  1. Just obtain the new passport. Be aware that waiting time for Oz pp has increased..... Explain to immigration office that your embassy does not provide "letter" .. No sure but think Oz place stamp in pp that requests/allows immigration to transfer stamps and any relevant visa information. Immigration also has their own "form"
  2. Some embassies provide letter and that's required. Some eg Oz do not provide letter.
  3. Your question is too open ended. Yes for items such as bank account an agent can organize that easily. Siam Legal is one company but there are many. Depends where you would be based in Thailand. As for staying in Thailand there are many options. The most important thing is length of desired stay.
  4. Check out this thread. Some say do nothing. The process does not seem difficult. Some wait till license renewal.
  5. What you outline would work. You mention holiday in Saigon. The Thai consulate there is helpful. You can drop passport in AM and pick up next day PM. This is to obtain a tourist visa and I think a better option.
  6. Enter visa exempt and obtain extension = 60 days. Border bounce and enter visa exempt and obtain extension= 60 days. All up approx 4 month stay. Note: only 2 visa exempt entries via land border per calendar year.
  7. From when you received the shot.
  8. Yes true for j & j. In that case 1 shot
  9. 2 shots. No clear indication of time I time interval from last shot.
  10. The OP entered visa exempt (incorrectly referred to as visa on arrival) For a 30 day extension why does marriage come into it.
  11. There is not requirement to transfer stamps within certain timeframe. They must be transfered prior to applying for your next 12 month extension. You can travel (including international) with both passports. Aside: Remember to update your bank with new pp details.
  12. Common practice is to provide your boarding pass. Surprised you experience is that not asked for. However many folk chuck their boarding pass so io don't insist.
  13. Simple process using an agent. You could come to Thailand on tourist visa. Have agent assist with open Bank account and then transfer 800k into the account. Obtain non O retirement here at Thai immigration and then subsequent 12 month extension. Renew your extension every year. Job done. Welcome to thailand.
  14. Forget the LTR and also non O-X. You are over 60. Place 800k in a Thai bank in your name only and obtain annual extensions each year. Simple quick process.
  15. No problem. You are actually extending your visa exempt entry TM7 form . 1900baht. Also few basic photocopies of passport. Apply couple of weeks prior to expiry of your 30 day stamp.
  16. All you are showing is fact your a poor traveller. I always have few pens. Not because I want to help people but so they don't hold me up at immigration upon arrival in Thailand. The number of dumb folk in front of me. If I don't see TM6 I ask if they have one along with pen. Also remind them that boarding pass is often required.
  17. And how long did the fill in take. 60 seconds.
  18. There have been few similar threads. I'm amazed. If the airline hands you a tm6 or they are handed out in immigration queue then fill it in. If the io accepts it and hands you back the departure section then take it. Job done. Who cares.
  19. Just another rubbish immigration office. There is normally only few photocopies required at most immigration offices. There is always idiot offices and officers.
  20. I was now aware that "persuade" involves paying sums of cash.
  21. No because an agent pays the immigration office and of course the client pays the agent. I have nothing against using an agent however this case is nothing like that.
  22. As I understand it CM requires 21 days remaining on your permission of stay to process application for extension. The 60 day extension would take you till approx 7th Oct. You won't be back till approx 7 Sept. However that gives you sufficient time to obtain extension.
