  1. Just a hypothetical question. Would you rather pay 12 K baht taxes or spend 12K baht on ATM fees from home country bank?
  2. Millions of ATM transactions yearly in Thailand. To assume they have the ability to figure out which are from residents and track those residents for tax purposes is extremely far fetched. The foreigner and Thai tax experts will have a feeding frenzy on the gullible foreigners.
  3. In the past common sense was used in day to day living. Now, a law is needed for every aspect of modern life.
  4. Biden is a great planner. As was apparent in the Afghanistan withdrawal.
  5. My limit is 4 small beers. I'm a day drinker and a night toker. Wake up fresh at 0530 everyday.
  6. You don't use a bottle opener for beer bottles.
  7. I would think maybe the rules will change so the one being given a gun will triple check the ammo as part of their responsibility.
  8. You're so out of touch with the American folks. Folks care about the basics of life. The democrats have failed.
  9. It's hard to shake foods you grew up with. I still remember the warm homemade bread with butter, cheese, cold cuts and Italian Salad which is peas and diced boiled carrots with mayo and seasoning. Oh and cold red cabbage. So for me I make do with toast butter and cheese.
  10. I asked my lady here in Thailand if LBs could compete with females in sports? She said no. Thought that was silly. Common sense prevails.
  11. This right here is one reason Trump will win. People are sick of the bs from a tiny minority the democrats cater to.
  12. My main objective for keeping my US RE is for the kids and it pays a bit of money but not much after repairs, taxes and insurance. It also gives me a foothold in the country I consider my home.
  13. Whoever said there's no Biden Cult is surely mistaken.
  14. Actually, this is a good thread that can create some useful discussions. Those guys who sold everything and left the USA for Thailand in all probabilities can't ever afford to return to their place of home. I made a home here in Thailand before retirement complete with homes and a kid. All the while maintaining and renting out properties in Ca. There are things I miss about home like camping at the reservoir with a sailboat. Projects I never completed, so many places I never visited in the US even though I traveled the world for many years. I maintain my driver's license and car sitting in my garage back home. Just because it makes me feel good. I don't think I could completely cut the US loose.
