  1. Geez... I gave specific example re flight from eg Saigon to Bangkok. You 100% need to obtain boarding pass at airline desk. Usually opens 2 hour prior to flight. 100% they will ask for onward flight using the airlines I referred to earlier. Your problem is you post only personal experience. Think you QLD...have you ever flown visa exempt to Thailand using eg Jetstar. Yes or No. Without onward flight.
  2. Meaning he would not be using an agent.. But you just had to dig in unrelated comment re use of agents.....sad
  3. Silly comment. Clearly the OP is doing the extension himself. Even if was using agent it would be "extension based on retirement"
  4. You are so naive. The requirement for onward flight entering Thailand visa exempt very much depends on the carrier and the route. Just one example.... if in Vietnam and want to fly to Thailand without a visa or reentry permit and they use low cost airlines such as NokAir, AirAsia, etc ... 100% they will need to show onward flight. BTW many airports require to obtain boarding pass at airline desk..
  5. Re the small deposit to show activity on day of application (some offices want this). You can obtain bank letter same visit. If your office requires bank statement you can obtain that early. Never heard of issue with statement balance different from balance that includes deposit and update on the day of application..
  6. Try that with low cost airlines such as AirAsia, Nok, Jetstar etc. There is zero refunds and change of booking cost more than new flight. Of course rent a flight is not an airline. That's funny.
  7. Read posts carefully. I stated .... ".....for at least 2 months prior to extension" I was referring to extensions NOT applying for non O.
  8. Best to obtain the non O and apply for extension in the last 30 days of the non O permission of stay.. You cannot do the extension that early. Also what financials are you planning to use. If money in the bank the funds need to have been in your Thai bank account in your name only for at least 2 months prior to extension Assume that you have the bank account in place.
  9. The multi (90 day) tourist visa for Vietnam has been reintroduced. Can anyone advise on Process time. Earlier this year I did single entry and it took 5 business days.. TIA
  10. The OP mentioned previously he used visa exempt entry and onward flight. From the OP.... "I don't have a visa and am a US citizen." The post above yours confirms that indeed onward flight can be required for airline at departure.
  11. You can obtain rent a ticket at companies such as "onwardticket.com" ....$12 USD. The onward flight may be required by airline at departure..
  12. Many have been asked by airline if flying visa exempt. Your point......
  13. In your opinion. There are better options posted in this thread. I put METV last on list. The OP indicates ongoing plan to spend up to 9 months per year ongoing. For ONE or 2 years METV could be an option. Even then better options than METV
  14. Please explain "new tax incentive" Along with "surprise tax package"
  15. Perhaps I'm missing something. You already have a PE Visa and are commenting on less attractive new packages. Folk can elect to buy or not.
  16. Very surprised. Did you supply certificate of residence Most banks require this. Which province did you apply for bank account
  17. It's a 24/7 hour gig. If unmanned just draw attention to staff and will be sorted quick smart..
  18. The person you quoted is exactly correct. Just Scaremongering and side tracking thread which is very common..
  19. What visa/extension did you have when you tried to open bank account?
  20. I went through few steps after reading your post that it was difficult. Seemed to work OK ... My last eVisa using that link was for a single entry 30 day tourist visa Feb of this year. Applying for a multiple entry 90 day TV in couple of weeks, so hoping the process is as simple as it was previously.
  21. You are worrying over nothing. The reentry permit desk is after security desk and just prior to passport control. It's bullet proof. In this pic the red rectangle is the permit desk. Note the "2" on sign above. Hells bells man ask airport staff if in doubt.
  22. Yes. Use Zone 2. Old thread but still applies. https://aseannow.com/topic/1221641-re-entry-permit-suvarnabhumi-airport/
  23. Not that I'm aware of. Can't understand why you would want it in English.
  24. At BKK airport office located Zone 2 left side. After security check and prior to passport control (immigration) At DMK the office is just past immigration (pp check) 3800b multi and 1000b single entry. At BKK airport they offer service of fill in TM8 and photo etc 200b It's a quick process however allow some extra time. You can obtain reentry permit at your immigration office.
