Jordanian Arrested in Patong for Working Illegally as a Barber
scorecard replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Why do you say that? Is it OK for anybody to walk into your country and start work? -
Maybe there's a facility to do a self update of address on the BBL site. Many banks outside of LOS do that now. Just update the address yourself and then print. On the other hand you say you have a BBL bank account, worth calling the bank call centre and ask for their help to achieve what you need. If you also have a K Bank account their call center is much more customer friendly and helpful.

Worst / silliest restaurant plaque in my book is the one nailed up in many Thai restaurants from the BAngkok Metro. Admin. (Bangkok ciy council), claiming, amongst a couple of items: - "GOOD TASTE" Seems to me good / bad tatste is individual and not something decided by the local council. -

Is this in regard to the Kplus app? I use Kplus very often. So far no extra messages at all from K Bank. -
OK so PT now has the chance to hold the PM chair. I hope and I pray that they will sooner rather than later take serious action to change the current appointed to an elected senate. Won't be easy but I suspect they will try. Lets' hope.

Nice thoughts, however I don't agree at all. The way this are right now is what the military and it's glorious leaders want. The military has been 'in charge', 'the rulers' for hundreds of years and they see that they are the rightful leaders today and they will ensure it stays that way. Prayut is just a continuation of that history and he and his military cronies / military lawyers saw some cracks developing so they changed the constitution to ensure the senate was appointed an those appointed were mostly serious senior military who are examples of the glorious military who must be seriously respected and obeyed. I would hope this all changes very soon so that my gran children grow up in a political system which respects democratic principles and the military does as it's told by the citizens of the country. But as othere have written I have great concern that it's not going to change without blood shed. I hope not.

Your attempt at humour not so good. The reality is that the US army sprayed it to do severe dameage to the communist forces but it severly affected every person who came in contact with it: - Vietcong - Nth Vietnam army - Nth VN civilians - US and other forces who saw combat later in the same areas. -
Pita’s parting shot: Thailand has changed since election
scorecard replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
And I suspect the events of today andthe last few days will make them evern more determined to demand / go for the total change. Also, if they weren't fully ealizing the senators roadblcoka and the level of dofficulty to change the constitution they now are and they will react. Further, as per the old saying 'there'smoe than one way to skin a cat. And amongst the youngsters there's plenty of young and very clever lawyers who given som time will create some unseen / very clever strategies. Good luck to them!!! -
Pita’s parting shot: Thailand has changed since election

Just wondering if a serious protest very soon by an angry big mob will turn to violence and make the military look less than crebible, less than honest, less than intelligent and less than able to operate in the expected values and morals of 2023. And make Thailand look, again, like a military / police state, with the blood of civilians who are entitled to work towards proper democracy on their hands. Would that be enough to gain cancellation of the constitution item / the laws which require senators to be appointed by a gang of thugs? -

But would that cancel the constitution item and the laws saying that senators must be in place by appointment and not mentioning anything about being elected? -

Not funny. Thousands of service men & women and even much bigger numbers of Vietnamese still seeing/suffering the horrific effects of agent orange. A couple of years back an announcement of a new joint inquiry to be *conducted by the US and Australia, along with a suggestion if AO found to be dangerous then a massive one time compensation payment to every serviceman who served in VN and suffered very severe COPD lung damage /massive lung scaring which cannot be repaired or reduced. Ex servicemen/women with this condition regularly get very severe recurring bronchitis like condition which is extemely painful (I know I get it, it's like someone grabbing a large section of flesh and what's under the flesh and squeezing very hard and holding on for several minutes and generating very severe pain which lasts for hours at a time. Never saw any further comment/announcements. AO is not a joke. *Previous investigations could not find proof that AO caused any real problems. Why, because th US didn't want to pay out massive compensations to several hundred thousand service folks who served in VN. Australia went the same path. -

Prawit's Enigmatic Response to Possible PM Race
scorecard replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Sure but the reality is that prawit & prayut and the military senators live in their own 'world' and have no interest in what the rest of Thailand thinks. In fact many of them would think that the civilians should just do as they are told and not be involved in such discussions. -
Yes, but changing the constitution/laws from appointing senators to electing senators is very very difficult, and the current powers (still in place) won't relinquish these powers easily. Some will say, why can't the senators be voted out? But there is no voting involved, they are all appointed by a force which is, unfortunately, imovable, and which believes the military has a right to control the country. I don't like to say this but I'm more and more fearing that severe violence and blood shed will eventually be the 'force' that is needed to gain change. Hope notof course.

Irks me such people (M / F / any country) want to be idolized. And of course they aim for teenagers lacking in common sense. Who cares. Let them all get proper jobs and earn a living. -
Seems to me, to put it in plain English he has signed to be her guarantor. And if she defaults on payments he's responsible to pay up. OK she works for CP and they help staff to get loans (maybe) and help to make payments easy by deducting money from salary and sending it to the person/institution who granted the loan. That absolutely clearly DOESN'T mean CP is the guarantor for the loan. Why would CP ever put their company into such a situation? They wouldn't

I don't see it like that. A few months ago my son was with some old friends, I know all of them, all very balanced and intelligent people. They all speak good English. They were watching the late night news on TV. There was a segment on the jail bird and his curent activities as an 'advisor' to the PM. One of sons buddies looked at me and said 'he is a very bad man', another said 'yes, bad and dangerous', another said 'and powerful and he's been in serious violence before'. I asked 'do any Thai people thinke he's a good man?' Instant response a loud NO from all present.
