I sent a message to Support on the subject and the reply I got was
"Work in progress, huge task will take time. and everything has its priority."
I suspect (but don't know) that some of the code had to be rolled back for whatever reason - I guess we all "chill" for a while longer.
So you're saying that TAT don't know if they're coming or going?
Sounds about right....... 😆
And comparing holiday in Thailand with one in Kazakhstan? Now let me see....... 🙄
People convince themselves of all manner of stupidity.....frequently known as conspiracy theories!
But you're right - the average tourist won't even know about all this, let alone care.
Well as you mentioned Spike, I've got an autographed ticket from when I went to a recording of The Milligan Papers.
Oh, plus an autographed copy of a George Melly vinyl LP, and one of an Albert Lee CD.
A lovely insult from Tony Hancock in the 1950s
Hancock - If you'd been meant to think - full.mp3
And some others - I know not who they are

202 blood alcohol level! I know in UK the limit is 35 so nearly 6 times over if the rule is the same in Thailand.
That's not an "accidental one drink too many".
Then failing to stop after 2 crashes in which people were injured!!!
The guy's a dangerous moron - needs prison time. 🤬
Last time I was there, in PP and "Snooky" most of the shops had tills that worked in Riels and USD. So if you paid in USD, (as things were priced) your change was calculated on the till and given to you in Riels.
At over 4000 riels to the USD my "enormous" stack of 20000 Riels 🤪 was dropped into the hotel tip jar when I left!
Only if you happen to be naïve enough not to pay due care and attention to yourself and your possessions.
That amount of money in the picture HAD to be the tourist's not the bar girl's!
If one travels to ANY red light area in the world one doesn't carry "big money", jewellery or expensive phones especially late at night.
I love Pattaya but I'm under no illusions about what / who I'm dealing with.
Indeed - 20-25 years ago, they would have been correct in that assumption.
Many people I knew lived in Thailand on 30 day border hops or constant TVs.
Even if you wanted a visa for a long "holiday", several UK consulates were handing out Non-IMM "O" with very few questions for extended tourism - I had several myself over the years!
But the rules have changed and the technology "improved" - such is life.
That's a bit of a sweeping statement perhaps, but you may be partially right.
I went to Cambodia with a former TGF (from Issan) and many Cambodians would attempt to start a conversation with her. So as noted elsewhere in this thread, it's possibly which region of Thailand one is comparing.
OP looks as if he might be in in: OZ or Los - cannot be sure of course.
Small correction - in the UK eye tests for are free for everyone over 60 https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/opticians/free-nhs-eye-tests-and-optical-vouchers/ Includes test for Cataracts and Glaucoma.
For £10 you get an extra test for AMD https://www.ageuk.org.uk/information-advice/health-wellbeing/conditions-illnesses/eye-health/age-related-macular-degeneration-amd/
I think that's what @Sheryl meant above (?) Not helpful of course if @still kicking is not in UK but the details of what is tested might be useful.
