Sworn testimony is evidence. Especially when it’s corroborated by other sworn testimony.

That’s why the criminal Justice system uses investigative processes and why courts see evidence and sworn testimony. As you yourself demonstrate, it’s too easy to confuse people with news and social media reports. Evidence and sworn testimony is the way to go.

When you get to court you will be placed under oath, you must tell the truth, not telling the truth under oath is something we call ‘perjury’, which is also a crime.
