  1. I was not referring to bankbook update. I was referring to "bank letter". Bank letter can be obtained prior to day of application. If that's not the case in Samui then fine.
  2. Enter prior to Jan 3 to obtain another 60 day stamp. That 60 day permit can be extended by a further 30 days at local immigration office
  3. Most folk apply one or two weeks prior to expiry of 30 day stamp. The 30 day extension is added to expiry of your current stamp. Be aware some strange offices eg Jomitien, sometimes send you away and tell you come back when closer to expiry.
  4. Definitely. I deal with CW and do it pretty much when window opens 45 days early. As most are aware the 12 month extension is added to expiry of current permission of stay. Zero gain by waiting till close to expiry.
  5. Which immigration office will you use? BTW you cannot apply for the non O retirement until you turn 50. Here is a thread that explains process from visa exempt entry stamp to non O retirement https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1325238-procedures-for-non-imm-o-and-one-year-retirement-extension-from-a-visa-excempt-30-day-entry/
  6. https://aseannow.com/topic/1296565-non-b-visa-get-it-in-vientiane-or-savannakhet/
  7. Just my opinion....you could consider return flight to Udon Thani and short minivan to friendship bridge ,(Nong Khai) You don't need an agent. Both Vientiane and Savannakhet require an appointment. @Tod Daniels may have advice..
  8. Where are you located Assume you are just doing a border bounce and not obtaining a Visa in Laos
  9. It happens. You omitted the purpose of my post. "Can obtain at your immigration office or international airport."
  10. Recent extension done at Jomitien. https://aseannow.com/topic/1330770-diy-retiement-extension-jomtien/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1329085-after-completing-retirement-extension/
  11. You state that you WILL turn 50 in January. You cannot obtain a non O prior to turning 50. At most immigration offices you could obtain a certificate of residence however at Bangkok you cannot unless you have a 90 day report..
  12. 5-10 days. Apply early. You have enter by date. When you enter you receive stamp according to entry date eg SETV 60 days.
  13. OP, your post makes zero sense. Certificate of residence is irrelevant. Which immigration office? When 50 you can enter Thailand visa exempt or tourist visa and apply for non O retirement OR obtain non O in own country. You need a Thai bank account in your name only
  14. Just a guess....on arrival and presenting eVisa with inappropriate boarding pass the stamp would be 30 day visa exempt and eVisa ignored.
  15. Confirm answer provided first reply.. Don't forget your reentry permit. Can obtain at your immigration office or international airport.
  16. Overkill. He requires 10 days. The 60 to visit wife requires more inconvenience. Standard 30 day extension ample
  17. OP, obtain 30 day extension. Require TM7, photo, TM30, basic copies of pp, 1900b
  18. Seems various immigration offices have moved towards requiring bank statements. This happened to me last extension at CW. I had couple of months with zero activity. They wanted me to provide 12 month bank statement. Fortunately Kasikorn could that on the spot. BBL cannot. Dial me up an agent!
  19. This question has come up previously. Not quite the same but not long ago a chap applied for SETV eVisa in UK. Approved on day he was leaving UK. Wanted to know if he could enter visa exempt and "save the eVisa" for a border bounce later.
  20. You can apply for extension up to 30 prior to expiry and 45 days at some bigger offices such as CW,CM etc. Your OP is not clear.
  21. Using funds in bank method you would require 400k in bank seasoned for 2 months prior to application and maintain that for the under consideration period. After that the funds can be used. Regards the "bank certificate" that is simply a statement from bank that you are the owner of the account. Best to obtain that on day of application (if possible) also make small transaction to show activity. Your bank book should be sufficient to show the seasoning of the funds.
