  1. I previously had good luck with a Panasonic so when shaving nicks became an issue it was first choice - ordered from Ebay and received fake (although not cheap), not good at all and seller was removed (but took my cash). I agree the 3 rotary blades are not what I want - but normal shavers just do not seem to pull any hair in so face feels like a Brillo pad after shave. It really seems the slots are too narrow. Anyhow if still can use the blade you will have an out.
  2. In my experience all appear to be made for Asian face and just do not work well on even a moderate size hair growth. Entry level Braun would not even cut anything (even worse then the cheap Chinese brands). Although never liked them had to go with a Philips rotary to get even a marginal shave. The Oneblade is actually quite good (better than any of the normal shavers) and use to get areas rotary can not reach (below nose). No I did not try top line models - but at the very poor results from entry levels do not believe they would be much better - they just rode over hair and cut almost nothing.
  3. Would you like to explain how? FTT is used by Bangkok Bank if Wise uses their account with Bangkok Bank to pay. The "long term stay in Thailand" should insure this is done if you have Bangkok Bank account but it is not 100%. Having your Wise account tagged manually seems to be a bit more reliable but they give no 100% guarantee. What it is designed to do is may payment from account at same back as deposit (but there are only about 3 banks they have accounts). Other banks may not even use FTT.
  4. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/bl-preservision-areds-2-1-i2920282397-s10707846312.html But likely easier and cheaper to remove cataracts when they actually become an issue than apply maybe help some potion.
  5. I would say almost all do so. Bathrooms have concrete floors here and toilets are cemented to them rather than using bolts in floor compressing sealing rings. It has worked for 50 years so few plumbers are keen to change. But indeed any break in the cement seal can cause odor issues (never heard of insects). And suspect strain of our 90KG plus bodies not always the best condition for cement to hold up. That said most of the time toilet can be removed/replaced without damage so if mounting holes are available refit could be done without complete replacement. But then again toilets are not that expensive - so new might be a better option.
  6. You can also search Google for an image that appears the same - but without label and being shot at an angle did not see anything in quick check.
  7. That was then - this is now. And likely why it is getting much harder to use agents for such. Will it last - don't know. But at present time suspect there is a bit of housecleaning taking place.
  8. Eye drops are for what? Once that is known Google should be able to find name brands. Lazada or Shopee do sell. If for dry eyes Bausch&Lamb ReNu is available from Lazada and should be a dependable brand (although probably not the cheapest). https://www.lazada.co.th/products/1-1-renu-bauschlomb-renu-i3171251648-s11873093866.html
  9. I can - many agent obtained extensions are using upcountry officers - with invalid address in that area to allow. An actual address check will revel that.
  10. That is not a normal requirement for transfers to Bangkok Bank that are marked as international (ftt). Normal is the 12 months of computer statement plus a current letter of account ownership/balance (done in real time). Are you sure your immigration office requires for transfers marked as international? Bangkok does not. As for 2 trips my branch (about 1km away) offered to mail last year. Some people get around this Hqs issue by obtaining six month statements two times.
  11. Never actually had 78's as family bought RCA 45 player when they came out in 49. Relatives did have shellac but I was not allowed to touch. Did have couple cylinder players recovered from attics before the 45 and built Hi-Fi system (with help of father) about a year later (home built University corner enclosure with Norelco multi speaker and Garrard changer with Olson Radio mail order mono amplifier). Yeh - we are old.
  12. Next your going to say I can't eat my hot soup in my paper bowls.
  13. Each account is reported individually with max value of each. Believe you mean if highest total value of all accounts is over 10k you have to do FBAR reporting?
  14. Automatic ice makers are very inexpensive (about 2,500 baht now for units that should last a year or two 24 hours a day - have been using various models for last decade - and cheap Chinese seems to be as good a imported from Europe). And any drinkable tap water can be used - this is not a steam iron. But we have extended family so it is used often - for a couple probably not worth running full time (but designed for party use so would work for that). Currently use ESUN (although many names for same items) and seems to work very well for the low price. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/esun-ice-maker-eim-15a-i2660533678-s9572520508.html
  15. Yes - sorry about that was fixed on the end of year date for exchange rate. ????
  16. As said account value in baht on Dec 31, 2022 divided by 34.52 for USD entry on FBAR reports.
  17. The problem with MRI's is the size - those of average western build are more than a little confined/Closter phobic if older machines (although newer units are larger) and they can take a long time to complete - with you expected to lie still on back and not move. For longer scans, as my cancer which take almost 3 hours, this can be very painful. The MRI can not be used to repair so of anything found catheter may be required to open blockage or insert stents.
  18. CT involves radiation exposure and dye which can also be a hazard so unless other indicators not a likely first choice - EST is a normal test for those able to walk OK and there is a chemical stress test for those unable/older.
  19. A bit long in the tooth I am I am - but only heard 16 - 33 1/3 and 45 RPM speeds during my youth. Never heard 33 mentioned. Social media shorthand was not the norm and anyone using such would likely feel the wrath of both teachers and parents. I as a (fairly) good boy. ????
  20. But here in Thailand it is always upcountry when traveling - never heard downcountry.
  21. The problem is Bangkok - there never was a downtown. It was various areas separated by jungle until relatively recently.
  22. As said checks are often used here to transfer funds and in business. Today, in USA, large insurance firm drug purchase refunds are still only issued by check.
  23. Downtown - central business district - working class living Uptown - upscale living areas - the right side of the tracks
