  1. Difficult to believe he would leave his life of luxury and return to live in a Thai jail for 12 years. Sure he misses Thai food etc., but why would he give up his life of luxury? Wants to be with / play with his grandchildren. He can't do that if he's in jail. And they will all be late teenagers or older when he gets out, and there's cases not yet heard so the length of time he's locked up locked up could be even longer. Why would he give up his life of luxury and his family regularly visiting his abroad? Or is he broke, can't afford the rent in Dubai any more? Or is he under pressure from the Dubai leaders to move out? Strange...
  2. Sure, heard many stories over many years. An old buddy shared (some years back) he sent one of his new high performance staff (21 yo) to help with a project in China for 4 weeks. New guy had never before stayed outside of his family house in Sydney / never been abroad and never stayed in any hotel anywhere. The consultant had only worked for him for 3 days, so his work performance nor behaviorys and attitudes not yet known, so quite risky to send him abroad so quickly. Hotel in Shanghai called his company in sydney to inform them there would be a big bill for damage to the room (5 star hotel) which they required to be settled immediately and they had in fact successfuly charged the fully amount to his credit card. Turned out the new boy decided he didn't like the placing or style of the furniture, so he rearranged the furniture, ripped legs off one table, threw sheets, quilts, pillows, cups, kettle etc., into the laundry / rubbish chute. Then had requested new furniture etc., that he liked. He was replaced quickly and sacked as soon as back in Sydney. His response "But my dad told me it's my right to make myself comfortable."
  3. Yep, sad but true. Relative had a similar situation, they found the location of the girl (26 yo - never paid anything to use the room), they insisted she come to the room and they confronted her. They asked her "Why didn't you do any clean up?" And the smell was aparently horrific. Her response 'You're not fair, I'm busy, I don't have time for cleaning, I want to spend time with my friends".
  4. I don't disagree with most of your your comments. Except your comment "I know the rules and that they are changing senators. Why do you think you are the only one with that knowledge?" Your words are just rude. I didn't in any way suggest that I was/am the onlyt person with the knowledge about changing the senators. In facts I only learned yesterday about the different (and welcome) method/law to replace the senate. And I wanted to share that detail quickly because I was thinking it was not widely known. Slow down...
  5. As I thought, could be one or several of the the above items, possibly/probably at many 'Wellness' venues there's no qualifications, and the the products used not licensed / poor quality, and unknown names. Wellness not on my bucket list.
  6. Family... But my question si 'what does WELLNESS mean?' Is it something specific?
  7. It's explained earlier in this thead: -Current lot automatically finish May 2024 -Next set of senators comes from: secret nominations / secret vote to get elected -Next set of senators have NO vote at all in terms of selecting the PM. The link to the whole act of parliament (re the above) is on this thread 2 days ago.
  8. Plus the X logo doesn't stand out, doesn't present as an individual/stand alone identifier, The blue bird did. Strange man.
  9. Go to the labour dept., HO at Din Daeng, the service department on the ground floor. They are good listeners, plenty of English if needed, they don't bite, they've helped a lot of people, Thai and farang.
  10. So where is the petition, I want to sign.
  11. My worst experience with TG was flying Business class with my 18 year old son Bkk to Jakarta evening flight. 30 minutes after evening meal all finished and all packed away my son politely quietly asked the hostess for a glass of Coka Cola. Her response: didn't stop walking, just yellled back at him "Go and ask in Economy class". No apology or concern by anybody on board or 2 days later at their office at a meeting. My company did around 30 to 50 regional flights a month with TG. I told my staff to cancel the travel contract we had with TG and take a contract with Singapore Airlines. Never any reaction from TG.
  12. Yes, that would work well! Stupid comment - a recipe for chaos and sily/severe argument, and expecting the cabin crew to resolve which is totally unfair to the cabin crew. Customers can't just take things off the shelf in a shop and not pay. You want a product or service you pay for it.
  13. "Then a new group of Senators comes in, which will appointed by a more grassroots process." Interesting. Where did that statement come from? Link?
  14. Seems to me that musk is a nightmare and we ain't seen the end of his silly illogical acts/comments. As said the bird brand logo had enoumouse brand value, why touch it.
  15. If he (or she) is not hurting or threatening you then not your call.
  16. rule 3 is for Thai women, stay away from farang, they flit from girl to girl.
  17. ... a country of wonders? Is your counry a country of wonders? Or perhaps micacles?
  18. Sure. And how did this thread suddenly jump from -'left his bag in the departure lounge' to -'might ty to open a door in flight' ?
  19. I believe they do, it's all about the glory of the military, very powerful stuff. However if some of their responsibilities/their powers, e.g, voting for PM were stopped that would be very valuable to get back to some sembance of democracy and respect for the votes of all citizens.
  20. I've arranged an informal cheap lunch with an also retired friend. I guess it's allowed for that to proceed?
