  1. Shopping today at 7/11. Buying yoghurt. A placard on the shelf implores me to buy a 4-pack, to save money. 60 baht. Right next to the 4-pack, there are single tubs of yoghurt, regular price 15 baht. But wait, there's more. The single tubs of yoghurt are on special, 27 baht for two. SMH.
  2. Oh , come on. A person with the concentration span of a goldfish can't handle homework.
  3. You may be right, it depends on location. IME traffic lights in CM and CR are usually respected by drivers. They may cross after a pedestrian has walked through. Bangkok? I can't wait to get out of there.
  4. When I waste my time reading findings posted by the anti-vax crew, I invariably find: (a) They are unqualified to comment on the material. (b) It is published in a pseudo-scientific journal I have never heard of. (c) None of it is peer-reviewed by an independent panel. (d) The data is cherry-picked to suit purpose. I feel I have wasted my time again in explaining this to you.
  5. Have any drinks straight out of a can or bottle. Mixed drinks can be lethal, as Laos backpackers found out recently. SIM cards are available at most airports. Taxi services from airports have fixed prices at their airport offices. Transport between Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang is free, aircon bus. Just show ongoing ticket to other destinations. Only take transport that has three or four wheels. Do not rent a scooter. Always ask the price of any taxi, baht bus or tuk-tuk before getting in. Do not eat street food that is not cooked in front of you. Pedestrian crossings should only be trusted when they have traffic lights. Forget the high heels, Thai pavements can be quite uneven. Comfortable sneakers. Do not flash large amounts of cash. Dress conservatively when visiting temples.
  6. It depends on the type of cancer the OP has. Surgery is most successful with solid tumors which have not metastasized. Immunotherapy has an very good survival record against cancers which do respond to it, but it does not work for everyone or every cancer. As another poster has noted, immunotherapy is expensive. A course of targeted inhibitor medication, which cost me $100 in Australia, would have cost $70,000 in America. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy have the most side effects.
  7. Quote: “Hopefully they don’t get some new slick talker to con them into the same old bull**it". I suppose if it's a 78 yo slick talker, it's OK.
  8. It does not impress me, no. However, it is an indicator of Thai pride in their country. Silly me, I thought that was the topic of the thread.
  9. IIRC a Stanford study showed MAGAS were 3-4 points lower than the average IQ in America. How about you publish the study that says Democrats are 2-5 points lower, or is that just one of your BS claims?
  10. Another thread by people who never got past high school, their knowledge is so superior to the virologists, immunologists and epidemiologists who have years of training and experience. There's even a fruitcake who denies the existence of viruses. In my case, the only side-effect of mRNA vaccines I am aware of is no tolerance of anti-vaxxer idiots.
  11. Does the OP have a tax ID number? Is that visible on the form? I would have thought without a tax ID, the TRD can't find you?
  12. Like the US, they have sent their redundant and obsolete military equipment to Ukraine. You have a link that proves they sent everything to Ukraine? Germany has 340 Leopard tanks. It has sent 14 to Ukraine. In other words, your post is BS.
  13. Wrong. I didn't have to search for it, just as I don't have to search for words like ecdysiast or hermeneutics. It comes from reading way outside your comic book range. I don't have to search for the word imbecile either.
  14. Try showing the advances Russia has made from an independent source, rather than spouting Russian propaganda. If Russia has so many troops, why does it need North Koreans?
  15. The words I use come from a good education and extensive reading, I don't need Google for any of them. Vidkun Quisling was a Norwegian who collaborated with Nazi Germany. His name became a byword for treason. He was executed by firing squad in 1945. Perhaps if you spent more time reading history, and less time posting ad hominem......
  16. Benedict Arnold and the British, Trump and Russia. History repeats itself.
  17. It's a stalemate. The Russians are making slow headway in ground gained, at the cost of a ruined economy. 86 Russian men to 100 Russian women means the Russian demographic is collapsing. Russia will win if Trump stabs Ukraine in the back.
  18. I pay electric and water bills the day I get them. Same with annual condo fees. Phone is topped up every time I get below 100 baht credit. Some people run bills until the due date, or overdue. My philosophy is simple. If I pay up immediately, I can forget about whatever bill it is.
  19. My son gets them all, I don't go into technicalities with him. He puts them on a 2 TB thumb drive, and posts them to me. Waiting on Reacher series 3 to complete. Watching Tulsa King.
  20. IMO you might be looking for the word quisling. There's a few on this thread.
  21. Rollmops. I suppose they are quite healthy, with a combination of protein and acetic acid, plus omega 3.
  22. Did you lose some money on the shares?
  23. Vegemite is an acquired taste, like the Dutch with their raw herring and chopped onion, or Brits with cold pork pies. Americans usually react to it as if they have been poisoned.
  24. The last time I owed any money was 1974.
