  1. And the winner is... Upnotover, as clear in this old thread. OP is married to male Thai national. https://aseannow.com/topic/1239881-yellow-book-questions/ OP are you birth mother of the Thai national child?
  2. OP, at a guess (your post is not detailed)... You are married to a non Thai and at some point entered Thailand on a non O (dependant on non Thai working husband) Assume you are now on annual extensions. Clarify your situation. Not sure but think @brewsterbudgen may have done something similar recently.
  3. OP, has problem solved and requested thread closed. Thread closed.
  4. Yes indeed. The 800k must be in Thai bank account and seasoned for two months is required for the 12 month extension. Explained in post above. Worth emphasizing that previously you could open a Thai bank account even with visa exempt entry. Did require things such as COR etc however was doable. Not now. Hence folk without a Thai bank account NEED to obtain the Non O eVisa out side of Thailand prior to entry.
  5. OP, BrandonJT has explained how the agents "cover" the financials. I suggest that if you plan to DIY ongoing then don't use an agent. My most recent extension (October) I changed from money in bank method to income method. That involves planning. For first extension use money in bank method. Very importantly you start the monthly transfers at the same time. This is because immigration will want a 12 month bank statement for your next extension showing 12 transfers. I did mine 14th of each month. 65k+ In effect you are running both money in bank requirements and income method in concert. If you use an agent for first extension then this change to DIY income method will not be possible.
  6. OP, the post above is correct and outlines your two options.
  7. Your posts are nonsense. "Starting over again " Refers to obtaining a NEW non O. That can be done outside of Thailand via eVisa platform or within Thailand from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry. Would use a TM87 or TM86 respectively.
  8. Yeah. I've read many threads re this. Even recall where teller told customer to withdraw all money ASAP using ATM. Some crazy advice. One option is to use income method. After many years on retirement extensions using 800k all read round, I now use income and as soon as funds (monthly) hit my account they transfed into my Thai partner account. Basically zero balance in my Thai bank account
  9. Don't like it at all. The Pattaya agent won't deal with Nonthaburi immigration. Just filing a TM30 upon return won't cut it. @BrandonJT has provided sound advice. At a guess immigration will say no. Plan B could be exit and obtain a Non O eVida while abroad. Messy but an option.
  10. That's his only chance. Not the plan he outlined. A flight ticket with a "storyline" might help. While Nonthaburi has become less horrible in recent times I don't think they will do it 50 days early. At CW where it's already 45 possible then he hopefully could do it 50 early
  11. Your posts I find spot on. Not sure about this one. Lot of misinformation about what happens upon death of account holder even if its a joint account. imo hearsay that access to account is unrestricted
  12. If located in Pattaya you use one of the excellent agents from Pattaya. Living at places such as CM, Phuket etc then Thai Visa Centre can assist via mail.
  13. Thanks for report. Helpful. Where do you plan on obtaining extension?
  14. Which immigration office refused Non O from visa exempt entry. Re the financials it is confusing (it's not you) The funds should only need to be in bank for application. I would play it safe and have a balance showing 400k as that amount will be required for subsequent 12 month extension. Those funds for extension need to be seasoned for 2 months. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only.
  15. I'm not sure if it was UK but were getting similar complaints re being approved in last days prior to flight. Very stressful. Your fall back option would be to enter Thailand visa exempt.
  16. It's a two step process. 1. You obtain a Non O in Thailand from your visa exempt or tourist visa entry. OR ... You obtain the Non O outside of Thailand using eVisa platform. 2. The Non O provides 90 day stamp. After the 400k has been in account for two months you can apply for the 12 month extension. Which immigration office?
  17. First up thanks for the update. I would have been extremely nervous. Unusual that he asked for onward ticket. BTW did airline at departure PP ask for onward flight. Actually the io sounded like he was trying to give sound helpful advice. Good you made it into Thailand without issue.
  18. Great advice. Also OP could consider using cell phone. Guessing there is outlook app available if required.
  19. I have some upcoming travel abroad. Was planning report via mail after return rather than in person to CW. Now will look at TVC option.
  20. When your immigration office gives you an under consideration period and return date I cannot recall an application being rejected. Some offices may ask to see if funds in bank were maintained during that period however again I have only read of a warning being given. However I put an edit on my first post that a check with immigration that wife can attend for final stamp on your behalf would be good idea.
  21. Just to be safe. Scratch out basic note that you want her to attend for stamp on your behalf.. She should also take here Thai ID
  22. You got off cheap. This guy paid 800b https://aseannow.com/topic/1331323-800-baht-for-a-residence-certificate-at-immigration/ L
