Can 90day be done in different province
DrJack54 replied to Eleftheros's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Do nothing. You state that your already late. Too much mucking about with change of address (twice). Skip it and when back in Bangkok file report in person. Fine 2000baht. Next time your travelling do the report via mail. I do it from Koh Samet to CW often. -

Open eyes. Your post had several likes along with 24 sad, funny and confused. My post criticizing that same post had 29 like and 6 thankyou. It's not a popularity contest but it's obvious many thought your post was strange. Hopefully your previous post and this one (my reply,) will be removed. Both off topic. -

start date for O-A 1 year visa
DrJack54 replied to HKexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Correct. Be aware that the extension granted will match your insurance expiry date. -
Depends what the OP actually requires. It's not clear.

What visa do you have? What type of extension are you after?

start date for O-A 1 year visa
DrJack54 replied to HKexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your visa is never extended. What your trying to say is that your permission of stay can be extended by attending immigration and applying for 12 month extension. That has financial requirements and health insurance requirement. -
start date for O-A 1 year visa

I never said your visa is extended. Every time you enter Thailand during the visa validity you will be stamped in for 12 months permission of stay. -

DrJack54 replied to HKexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When you enter Thailand your will be stamped in for 12 months. Your non O-A will have an expiry date. It's a multi entry visa. Every time you enter Thailand prior to the non O-A expiry you will be stamped in for 12 months. Clearly you can obtain up to 2 years stay in Thailand with this visa. The non O-A validity period starts from date of issue -
Random check by immigration

Sensible post. However again like many you have taken your eye off the ball. The topic was about random home visits for folk using marriage extensions. I would avoid them by using retirement extensions even if I was married. It goes without saying that police can come knocking for "other matters". Clearly if I was involved in example car accident etc then you would/might be required to be interviewed by police. Very different things. -

DrJack54 replied to Opossum's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The thread is about HOME VISITS for checking on varsity of marriage. That's it. Stick to the thread. I'm not married and do not use marriage extensions. = No home visit for the above mentioned reason. -
Woohoo. All of a sudden this OP is taking random trips throughout Europe in search of sand and sun. The OP is almost down to seat of his pants. He might get few years out of his one mil baht in Thailand, and then he will receive P off message. Obviously the Thai assets will be in partner's name. Heck he isn't even married.

What are you on about. This thread is about home visits. The OP is on marriage extensions and his immigration office did random home visit. I use retirement extensions. As for general laws such as road laws etc etc .....I follow them. What are you missing.. -

Well 10 years so far without a "home visit' I'm not on marriage extensions. Your posts are not making any sense. -

Many reports of requesting "petrol money" etc. In any event. Not the point. I personally refused to have a home visit As mentioned several times above, I'm on retirement extensions.. I don't accept a home visit and they are not required for retirement extensions.
