I just got it today. I don't know if it is really 5G but the Huawei router has 2.4G service for when you are using and standing pretty far away.....the other is 5G service for use in the house. I haven't seen any differences with 4G except maybe it is a bit quicker.
I don't think I would have changed as my use on the computer is limited but I my last service provider really was hopeless. I have just come of having a 10 day spell with no service except using my phone as a hot spot. The outages with the previous provider were unacceptable long, frequent and there was zero response from the service crew....just twaddle about the network being maintained etc.

Not being clairvoyant, I think we have to say we do not know whether the excuses of having no money and no water are true or not. But if they are true, this is the real face of poverty.....and it is very unpleasant God forbid it should happen to one of us on TV.

I think the government played a blinder in closing the borders but it came eight a heavy price tag ie the loss of the international tourist trade.
14 day quarantine is incompatible with international tourism....there is no strategy with allows you to have strong international tourism and 14 day expensive quarantine. Thailand now has a dilemma.....it has to either wait until the infection rate comes down to the Thai level in the countries where the tourists come from which may take 2 months or 12 years. The other alternative is to open the borders asap, let tourists come and to accept a very high rate of infections here in Thailand, i.e. throwing away the good work done already and since the population is almost 100% covid-19 naive and infection will run riot here....this might lead to a huge decline in tourist numbers as well, if Thailand gets a name for being a covid hotspot.
Now not to mention the fact that Chinese are 40% of Thailand's tourists and many people suspect them of not being honest about the COVID numbers. India already looks like it will end up with the prize for the highest numbers of infected.....so two large tourist customer groups are likely to have or cause problems.
It doesn't look good and if 82% are confident....then I think 82% haven't looked at the problem deeply enough.

You know the US are totally out of court when onto the Dominic Republic takes and notice of what they say....and the UK doesn't used its slave position to vote for the US. Now the ultimate hypocrisy from the US saying they are still involved in JCPOA having torn up the treaty in 2017 and will use their position as a party to JCPOA to snap back sanctions. Irrespective of this, China and the US will sell arms to Iran, including hi-tech S400s and the like.
I would observe that the US is over using sanctions. It will make them much less effective and as it is now seen that they are simply using sanctions to pursue vendettas, people will ignore them. The recent deal sell massive amounts of Iranian oil and gas via a new pipeline to the Chinese, not using dollars in the transaction, shows

It's actually very, very important. Your apathy is doing nothing at all to help make Thailand's justice system any better.

I respectfully disagree. Thailand moved quickly to close the borders. When you eradicate the virus internally, then the only infections come from outside. You can see where the infections are coming easily....15 returning from India. If people were contracting coronavirus within Thailand you would know about it....where are the mass graves? Where are the refrigerated temporary morgues? They don't exist because COVID is not being transmitted within Thailand. This poses a huge problem for the authorities....at the moment the population of Thailand are safe from COVID....but once they open the borders without quarantine the virus will run riot here as there is no immunity. Thailand can only safely open up when other countries have stopped the virus within their borders.

I would suggest you to try growing some coconut trees. We have six and they produce more fruit than we know what to do with.

This is also why they are the ones who have been making discoveries and collecting Nobel prizes for decades, if not centuries, while populations more inclined to follow the rules are also often better at copying than at creating.
Thinking for oneself and questioning everything is much better than blindly following rules just because they come from some authority.
Countless atrocities have been comitted by people just able to obey orders.
Countless atrocities have also been committed by countries with individualistic cultures.

I do wish these <deleted> fools has not closed down tiger temple in Kanchanburi. All this animals are now dead after having been taken into care by the government. Idiocy, absolutely idiocy.

Seems that they need a distraction from the Boss saga. No Boss news in this email.....but we have Billy for people to rail against injustice. Have newspapers been asked to cut back on Boss news?

A great example of evolution. Here is a motorcycle man living life to full on farangs who use him and like an animal's prey keeps him alive. Now coronavirus has altered his environment and habitat and the faring that was his 'prey' and kept him alive has disappeared suddenly. He has to change or evolve or die off. So he can move (probably not feasible), change to driving a taxi perhaps or get a job driving a bus or truck (if he has the right licences) or move into another field that doesn't require farangs like temple building.

Looks like this guy didn't want to appear at his summons and have to lie to protect higher ups. Or maybe he didn't want to be the scape goat....but he has virtually assumed himself of scapegoat status, with this move. Perhaps they may check mate him by refusing to accept his resignation. A sad state of affairs. A look at his bank accounts might be useful.

Who can tell what lies, filth and smears this poor lady will have to endure from the lying machine that is Trump and his coterie.
I must admit I was neutral about her because I didn't know much about her. In the primaries I liked Tulsi Gabbard, she would have been an advocate to avoid war. Best pick would have been Michelle Obama but presumably she didn't want it.
My last pick would have been Diane Abbot from Britain's Labour Party.....just joking.

Again????? This is the second one Nate has missed. Looks extremely suspicious. I wonder if my next door neighbour simply didn't;t turn up when authorities wanted to questions him. There are certainly different rules for Boss and Nate with regard to summonses. Sickening.

I have been here for over 10 years now. There is not any noticeable difference in English ability. I would question why we need these "teachers" most of whom are not qualified to teach in their own countries.I have met native English speakers from Kenya, Phillippines, Poland, Germany.....very few teaching qualifications, at best a TEFL.

Is this a new 'thing' for young tourists? Getting starkers at holy sites to irritate the locals? We need some tolerance on both sides.

If I were you, I would get myself born to hi-so parents, like Boss did.

Do you have a source for a picture of the bike?
You overlook the fact that the motorbike was moving in the same directions as the car.
There is a big difference between hitting a stationary vehicle and one that is moving in the same direction.
I remember when I was a school kid, one day on my way to school while riding in group, a car hit me on the rear wheel of my bicycle.
All it did was give me an acceleration and a bend of the rear fender. I didn't even fall
Also added to this, presumably Boss if he was awake would hit the brakes at the last minute, and unless he had a case of brake failure would have slowed the speed at impact. Personally I don't believe any of these expert witnesses.....they get paid to bias the outcome.

Thanks all for the replies and suggestions. Her current flight is booked for the 22nd of August, but it has been cancelled and we must change it to another day, but have no guarantee that any new flight will fly as scheduled.
The problem at the embassy is hundreds of people every day and a lack of information (according to my partner). We have over our long relationship had numerous problems with the embassy in Tokyo (we live partly in Tokyo and partly in Thailand). They seem to cut from the same cloth as our good folks in the land office and amper.

I just got 5G yesterday. The 'bits' are from Huawei. Of course I don't know whether I actually have 5G because the router seems to provide two wifis viz 2.4G and 5G. They are both super fast and more than enough for my limited usage.
