  1. It is a brand name aspirin. Aspirin is the common name for acetylsalicylic acid (ASA)
  2. Since Covid many have used home ordering rather than visiting (which was already on decline due internet) so many stores have seen less foot traffic (true everywhere in the world). And we have used since it was started many years ago. But since change in ownership/software have given up and only use Tops now.
  3. The major hospitals have immigration contacts and can do inhouse I believe. If using Bangkok Hospital/Bumrungrad or such check with them. As one who had operation about 10 years ago (one side solid mass but inconclusive biopsy) had no effect on speech and only minor effect on swallowing. The biopsy was negative but Thyroid remaining did not work so taking pill each day.
  4. https://bangkokdrugstore.com/product/aspirin-325-mg-10s/ https://bangkokdrugstore.com/product/b-aspirin-81-10s/ https://bangkokdrugstore.com/product/aspilets-aspirin-81-mg-10s/ Many drug stores will just say "no have" as they consider it a dangerous drug and they do not want to try and explain in English not to use for children.
  5. Actually believe main selling point is cost of use as they only use a fraction of the wattage for same light output. But as anything mass produced at low cost for consumer there will be those that fail with little or no lifespan. As pointed out the quality/reliability has greatly improved but there are still duds. But a new bulb cost is a lot less than chasing our sss as a first check - if that, of a different brand, also has same issues is the time to go deeper. Sez I who just removed a perfectly usable on/off remote module from a light outlet that had flickering from two bulbs (which it turned out were both bad) so now have to unscrew the bulb I want off.
  6. And "Big Joke" is deputy Chief of Police:
  7. That seems to be the death march in my experience - seems some just do not last at all, even from major makers. But first would try in another fixture and hope for the best. If same in other fixture store may replace if major brand and really new. What type of bulbs and some or all have this issue?
  8. Actually can not read your photo and suspect would not be keen on checking each item even if I could. What I posted is readily available in Thailand visa private importers selling on Lazada/Shopee with no import/customs additional charges. As made by Pfizer suspect it is as good as NOW (which I do use for several other items).
  9. I find best price for Centrum Silver (normally use Shopee but Lazada also has many sellers). Seems to be made in Canada. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/centrum-silver-men-multivitamins-and-minerals-and-lycopene-multivitamin-275200-50-i2452395168-s8570218332.html If of a younger (under 50) age this looks like a good option https://www.lazada.co.th/products/kirkland-daily-multi-vitamins-mineral-500-tablets-i3824316953-s14574341514.html
  10. Actually suspect more of they expect to pay eating out costs as charged in the West and have no idea how cheap it can be here.
  11. That was not my experience 2 years ago on a non company shipment I declined. Obviously not everything meets fast clearance process. Notation was "require customs formal clearance according to local regulation". DHL service fee to act a agent: 900 baht DHL handling fee for tax payment: 500 to 1450 baht (2% plus vat) Tax on item/shipment: unknown Storage if more than 2 days: 200 baht + Customs fee: 200 baht So minimum of 1600 baht before any tax.
  12. That has almost ended as if you tell them a destination most will just speak it into phone and have turn by turn directions on screen and by voice. No need for driver to know Bangkok anymore.
  13. You live on Soi Nana? ???? Have not had a no in years out here in Latphao area - but understand it can still be an issue from parked taxi or at some locations.
  14. Well I lived in FFM for several years and did not find any myth about it. Add to that the best beers anywhere.
  15. It was set up by University of Frankfurt If I recall correctly.
  16. That would be after an RCT and post for most cases - in your case they are trying to avoid that and retain nerve and fix tooth enough to support an inexpensive crown (crowns alone can cost more than 20k - RCT and post would be extra).
  17. I have used this doctor for many years, but suspect may be on the wrong side of town for you. Dental department was set up to German standards and not the cheapest facility but standards seem to continue to be high (after treatment in a few shophouse places in the past - which were not very sanitary/or good). https://www.vejthani.com/doctor/dr-rungdara-kumanchan/
  18. A crown placed on the top of a damaged tooth/RCT - which is/was the normal option rather than pulling tooth prior to implants. NA for you if teeth were pulled. The silver is one visit fix for baby teeth so still used for children and discarded when new tooth arrives.
  19. In the States you have optometrists doing eye testing for glasses - in Thailand that is a very new field and there are very few, so testing, if more than chain/machine, is done in a hospital setting by ophthalmologists. Go to them to get prescription/distance between eyes and then most order from Zenni or other mail order provider (as eyeglass shops often are way more expensive than need be - although some independents seem to be a bit more reasonable from reports here).
  20. They are not the safety type - that type will have the brass button that you can press to restart gas flow as in my photo. They do not cost that much more and adds a bit more safety. This one is 190 baht. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/scg-r326s-i2863700653-s10448811892.html
  21. And he is online asking people.
  22. As you seem to have gas located inside home give a good inspection to that plastic hose and might be wise to invest in a leak safety regulator which will cut off flow in case of a leak. Can buy as package with new hose for reasonable price.
  23. Don't believe anyone is going to be insured - you take your chances. It has been 50 years but when we needed such work done at US Consulate in Dacca they found labors from port to do it. It was a bit of comedy as they tilted box so everything fell out on each landing on downward travel (rather than keep bottom at lower end). Suspect smaller size to fit lifts a much better plan.
