  1. A better and more practical move; do what the Thais do, only put a crash hat on when you're going to have a accident.
  2. And it worked, but I used a slim wooden toothpick, and a clump of rubbish came out. All fixed and thanks.
  3. And .... was the specific offence stated? And ... Is the fine imposed mentioned in any laws/official punishments? Or ... make it up as you go ... ?
  4. How does the media know whether the child has suffered any ill effects? Not the point anyway, should be charged with assault.
  5. Somewhere is all this is the classic 'you think too much', which is a seen as a joke but it does have roots, plus 'you don't need to think, your superiors should do all the thinking'. All leading to 'just do as your told by your supervisors', in other words 'vote for whoever your supervisors tell you too'.
  6. Years back it was common to see many Thais on the street with bank book in top pocket. I asked a colleague about it. He laughed, and said 'they keep their book handy so every day it's easy to pop into the bank and get the balance updated, because they don't trust the bank'.
  7. Good point. I'm not familiar with phone repair/battery replacement shops in CM. Any suggestions appreciated.
  8. Good idea, but will need a big ring of security guards 24/7, can be done. Maybe Chuwit has some ideas how to escape the grips of the military senate. That would be very high value. Maybe Chuwit can partner with the roudy teenagers pushing for the ouster of the PM>>>
  9. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
  10. Good point of course. Reality is that the failure rate of snr. appointees (Gov't/non gov't) is quite high, globally.
  11. Having problems with my J7 phone charging. Tried using same cable with another J7, the cable works fine. So assuming there's a problem in the phone. Appreciate any recommendations from past experiences of shops in CM to get it checked/repaired. In the Don Chan area but can travel anywhere. Thanks.
  12. re the brains area, actually so dumb she didn't think that she would ultimately have to go through an appropriate channel and show the appropriate paper work. Immigration everywhere check things 100%.
  13. Why not go to CW with a copy of your passport (surely you have one) and explain the situation and offer to pay whatever fees are relevant. And at the same time report the situation to the police with evidence of paying the fees yourself at CW. And keep up the search for the agent.
  14. Sure, but there's 99.9% chance the next PM will be Snr military man.
  15. I"ll go tomorrow and get the Urinalysis done at Mediclinic. Another factor, I've had a very heavy head cold and for last 4 days taking TIFFY 3 times a day. Now have a very dry mouth, could that connect to the unine running out with no warning?
  16. My issue is a bit different: - 78 years old located Chiang Mai - For several years more frequent passing of urine, incl night events - But last 2 days when i get the first feeling of need to urinate it immediately starts running out and I can't stop it - Any advice, thanks.
  17. Nice increase for the taxi drivers but let's be realistic,99+% of their customers are Thai and can't afford to take Taxis.
  18. And we all knew this would happen. More to the point, how can this be changed? Any ideas?
  19. Good point, possibly even worse could be Thamanat waiting in the wings. A very nasty piece of work.
  20. Especially dangerous for PR holders. On return to LOS no re-entry stamp a very good chance PR will be cancelled.
