  1. Well you smoothed that one over, didn't you?
  2. He left it late though.....bit of a scramble to get there 🤪
  3. You should watch the original of "The Dambusters". 🙄🤣
  4. The wonderful Dave Allen 👍🤣🤣🤣🤣
  5. Night out in Walking Street followed by a bowl of spicy noodles on the way home???
  6. So I found this, just for you...…. You can thank me later 🤣😜
  7. To confirm, Biz Class passengers automatically get to use the Fast Track lane - at least Emirates pax do. Just keep your boarding pass handy, which you're supposed to keep in case IO wants it anyway.
  8. Las Vegas on Yamoto was owned by a guy named Peter who may have been from NYC, I don't know. I used to go there quite a lot at one time. That was the gogo nearly at the 2nd Rd end of Yamoto on the RHS coming from 2nd Rd, right?
  9. Barking bloody mad in fact!
  10. Agree...sadly, some of the less-professional dive outfits don't pay much attention to Admin!
  11. That's the problem @jacko45k I'm probably as old as you and yes those two sois were very much the places to be a decade or 2 ago 😋 The gogos, Far East Rock and Nevada were great for afternoon fun and all the little bars and massage shops as well. That's what I meant when I said "Those 2 streets are changing all the time" Sadly....Tempus Fugit! 🙄😩
  12. If your reply was referring to Pattaya Beer Garden, both were still true in April 2023 - beer mats with "Lookin'" on one side and "Chillin'" on the other. And there were a few "likely ladies" in there too 🤣 To the OP, take a stroll along Soi Post Office and / or Soi Yamoto. From Bukahou go down Soi Diana to Second road, turn left, cross Second Rd at McD's and they are 2 adjacent streets one with a visible GoGo on your RHS. There are lots of little bars down those streets, and I was struck this year by just how quiet they were. Those 2 streets are changing all the time so take a stroll and a look. Also, Soi Lengke has a few small bars. It's off Bukahou opposite Diana at the manic road junction with a 7/11 on one corner and WAS a Family Mart on the other now changed I believe..
  13. That's sort of the response I'm expecting, to be honest.
  14. Thanks for that - I was unaware of that Moet bar! 👍 I feel a plan forming here...... Visit the Moet bar, enjoy what it has to offer, get on the 777 for my flight home and...….sleep! I'm putting your link in my calendar for my flight home to remind me - cheers! 🍸
  15. Indeed, but the dive operators are supposed to be professional enough to take heed of such warnings and cancel trips if necessary. However.....TIT.
  16. In 2020, when Emirates stopped flying, I flew TG from BKK to LHR. I found the TG lounge at "Swampy" very unimpressive compared with the Emirates one which, IMO, is actually superior to the one in Dubai. Seeing as how Dubai is Emirates' home base, I found that rather odd.
  17. They've put me in the window seat too but I'm quite annoyed at the switch, because part of the reason I choose Emirates Business Class is that they use the A380 with all it includes! I haven't studied the T&C but I presume that contractually swapping aircraft for "operational reasons" is not something to which I can object. It's the last sector of my journey (DXB - LGW) so when I get home, IF I've found it objectionable, then I will make a formal objection and see what, if anything, it gets me.
  18. Your posting got me worried so I checked with Emirates regarding my February / April flights LGW-DXB-BKK and return. I'm on a Business Saver ticket and that does include all lounges and chauffer drive, the latter I'd already booked anyway. Apparently there's a cheaper option than Saver which doesn't include those options - that must be the one to which you refer. What the buggers have done is change my flight from DXB to LGW from an A380 to a 777-300ER which, looking at various videos is far less comfortable! 🤬 Lots of YouTube vids where people say as much. Emirates tell me I can lodge a formal complaint but I doubt I'll get anywhere, however if it's really bad, I'll contact them on my return...after all, I might find it's OK...
  19. Thanks - that, as I said, is the "expected behaviour" until the "Clear Notifications" option is restored. I and others would like to see it restored. Hopefully @george or one of his team are reading this and will give us an update - probably after the "silly season" has passed 🎅🏻
  20. Doesn't work for me in Chrome or Edge on Windows 10 I've tried opening in New Tab and New Window and tried reloading pages. All that happens is that the notifications that were bold indicating that they've not been read yet revert to normal type when you read them. But they're all still there. However @frantick that is the behaviour I'd expect - what you're seeing is technically wrong! Would you mind sharing your config information please: What OS? What Browser?
  21. Allow me to correct that for you..... "Lucky Pity that this idiot was not in Australia where the police get out their guns and shoot them dead if they resist arrest." That's better
  22. I realise it won't help everyone but the alternative is if the Brit has enough savings to show in support of the foreigner's visa application. Then income doesn't matter. I don't have the figures to hand but I presume the amount has increased along with the required income amount.
  23. Maybe he was standing too close...... 🙄
  24. Years ago I visited Sisaket to stay with a friend who lived there. He spoke passable Thai. We went to several bars in what he called the "local twinkle town" and, because he was known and spoke Thai we were welcomed, cautiously. I got the impression that had I gone alone I wouldn't have been received so well which my friend later confirmed. Bear in mind, it's nothing like BKK, Patts or Phuket! Also be very careful as many of the ladies present were, I'm sure, very young - uncomfortably so, for me! Oddly enough, when visiting Pichai some years later, another friend, who lived there, pointed out the "local twinkle town" to me although we didn't indulge. As @Bday Prang said above "it's everywhere, just look for the bright lights or the fairy lights,"
  25. Bearing in mind the fact that I'm NOT a medical professional, I do think this adds a little weight to my previous reply to you @Sheryl in that (IMO) "I do think it behoves anyone with any medical condition to keep up to date on developments from reliable sources and then ask the pertinent questions." Basically, what you don't know CAN hurt you but it's also very easy for we amateurs to get bogged down in unnecessary hypotheses from unestablished sources.
