  1. Good news, I was meaning going home from the airport. But of course there's the 'option' of going up to the departures level and easily/quickly grabing a taxi delivering a departures customer.
  2. But what about taxis on arrival at DM? Still the very long wait to get a taxi?
  3. Life ain't easy, but no longer sleazy.
  4. Yes, I'm approahing 79 years old. After posting I often realize I've made spelling/grammar etc., even though I thought I had checked carefully. my apologies.
  5. My BEST experience with this subject was booking a flight on Singapore airlines (special repatriation flight) in the middle of Covid- 19, from Sydney to S'pore and thru to Swampy. I called S'pre airlines and was quickly transfered to a booking office in Singapore. She explained quickly that it was a free internet based call. She asked several questions then said 'you are eligible to take this flight and it was heavily discounted. Pleasany lady asked if I had more questions. No. She then mentined that the flgight had to be be booked by phone, and she asked If I wanted to go ahead and make / pay for the booking. She also mentioned there woudld be a Sing$10- tel. booking fee. I asked if payment by credit card was Ok and what CC charges would be added. She replied no extra charges for cc payment. It took some time to get the booking completed and add speical arrangements for my wheelchair situation. I was quite happy with the Sing$10 booking fee. One minute after the call I got the e.mail booking confirmation and 10 minutes later a Sing. airlines supervisor called me and said 'Have you has time to real all the details in your booking because it's a bit complex? I responded 'yes, all correct' As always with Singapore Airlines, great service and the flight was also great and great food. What also impressed me was half way Sydney to S'pore the hostes asked me If I would like to take a slow assisted walk around the aircraft to get my legs active etc. I did, what service.
  6. Often called 'funeral insurance', very common in rural villages.
  7. off topic, the thread is about an aircraft just taxiing for take off but the passenger left some belongings in the departure area waiting lounge and wanted the aircraft to go back to the terminal so he could get his forgotten belongings. There's no mention of a passenger opening a door in flight.
  8. Never hear of C J More.
  9. My point is that a hostess isn't the 'driver' of the aircraft. She would tell the pilot 'there's an issue' and the pilot would decide to stop taxiing the aircraft to the runway for take off. As above, the hostess has no controls (no brake) to apply to stop the aircraft. The reporter would know this but wrote the story as if the stewardess halted the aircraft. Can't be true.
  10. Family mart global brand is owned by a Japanese conglomerate, CP holds the master franchise for Thailand.
  11. If you're a billionaire and have no concern about obviously being ripped off on a massive scale.
  12. Many US Americans also don't have access to sophisticated scans, assessments, facilities, monitoring etc., because the costs are totally prohibitive.
  13. Yep, seen this with patients at the big 5 star hospital off Suk. Rd. Often very loud and very demanding. And often have no respect whatever for hospital staff (especially female staff) or other patients.
  14. How can tops make such statement. They can override the laws of Thailand?
  15. So you are confirming they will sell alcohol between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Are you authorised to make such statement?
  16. "This Arabian passenger forgot his bag at the airport and forced a flight attendant to stop the plane for him when the plane was about to take off. ... How can he 'force' the flight attendant to stop the flight? This news site often prints words/ phrases etc., which are far off correct / appropriate English for the situation at hand. Another reason why I don't / I never believe anything in any form of news from any country.
  17. Yes, breathtaking that this was ever allowed to become an item in the constitution / a law. Moving forward, it's also now becoming well understand by the younger folks as to it's generic meaning and the way it locks Thailand into a military dominated / controlled government. My uni students talk about it a lot and they are angry that the law exists and they are angry with themselves / their society for allowing it to happen. What seems to also be developing is a strong following of the several well qualified and experienced lawyers in the steeing committee of the move forward. Along with some expectation that the clever young lawyers will eventually find a way get this item cancelled. Let's hope soon.
  18. Why the 'confused' emoji? My post is not confusing, it's a summation / description of real actual life. If you're confused by my post please ask a question.
  19. Sure and that way they can avoid the need for disrespectful abortion laws.
  20. In fact welfare services in many/most countries will say that incest is very very common and rampant, much more so that the populace realizes. Saw this at a school hols job in Oz. Older boy (18 yo, big strong boy) revealed himself regularly to other men in the factory, he thought is was funny because nudity and revealing and all playing/fondling each other (father, mother, my work colleague, his brothers and sisters) was an every day event enjoyed by all. At one point my work colleague revealed he and his elder brother were preparing the youngest brother (13) for their dad to penetrate first time while the whole family watched. My work colleague told me about all of this regularly, he had grown up with it, he tought every family had the same activities.
  21. Is that their woke claim? (To be honest I don't really understand the meaning of woke.)
  22. Hope settha has no baggage.
  23. Sure but if you/I really think about it there's things in our home countries too that are less than fair/ethical.
  24. Naah, food court.
  25. True, I suspect that the regulations in place will mean the senators must be appointed, but by who? Would be nice to get clarity on this point.
