  1. TM30 receipt and TM47 receipt have been part of package for retirement at CW last 3 years in my experience - last year made copies myself and included but previous two years they removed from passport and copied.
  2. I have not had any such issue at CW and have been using scanner to print everything for many years. Expect it was just some and in the past (when color copies were rare).
  3. Isn't this the normal requirement at most immigration offices? Seems they may be going mainstream.
  4. Both in Bangkok - Vejthani and Bangkok hospitals. But you are always free to decline medications and buy elsewhere and without insurance that would be a normal process at any but government hospital.
  5. Not my experience at all - doctors prescribe in consulation with patient - you have the final say. Costs at hospital can be high but have never seen 5x on anyting but maybe cheapest drugs. My hospital charges about 1.5 pharmacy and another hispital I used about 2 times (both major Bangkok hospitals). Doctors ask if what meds from hospital or buy at pharmacy. And you always can request a detailed receipt at cashier before paying and remove any medications you do not want.
  6. That is very cheap - and have no knowledge of facility or doctor - but have had less than good doctors and facilities and more dust blowing than air. Can only imagine conditions of instruments put in my mouth.
  7. Indeed expensive but there are much cheaper electric chairs on Lazada and Shopee. We bought one for under 14k (now about 16K) and seems to be fine (although wife has had good success with a new drug that allows normal short walking without pain so mostly not used). Remember when compairing if being used both in and outside narrow size will be wanted.
  8. In other words you visited a private facility - not a government hospital - and got there price as an outside price from that facility - who will actually use government hospital to do the operation?
  9. Actually few dermatologists in Thailand have any experience in skin cancer at all and most will refer any positive testing to a plastic surgion for wide margin removal (at costs of 15-35,000 baht at higher level private hospitals in Thailand).
  10. And just about the same in Thailand at top dental office - this week, RCT plus x-rays - 15,500 baht. A cleaning, right side only, 1,500 baht at local soi dental office. These prices were for Thai.
  11. It was on mine (2021). Line for for city clearly stated if foreign fill out line below asking for country/province/foreign postal code. But mine was done online so maybe the form you used was different? Mine was the 1040SR by OLT. As for what to use suspect either fine - AFAIK CA will require state tax regardless.
  12. Very true but have found Bangkokdrugstore willing to obtain/provide medications not listed on web site, and in one case one of the others said it was not available but Bangkokdrugstore provided (opalmon 5ug).
  13. Normally the Thai will want to double check the amount to make sure you have not been shortchaged - so eliminates an extra step and indicates cashier is providing the corrent change (as we foreigners can't be expected to count Thai money). ????
  14. First time might have something to do with delay if money was not actually in Wise account - not sure of UK process but in USA the money is often not taken from source account for 2 or 3 days after transfer so money is sitting in source account - not Wise - they make transfer before they receive funds.
  15. It is fine to post such information as may also help other forum readers.
  16. Drugs must be imported by a firm with an import lisence. Prescription means nothing. That said many drugs do arrive in normal low value post office packages.
  17. If you have any questions feel free to ask - had same condition (although was stage 2 at start so no chemo required - although a long queue delay made condition at op time much worse and moved to private to avoid even longer wait). Mine was done in 2016.
  18. OK will give current info: was only able to sleep on stoma side using Convatec bags of any kind as once turned to left side seal would leak within few hours. Lived some years with that issue but at last tried Coloplast 5585 one piece bags. They have allowed sleeping normally on back or both sides without leakage for 2 days usage. Also very easy to remove without tearing skin. Not cheap at about 3k for 20 bags but well worth it to be able to sleep normally. Buy from Lazada Medical Smile and get very fast delivery. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/coloplast-5585-20-i1237728137-s2968576495.html? The other thing needs is night drainage bags and they can vary in quality but not expensive and use one bag for a week. Use bottom drain of this. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i1772376352-s7654485064.html?
  19. OK - just got it and not nearly as good a Philips OneBlade - might be fine for beard/underarms/hair trims (many attachments) but not nearly as close a shave as Oneblade (or even rotary shaver). Too bad as nice looking and seems to work well motor wise - just not cut close to skin. But then was expecting too much - but did hold out some hope; now lost.
  20. Which would not be a normal sales item in Thailand so expect if thermostats are available they would have to be special ordered from abroad. Know that was the case for a Samsung refrigerator we have. A wine cooler would be much less likely to have parts available. That said finding a good refrigerator repair shop who might be able to Rube Goldberg something might work.
  21. Actually they are starting to be - just as they are used for other surgery. It is called Femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS).
