  1. Actually Thai sellers are not big on stocking spare parts so that dream may not be fulfilled. But a Panasonic Service Center might have (for a price)? Might be time to buy a new shaver if not a high priced model (although have not been happy with any I have bought here - cheap Philips 1000 seems to be the only thing that can cut my barbed wire). And the One Blade to trim (but getting real blades an issue).
  2. This appears to be a Lazada offer (at twice the price) https://www.lazada.co.th/products/original-li-ion20-panasonic-es8042-es8043-es8044-es804636v-li-ion-i4096326365-s16002579110.html Oops - did not refresh page fast enough and info already posted.
  3. Was doing edit when you posted it seems. I noticed that after I edited my post - did not see the "?" so just posted it all. Eyes not the greatest in old age.????
  4. You might want to check Lazada/Shopee as they sell many and in past have ordered and fixed a unit with such. As no info in your photo a shaver model might help people find. Although this looks like your photo: https://shopee.co.th/1PCS-lot-Electric-shaver-epilator-massage-Li-Ion-rechargeable-battery-for-Panasonic-ES8042-ES8043-ES8044-ES8046-ES8048-E-i.820220540.18531517745?sp_atk=c57bf752-9502-4fa7-b88d-34dcdd7a5f5e&xptdk=c57bf752-9502-4fa7-b88d-34dcdd7a5f5e

  6. Was it same province? Was it a joint account? Were you trying to do both card and passbook as same time? I have obtained card at other branch of BBL here in Bangkok without issues - but indeed passbook required home bank and joint account holder.
  7. Never tried to, or even heard of it, but suspect you have to set up via mail to Shopee customer service - that was what I had to do when setting up IBanking/refunds directly to my BBL account. I have been using IBangkok online of Bangkok Bank (Shopee takes me to sign on and returns after payment made). Believe photo of passport marked as only for Shopee account setup (or some such wording) and of account passbook with same notation as I recall. Customer service person was very clear on what to do. But as said was years ago.
  8. Was not suggesting phone was Samsung - just that the battery might be same size as some used in older Samsung phones. But as said size along with terminal location seem to be prime factors.
  9. Expect any the same size or a bit smaller would work - as yours unmarked expect they did not want to take a chance. If a smartphone perhaps a Samsung?
  10. Yes but could a Nokia be used perhaps. Photo appears a bit wider (terminals are at edge on Nokia). My Nokia is 6cm high and 3.8cm wide - if your battery is a bit wider suspect you could use the Nokia with a bit of foam/paper to keep contacts aligned.
  11. Have you tried a normal Nokia feature phone battery? That is what it looks like.
  12. Actually it was up to the extension applicant to show proof of TM30 having been made here in Bangkok for retirement extension residence in 2019 and immigration has made copy of receipt for extensions every year since.
  13. In 2019 the fine was, as stated previously, 800 baht. Believe you are thinking about 90 day reports?
  14. Yes you should get a translation done in case it is needed in the future (bank account/insurance/pension or such) - but that has nothing at all to do with US Embassy. Suspect US Embassy was added as incentive to do the translation.
  15. Who told you to translate and register at Embassy? There is no such thing. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/getting-married-in-thailand/ What you should do is go online and register yourself if not already done. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/acsregform/
  16. Your browser can't translate? Translation seems fine on Chrome. Sorry got here from shortcut and did not see it Apple. Don't know what you may use for browser.
  17. The key factor is her returning to Thailand and that this not being a shortcut to green card application without going through the immigrant visa process (which takes many months) now that you have married. Her and your ties to Thailand are very important to help prove this - but as you have found out it is very hard to convince officials that she is really returning. In my case was retired and wife had been approved for immigrant visa but we changed mind to remain here. Several years later that information was key to getting tourist visa approved. So give her any proof you plan return to Thailand as well as her and both of your employments. If mother is unable to travel to Thailand would use that document to add weight to need for her to travel to USA to meet MIL. I would give it a try, If another failure consider sponsoring parents visit to Thailand perhaps.
  18. Taxi rates are just about the lowest in the world; if not the lowest. As for meter use have not had a driver ask fixed price for the last 30 years. Some will still refuse trip to destination involving heavy traffic but most will not have any issues.
  19. You do understand Maine is just about the end of the world? That is real wilderness away from the coast. The USA itself is about 13 in world internet speed but only about 44% have fiber optic access so many are still at very low speeds. YouTubers spend hours uploading short videos and many places have no service at all. USA is a rather large country. And Maine is great for lobster - but not much else.
  20. As said it is not something that requires much effort to live without. They removed most of mine and remaining did not work well so as said one tiny pill a day takes care of it. For me euthyrox 50mcg which from drugstore is about 1.35 baht a day.
  21. Just a bit different when swallow sometimes - nothing major but 10 years later it sometimes hard to get pill down if do not eat or drink something first (but this is a one in a hundred event). The pill is a tiny once a day 30 minutes before eating breakfast - for me take before walk dog and then eat - no issue at all. Have TSH tests about once a year to be sure still in range. I had the one indeterminate and doctor felt best to operate as mass was large and suspect and believe have to wait long period before re-testing and even then likely not to be definitive. Only had history of skin cancers up to that time. But had to delay operation several months due to pre-op EKG/stress test finding blockage and having 2 stents. No pain from thyroid operation and hospital stay was short.
  22. That sure would not be cheap by any standards. ????
  23. The issue is many drug stores will not sell to a foreigner and treat you as a child murder if you even ask for it. Never make the mistake of asking for "baby aspirin"!
