Gordon Ramsay’s group set to open 14 restaurants in Thailand
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Lol, you do not even need to be rich to eat at good restaurants in Bangkok here, let alone to get to start talking about the definition 'wealthy'. You pay here at a top end rooftop restaurant what you pay in a ordinary 2 star back home. Maybe you should move bubbles and learn to know different people in your life, there are plenty who earn decent and would not even meet up for less than a foreign food place. To live on one of the countries you name, and do like this, I would need to earn at least 15K or more, else I would not even consider it. -
Not really, you just told him to flash cash, short time alone is gonna cost around $71.94

You are talking about the fact that what other peoples remember or think about in their lives, of when you lived your life, even at that point you yourself would no longer be around. 1) Who cares, you are not around so you won't even need to care or know. 2) How is this relevant to what matters in life, as life is right now, or your timeline individually from birth to present to when you are death, which you won't know at exact moment, so it will basically be birth to present until present stops. 3) Knowing 1 &2: Of course life matters, in the way you want your life to be, as that is all you know is sure for now. If you are unhappy with your life in general, that has zero to do with what you are saying in the topic. To answer your question, sure I know my grandparents, but my great grand parents not really, why? They died before I was even 7 and I remember little in general from under that age, if they somehow died much later, for sure i still had memories and sometimes a thought. What did you expect? I am gonna go back 100 generations and spend 1 hour per month to think about each of them, while that adds zero value to them or me? Just to maintain regular contact with your entire family, i mean entire, would be a fulltime job.

I have a connection that ships for A grade indoor from 1 gram at 250 baht a gram, from 10 grams 200-220 baht a gram, from 50 grams 200 baht a gram, if you are interested. This is just from Thai growers, has nothing to do with import, it's normal. If you buy a lot the prices are even less, always been like that, if you know where to buy of course.

What are you talking about? The majority of people eating at foreign restaurants are foreigners in the first place. It is only people on tight budgets that dominate the ''i eat only thai food because it is cheaper'' and then a minority who simply only likes thai food. I would actually already want to go and check it out for the fish and chips, beef wellington and macaroni cheese.- 361 replies

Yes because too much would be when your body signals you, i had enough really. If you then still drink, you are from before modern humans. You analyze comments as a robot i guess.

Not bad advice at all, it is very important to hydrate properly right after waking up. It is just the id-iots who dont want to understand, who will then say you can't say like that because if you drink huge amount of X liters it is very bad / dangerous for you etc etc. People who reason like this usually fail with almost anything to get the best out of it: using a saving tax method, investing with better returns etc etc. You don't even know the context, maybe he is 200CM tall and 120KG clean weight, 1L is nothing. Compared to a little Thai lady that is 150CM and 40KG.

Apparently it happens due to a shortage of salt what retains the fluid, to then cause brain swelling. Guess better to drink a drink with solution and not too much. I'm not surprised it happens because they always tell people to be worried getting dehydrated.

I learned in the army a very simple trick: just check the color of your pee and you know if you are hydrated properly or not. You could do the same in reverse by drinking less until you see the color change to become yellow / too yellow or worse colors. Yes, of course, if you barely drink and are dehydrated, you won't really pee much / at all. In reality you just know your average needed intake, then you know already what you usually drink in other drinks than purely water. If you then have a issue with being worried of drinking to little, just add some small bottles of water, then it's easy as you know 1-2 of those a day. Drinking too much water, I never heard it, you must really be going hard then. I usually also drink up to a liter water in the hours before I go out drinking, gives me a buffer upfront.

They must have been drinking as if they were under a waterfall with their mouths open to make that happen.

Online Extensions, via VFS ????
ChaiyaTH replied to Peterw42's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yeah let's make everything more bureaucratic and complicated for no reason. OR they could just setup a phone app directly with immigration, submit your documents and stop to even do stupid stamps in real passports. What a peace must come to every immigration office if just doing that for the ordinary 30-60 day extensions of people. All the banks do it years already, you can easily make a scan of passport, as well as a video recording with automated existing software they can use too, that verifies you on webcam and holding the passport, to know it is really you. That is all they basically do too in person now. -

Usually a dentist in the hospital when it becomes something more complex is the best idea. -
I smoke up to 1 gram a day maybe indoor for longer than 2-3 months, and then stop out of nowhere due to a flight elsewhere, it is usually absolute hell after the first day and I can really get days of amnesia and that kind of stuff. But after that there is the super clarity, allowing me to get bulk load of the clarity things done in no-time. Then I see how bored it is again to always be sober, and that I can't even stick programming for 8 hours, I smoke again, build. what i prepared with clarity. I did figure that it helps to have a very busy schedule already or all kinds of activities, as this distract you a lot in those first days and week. Alternatively to just make it a week of drinking instead, then you will still be calm and able to pass out and sleep, while the weed effects already go away, and then to not drink after a week is never a issue but a blessing. Anyway: I think it is very important for all the regular smokers, to now and then have this break and reset. It is also rewarding because you usually can get by on less amount of weed again for a long time, saving money in the process.

Thailand launches online platform for foreign tenant registration
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Never needed the lease or a copy of the owner or a TM30, when extending with my agents in the past years on non-o family. Just needed to give the address to them and write a map once. However since 1-1.5 year or so, I noticed that I have to now always give a copy of TM30 with extensions, might be much longer already but I didn't do it myself at the time and the past year i was travelling in and out a lot without a yearly. Hence my TM30 system in place now. Anyway same answer, so easy to still do that / produce it + stay under the radar. -
France’s iPhone 12 ban could spread across Europe, regulators say
ChaiyaTH replied to Social Media's topic in Apple Products
What does this have to do with Apple fan boys, this happens as much with Android brand phones, likely even more, they are just so insignificant that it never even makes the news. Usually the problem is solved before it even comes to us, if you follow financial news that traders use, you read stuff like this about all kinds of things, daily. -

My friend with a resort on island south has this very modern app, look sweet. I hoped to get that too as of my post above but I somehow also have the old excel styled script (chiang mai). -

I have had countless landlords who refused doing the report for me, or even they did, only once, which is not helpful. The last landlord agreed after I asked 10 times, to give me the full access instead, I now can enter TM30 for anyone I like but it is still the old system too. I do not see the point anyway, people can still just check in a hotel for 1 day, and have one too, while otherwise staying under the radar. Same for the fact that I now control my own TM30 reporting or those of others, I can help out getting one. -
The state of your average expat in Thailand.

I guess it depends what the definition of a loser is but I think it comes pretty close when you are discussing this kind of stuff online, because you have nothing better to do, and not even know the people you judge but just assume something. Like how do you even judge someone based on the fact that they drink, if that alone is already a issue, the person judging is a problem + loser. People like to talk to the TS because of his rolex, because they could get a pint or 2, it seems he is the one who lost his mind. What an arrogance and ignorance in one pot. In reality I usually almost get depressed when I see this super boring old foreigners here, who not seem to enjoy or spend at all, but judge everyone who does. -
The difficulty of avoiding sugar in Thailand.

I heard some of the drinks are even filled in the plastic bottles at boiling point in factories. Think micro plastics alone. But I'm guilty too, I love a can of coke once every 2 days. -

Yeah that stuff is way worse than sugar and cancer causing. It also tastes horrible, i never drink coke zero, i bought it a few times by accident and just throw it away after one sip. I don't get the point anyway, same like drinking a 0% beer. Just gay. -

ChaiyaTH replied to Felton Jarvis's topic in Eastern Thailand
To add: coca cola seems to go that far, they add some kind of salt to your coca cola, that now not gives you a <deleted> load of sugar, but also makes you thirsty, to drink more. Just think about it, when you drink soda, you somehow keep drinking or feel like you are thirsty. While if you drink a can of water, you would be fine half way. The same counts for a fake feeling of hunger due to many fast foods.
