  1. I think they are going to implement a queuing / reservation function. Currently my dealer is giving out numbered queue cards and managing the process.
  2. I think if I can get 29,000 for a Seal Performance, I should be able to get better than 19,000 for an MG4
  3. Toyota missed the boat because of their CEO at the time Akio Toyoda (now Chairman) who was violently opposed to EV's. Whilst it's true to say they invested very early on, they also invested very early on in every technology including Ammonia. Only this year Akio Toyoda said EV's would never achieve more than 30% new vehicle market share. In China last month it reached 55%. There are reports indicating that Japanese automakers, particularly Toyota, have been involved in spreading disinformation about electric vehicles (EVs). A report by InfluenceMap highlights that many major car companies, including those from Japan, are actively working against the transition to EVs. The report specifically mentions that Japanese automakers are among the most active in lobbying against stringent climate policies and promoting hybrid vehicles over fully electric ones. Additionally, there have been instances where Toyota has been accused of spreading anti-EV propaganda within Japan, including distributing materials that favor hybrids and downplay the benefits of EVs. The InfluenceMap report is behind a registration wall, it is entitled Automakers and Climate Policy Advocacy: A Global Analysis How automaker lobbying threatens the global transition to electric vehicles Nearly all major car companies are sabotaging EV transition, and Japan is worst, study finds (thedriven.io) How Toyota sneakily spreads anti-EV propaganda in Japan | Electrek How Japan's Auto Industry Became Two Factions To Survive The EV War (insideevs.com)
  4. There are over 300 Toyota Mirai drivers in California suing Toyota for misinformation about their cars and network. They want their money back. HFCEV trials have failed in every country. Tried it in Norway, it failed. Tried in California, it failed. Tried it in the UK, it failed Nobody wants expensive to run HFCEV's.
  5. There are class action lawsuits everywhere Hydrogen has been trialed for passenger cars. One of the biggest problems is at the filling station, each pump can only carry enough hydrogen for about 50 cars. The UK, Norway & the USA are shutting sown most of their hydrogen fuel stations. Japan can't be trusted, they left EV too late and are now just spreading disinformation. I believe we may see hydrogen vehicles, long distance haulage and if there is a lithium shortage possibly a two-tier strategy with hydrogen cars. Expensive EV's that are cheap to run Cheap HFCEV's that are expensive to run I think we will also see cheap city EV cars with shorter range and Sodium batteries.
  6. There is NOT a growing shift towards hydrogen fuel cells, there is a growing shift AWAY from hydrogen fuel cells. Tried it in Norway, it failed. Tried in California, it failed. Tried it in the UK, it failed.
  7. Incidentally, I got a renewal through for my daughters MG4 from Roojai, we’ve had no claims and it’s more than doubled to over ฿19,000 with no battery cover. We won’t be going with Roojai again.
  8. I hope they add a reservation function.
  9. When you marry or date long term you take on all the commitments of the biological father. If you’re not happy with that, walk-away. Don’t take a Thai mother away from her child. And if the relationship breaks down, that’s tough because you don’t show a child a better life and walk away when it suits you. It’s a life-long commitment.
  10. Sorry about that it’s on Facebook as Eight Nine co ltd
  11. You will find a few vendors in the Arrivals Hall or otherwise go to any &/11, your passport will do for ID, they may want an address, I'm not sure about that.
  12. I don't see what difference WISE makes? In my case, money goes into one of my UK bank accounts and I use WISE to send it to my daughters accounts. I could just as easily do that with (say) HSBC direct to their accounts. It's exactly the same thing.
  13. Your 7/11 is on a busy road with all parking taken up by food vendors, the 7/11 has 5 parking spots, one of those 5 is Mother & Child and another is Handicapped. If the 3 normal spots are full, do you use the Mother & Child? If 4 spots are full do you use the Handicap spot? I know the answer because I asked the manager, but I'm interested in what you would do.
  14. 89 Beef on facebook sell Argentinian Hanger Steak (aka Onglet/Butcher's Cut) for 375 baht per kilo. I use it for everything I would use flank or chuck for, and it's also quite nice as a steak if you don't overcook it. Free delivery if you buy a few kilos.
  15. I was quoted ฿29,000 for a 67-year-old male with no claims ever and first class insurance on a BYD SEAL performance with Viriyah
  16. Returning Burmese people to Myanmar just risks than being conscripted and then becoming part of the problem. No assistance should be given to the Tatmadaw, they are nothing more than an organized mafia.
  17. You missed one of the classifications, and that is a moral obligation to give the gift. The OP obviously has a moral obligation to give the gift..
  18. I am a single parent of two adopted Thai daughters. They have their own bank accounts and I transfer money from the UK to them to fund university education, living expenses, car, expenses, clothing, and basically everything else they need including food. The amount I send is carefully calculated and sent on 1 January each year. They want to do work and travel next March And I have just transferred the funds from the UK to them to do that. My advice to you, is to get the girlfriend’s daughter to open a bank account which can be done from the age of seven with GSB, carefully calculate the amount of money needed and send it direct to her and make sure all the expenses are paid from that account and that none of it ever goes to your girlfriend or into her account.
  19. He was on a roll until this happened, he's in hospital being depressed
  20. You might find this article interesting. It talks about many new models expected in the next 6 years, it's not specifically about EV's but it does appear most of these new models will be EV's. Future cars worth waiting for: 2025-2030 (msn.com) It's fairly clear, EV is going to win the ICE/H2/EV race.
  21. It doesn't need an exhaust leak, just snow building up around the car and behind the exhaust pipe will do it.
  22. That sort of things happen in snow storms when people keep their engine running to keep warm.
  23. A simple graphic about why we won't be buying Hydrogen passenger vehicles. Overly complex and inefficient process.
