  1. What is stopping you from opening a separate bank account. They are basically free. Maintain a dedicated bank account for your pension transfers and another account for your daily banking needs.
  2. Couple of years old but very clear report. Might assist. You should state what method that you are using. Money in bank or income method https://aseannow.com/topic/1224751-marriage-visa-extension-guide-chiang-mai/
  3. You also stated.... She just needed Passport pages copied, real passport to view and keep for two weeks CW held onto your passport for two weeks? Nup.
  4. The norm for Income method requires bank statements.
  5. Which immigration office
  6. You stated the following... "That requirement is in respect of extensions, rather than visas" Referring to funds need to come from abroad. That's incorrect. Simple.
  7. 9 months would be plenty to not need to show funds came from abroad. Many folk have killed off non O-A and used existing funds to obtain non O retirement in Thailand.
  8. No proof of origin of funds required for extensions . Obtaining a non O retirement inside Thailand requires proof funds came from abroad
  9. Nonsense. Some folk need to show bank statements at CW if they use a day to day bank account and as a result can have consolidated transactions. There are many folk that use a dedicated bank account to park the funds in. Also there are many folks that use an FD account. I have never provided bank statements at CW. Last November for current extension the immigration officer pointed out that she wanted to see an entry every month. That was a surprise however easily done.
  10. The OP in this thread has changed address. OP second post..... "We moved house in December." Some folk are insisting that TM30 is responsibility of the owner.
  11. My post was in reply to someone stating that bank statements are required and I was pointing out that I have obtained all my extensions without bank statements. Of course all the other requirements need to met and provided such as TM7 etc. Your point?
  12. Here is yet another thread some time ago where two very experienced guys (one being uj) have quoted you and point out your misunderstanding. Both on first page.
  13. Sez who? Not all folk applying for an extension are doing annual extensions and also have a Thai wife living in her home. For the majority married or not they are renting. Some even own their own condo etc. The person applying for extension may be required to show proof of a TM30. That my be as simple as obtaining a screenshot from hotel where you are staying. It may be doing the TM30 as possessor etc. Bottom line is it's the applicants responsibly to provide docs for immigration. Your advice is poor and shows little knowledge. In the main based on your experience of wife being fined some years ago.
  14. Exactly. Ignore some poorly informed posts. It is YOUR responsibility to provide all the required docs.
  15. Still stating incorrect information regarding TM30. Have a read of threads. Perhaps ubonjoe first reply in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1125664-tm30-fines/
  16. OP, an alternative to starting over is to use agent for your next extension and also meet the financials for the next extension year. Meaning keep the funds in the new account and then you can return to doing it yourself for the extension after the one coming up.
  17. I have used a bank book alone for each extention at CW. Most recent Nov 2022.
  18. Strange. In the picture he doesn't look like a dill. Guess images can be deceptive.
  19. It's even more amazing that it's in a visa forum.
  20. Here is a thread. Note first part of ubonjoe reply in his first post. You won't have any issues. https://aseannow.com/topic/1251302-couple-of-questions-about-ed-visa/
  21. There is a dedicated forum for weed folk. Best post there.
  22. You are allowed 2 visa exempt entries via land borders per calendar year. You would be best served by doing one just prior to March 31 as they provide 45 day stamp and you can also o rain 30 day extension. That buys time. Yes METV is meant to be applied for in home country. Little cloudy now since eVisa available from some countries. What is your pp country?
  23. Taking into account the details you provided thinking a good option would be a METV. You can obtain 9 months out of that and together with couple of border bounces + 30 day extensions would be bullet proof.
  24. OP, are you 50 years +. If yes obtain a non O retirement and subsequent annual extensions. Being from USA you could enter visa exempt and obtain the non O and extension using funds in the bank method. You would also require a Thai bank account in your name only to start the process. You state:... "Marriage Visa ? while I stay in Thailand and she goes back to U.S.A. Regards Kenny Dee. What you are calling a marriage visa is a Non O visa. It can be based on marriage or retirement and the basis for extension can change from one to the other at time of extensions.
  25. Don't believe that story and if actually occured the io was well out of order
