I think there might be an objective reason for this anomaly. When people look at themselves in the mirror, they instinctively adjust their posture to their best angle. What enrages me about Trump's tariff ideology is its dishonesty and cherry-picking. Take Europe. Europe is being "badly treated" by the US, not the reverse. You mean I do understand how jurisprudence works in the UK. A male person is presumed guilty as per the court of the lynching circuit (public opinion).
