  1. I don't follow the OP... He states ....."Fortunately for me, I never go to immigration nowadays" if he uses an agent it would depend on type of extension he would be doing. TM30 of no use if extension not being done at immigration office where he lives. I don't understand the thread.
  2. It's pretty simple. If the OP cannot show the 400k he can opt for single entry non O and also obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. If over 50 he could obtain a non o based on retirement from a visa exempt entry and use agent for ongoing extensions. Lot depends on long term plan and period of stay each year in Thailand
  3. Let's start with CW. Do know what that office requires to satisfy income method.
  4. Perhaps you could provide suggestions for the OP to meet financial requirements.
  5. Read the posts above...I was actually replying to this post. "I think this is the only way unless one wishes to revert to getting a regular extension, but it's a very expensive option" To do ongoing annual extensions based on marriage the funds only need to be in bank for 2 months and can then be used (some offices also require under consideration period) If thats too difficult and he is over 50 he can opt for non O retirement with ongoing extensions using agent. BTW: He can only obtain ONE 60 day extension per single entry non O based on marriage.
  6. Can't meet that requirement then don't try and live in Thailand.
  7. Not best option I set up transfer in WISE. Aud to Thai baht. Wise does the exchange rate using mid market. I then transfer aud from.my Oz bank to WISE It lands not long afterwards
  8. US citizen your embassy does not provide "income letter " You require funds in bank
  9. Say what. He stated 400k for ongoing extensions based on marriage was expensive. Hardly expensive compared to other options.
  10. So how do you obtain extensions. If you dont have dealings with immigration then you don't need to consider TM30
  11. Don't follow. With annual extensions based on marriage the 400k only needs to be in bank for 2 months + under consideration period and then can be used to live off. Pretty sweet deal imo compared to extensions based on retirement.
  12. That is incorrect. Some immigration office insist on proof funds came from pension. Some immigration offices do not. Regarding pension at any age it could be a disability pension etc. The OP has disclosed little.
  13. April 4, I transferred 1.9 million Baht and it arrived same day using wise. Was asked zero questions apart from tick that it was being transferred into Thai bank in my name. Always have to tick that.
  14. Let's get the discussion away from the old chestnut "visa agents" The OP stated that he is considering that. Up to him what method to use. OP you stated earlier that you cannot show 65k per month. That's a concern. Also have not stated if you have a pension. Which country passport?
  15. OP, at some stage answer questions I asked in earlier post. Then folk can advise correctly. There is no retirement visa. You will be obtaining a Non O based on retirement. This provides a 90 day stamp then you obtain subsequent extensions. You can obtain a Non O from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry. Read this thread and the links https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/ You mention EU. At a guess your embassy will provide "income letter"(not UK) and you could use income method. Non O cost 2000b 12 month extension cost 1900b
  16. OP, when do you turn 50. How many days left on your tourist visa stamp Have you applied for 30 day extension yet? What country is your pp? Which immigration will you be dealing with? Do you have 800k ? Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only?
  17. Perfect. @Pattaya57 posted above his border bounce recently and impressive tour company. He can direct you to that thread. Thinking having agent border run is best option. From memory 3700baht. Edit: @pinkbob found border bounce thread from Pattaya to Cambodia.
  18. No. As soon as exit Thailand your current permission of stay ends. Yes leave it till almost expired. You don't even need to stay few days. You can reenter straight away. Where are you located in Thailand as that determines best border bounce. Also which passport
  19. No. However you could do a border bounce and reenter visa exempt with option of 30 day extension
  20. Thinking you have other options. For example you can fly direct from CM to places such as HCMC. The evisa for vietnam is simple process. $25usd. Spend few days there and fly back to CM for another 30 visa exempt entry. Thinking new rules visa exempt for Chinese nationals started March. Of course that 30 can be extended by 30. Maybe good option for mother.
