Koh Tao deaths and the mystery around them
ChaiyaTH replied to scubascuba3's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Oh please, 24 deaths on all the tourists that come there for all those years. There are more dangerous places in Thailand. The amount of deaths is actually a joke if you compare it to let's say Phangan, like described in my comment above. But yeah, neither of those islands, are good to be long-term, if you ask me. It is not even the real Thailand nor does it feel like that. -
Koh Tao deaths and the mystery around them
ChaiyaTH replied to scubascuba3's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
It is funny how people and the world are obsessed with ko tao while in fact it is phangan, where almost weekly 1-2 foreigners die. If you take that times X years, or even a few decades, and compare it to the deaths on tao, well wow. These deaths are often: suspicious suicides, found death in the bed (monthly 1+), murders just not reported, 'accidents' etc. Not to mention the crazy tantra people with decades of unpunished mental and sexual abuse of people, or russians biting of fingers. And yes, a stable person could become mind <deleted> entirely by certain of these spiritual groups, and in fact do commit suicide too. -
Obviously they would need a work permit officially, or they work illegal for you. Or you pay the right people. No company = no official employees either.

German Man Missing After Jumping From Ferry Near Phangan Island
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
His body is missing you mean, it was a suicide, I know someone who sat behind them, he just stood up and jumped. One must live in disneyland to think he is still alive. Anyway, this stuff happens basically weekly on the island. -
What does this have to do with anything at all? If a price is 400 baht per hour, and you charge 5000, that is a scam, not capitalism. Go back to school before you say things. Those who work there, the 400 is similar than 100 us dollars is for a minimum wage worker abroad. Charging 5K for a trip would equal like 1000-1500 dollars abroad for the same.

Just ask him where he plans to stay next and book him a room for that price. However if someone would threaten met for 1500, he would get nothing anymore.

Where would you fly to for a 1 week holiday out of Thailand mid Feb?
ChaiyaTH replied to ubonr1971's topic in General Topics
Seems to be ok in the south as well in Vietnam interestingly enough. Anyway, I assume this happened every year since decades, but not people are always obsessed with it somehow. -
This was not the only one recently, on the island itself of known cases in total like 24 of them over the past 10-15 years or so. I believe 2 other diving instructors as well another earlier owner of that school also died. Even on phangan almost every month a young person is found dead in their bed, it never even makes the news. Chiang Mai it would be the talk of the town.

100 gram on a outdoor plant is little, I used to like your general replies on this forum, but you post nothing but nonsense if it comes to cannabis. Who even dries or keeps their weed in a box like on the picture, that alone says enough. The photos you posted earlier of your outdoor plants also shows they look crappy. Indoor automatic would not be near 100 per plant indeed, otherwise it can be easily, even more, it simply depends on the pot size, the amount of light and how much space you have it under (aside of genetics, climate, nutrients etc etc obviously). So all you know, is a few people who know little too, and yeah maybe they waste 10 seeds on 1 square meter tents, then each plant would be very small and just have 20-40 grams.

I know more about indoor than outdoor too and bought an original strain 3 weeks ago, they grow like magic, no full soon seems to be the trick to grow healthy. As of outdoor only give water and gonna make clones out of another one too. I take it on my motorbike to travel sometimes, they seem to like it.

Australian man dies in what is believed to be road rage incident.

Being sober on a motorcycle late at night is equal as dangerous, you might be sober but the rest is not. -
Thailand offers 5 year-visas to HK influencers to promote tourism
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How about a hassle free 5 year digital nomad visa, for the sake of injecting money into local economy too. 10% flat tax and a review after 5 years to see if you not live in a bamboo hut to decide the right on extension. -
They do it recently on the Malaysia border in the south too and require you to stay 3 days in Malaysia before returning. Only if you use a expensive agent run service, you can do 3 times without that requirement. Confuses me too as i thought the new rule and checked by nationalized computer system, was 2 times land border per year max. Guess things are up to each place again since covid. But the officer also told me, if I did have a multi entry non-o, it would be fine same day.

Sounds sensible: Bangcock, Fuket and FATtaya's.

When Will All These Annoying Tourists <deleted> Off ?
ChaiyaTH replied to NickyLouie's topic in Pattaya
Have to say honestly, I also miss the low tourist amounts already. Covid was amazing in a way, when all the normal things were basically open but no tourists here. Bangkok also way nicer, less traffic etc. Would not mind to move somewhere more remote in the south of Thailand, enjoy nature, have kilometers of beach too. To then just make a weekend trip to a place to see some foreign people once every 2 weeks.
