  1. Can't see why she would even bother with her Thai pp. With Oz pp she will receive 30 (or 45 after Oct 1) visa exempt stamp.
  2. After Oct 1 visa exempt entry is 45 days. Entry by air or land border. Forget the tourist visa. Each entry can obtain a 30 day extension. So eg ...enter by air visa exempt 45 days. Do one border bounce reenter visa exempt 45 days. Obtain one 30 day extension to either entry. All up 120 days. More if you want. Edit: just reread your OP. You are only looking for 90 days. Two visa exempt will cover that.
  3. My post was clear. Not many folk use and agent for extension and straight away start to meet the financials for the next extension. Either by transfers or money in the bank. Hence in vast majority of cases folk having used an agent will exit and reenter to start over.
  4. Simply rejection stamp and given 7 days to exit. Some folk use it to avoid overstay. TBH never seen one Hopefully someone might post picture of one.
  5. As you would know overstay 500baht per day and not something you want to rack if wanting elite visa in the future. In the main I suggested overstay as I do not know what happens if you cannot leave with the get out of dodge 7 days Not sure if it's a simple overstay after the 7 days. Remember the 7 days is not an extension. Expert can advise.
  6. Extensive history and fly out back in visa exempt.....not something I would be relaxed about. IMO obtain a tourist visa or border bounce. Obviously the second option best idea when visa exempt goes to 45 days. Krabi does not have the most simple border run options.
  7. Unusual. What service does an agent provide if using income method.
  8. With your history you would be fine. Few days out of Thailand would be a positive.
  9. Yes the "transition period" is 12 months as I have posted.
  10. Go back and read the OP. Not asking for advice regarding the use of agent. Stick to thread. I'm sure most folk are aware of agent option.
  11. Ok....not an option. I really hope the pp comes through within the 7 days. Another option I very rarely suggest is to go onto overstay and pay fine on departure. If you know the new pp is coming within 7 days then agree with your plan of obtaining the 7 day get out of dodge stamp.
  12. That is correct however when exactly is your new pp ready. You say soon? Is that definitive. Bit late now. I would have done border bounce.
  13. Any permission of stay can be protected by purchase of reentry permit. Multiple 3800 and single 1000. By all means obtain your non O-A. The non O with extentions and reentry permits achieves same result. Please report back what the cost of non O-A insurance is.
  14. Most folk that use an agent do not start transfers or place funds in bank for extension in 12 month time. To switch to doing it yourself he would need start over. New non O
  15. Because they choose not to. Believe it or not many folk here are not short of funds and opportunity cost on a miserable 800k in a Thai bank account means very little.
  16. Not all immigration offices accept combo method and clearly this is a once of for the OP due to renno. Combo method would be bad plan.
  17. Nothing wrong with that. I would suggest take out the whole 400k (after 3 months of obtaining the extension) and place into your daily banking account and replenish into "extension account) in one hit 2 month+ prior to next extension.
  18. The requirements for a 12 month extension based on retirement are clear. (it's not a requirement visa) If previously using an agent you would need to obtain a new non O and meet the financials.
  19. Different from when I did it (not recently) When I went to make new booking there was a onscreen message in Thai. The gf translate to " if continue your existing booking cancelled" Obviously I just pressed continue. In any event you would just be a no show for first appointment. Don't worry about it.
  20. Stating your particular immigration office will provide first hand replies
  21. My understanding is that if you proceed with new booking the previous one is cancelled. Re your next visit...I suggest you do nothing. There is a form (or was) where you tick the standard no boxes. You did the right thing by reschedule so good to go in 10 days.
  22. Obviously keep an amount above those rules. Sometimes the bank may take an small annual charge from account for card etc. Added tip: best to use dedicated bank account for immigration purposes.
  23. I use money in bank method for extensions based on retirement and deal with CW. Bank Book photocopies acceptable to show financial requirements have been met. Along with bank letter to show you are the owner of the account and balance on day letter issued.
  24. OP, seems you obtained a non O from tourist visa? That gives a 90 day stamp. It's not an extension. You cannot obtain a 30 day extension to the non O. You would need to do border bounce.
  25. What you described is correct. 800k for 2 months prior to application and maintained for 3 months after application then not below 400k at other times.
