report in person as well. Sure to be sure.
  5. They could always just do as Australia did to France. "We don't want that anymore. We had change of heart"
  6. Sounds like one of those beauty pageants where every chick answers "world peace" when asked what they hope for.
  7. That's correct. The non O is a single entry visa and it's validity is 90 days. You need to enter Thailand while it's still valid. Then io will stamp you in for 90 days. During that time you can organize for your extension. Having funds seasoned for 2 months etc. PM sent.
  8. That's correct. Also as uj clarified for you that if you obtain your non O prior to travel upon arrival you will be stamped in for 90 days.
  9. The clerks issuing queue tickets and check docs often know very little. Sounds like this may be MTT. BTW .....in my 10 years here I have never done a TM30. Even when I obtained a residence certificate.
  10. Seems rather strange to me. He could do 90 report online or via mail or agent. I have my 15 day window open next week. The photocopies (that CW return to me along with new form each time) are already in envelope ready for posting.
  11. Your summary is correct. Never heard of updating your TM30.
  12. Thinking your best option is to just enter visa exempt. As previously pointed out....that 30 day entry can be extended by 30 days. 1900 baht. Hopefully by then you can do a border run to buy more time for your marriage and subsequent non O based on marriage. Then you 12 month extension. Good luck.
  13. Please stop as your statements are incorrect. Most posters cut slack and do not pick folk up on incorrect terms, however for some reason you continue. Visas cannot be extended PERIOD. Your thread concerns a non O visa based on retirement. That is a single entry visa (can be obtained inside Thailand from tv or visa exempt entry) The permission of stay granted from that visa can be extended. Those extensions can be ongoing. Here is a pic of a non O based on retirement. You will notice the word "used". Your stamp obtained inside Thailand will look different but still the same.
  14. Monty Python splitters sketch. Priceless. Not so sure works with vague questions on AseanNow..
  15. If you are returning with a reentry permit you are not required to file TM30. That would be required if entering with new visa or visa exempt. Edit: OP, just noticed you did not specify return from o/s or just travel to another province. You do not need to file a TM30. That is now for change of address.
  16. Don't even know what that refers to. I've posted reference to recent reports of success re-enter Thailand with 30 day insurance and stamped in for date matching reentry permit. You mention contradictory advice. From who and surely that's not the post above with red circle. Please. You earlier stated ..... "I was told here that I needed coverage for the remainder of my visa extension".... Told by who? BTW You state ..... "I notoriously get the full treatment when entering (and exiting actually) and don't want to give them any ammo". What on earth does that mean. The OP heading is about returning with existing extension (reentry permit). Why do you get the "full treatment"
  17. Thinking that you most likely have read this thread. Some reports here. Don't know what you mean by "high level source" If it's an agent disregard. Think I read that Pattaya company had suggested insurance for time remaining on their reentry permit. Not true.
  18. Haven't ever seen that. Required for non O retirement but not for non O marriage.
  19. Good idea and I have the reentry page marked for boarding pass with airline. As for the imm officer at arrival he can see the many stamps near most recent departure stamp. Pretty hard to mis fact that I have an extension based on non O
