Banks refusing to send my money to UK??? FFS
I recently changed the card. Actually wanted Unionpay -> its off Western Rails but accepted almost everywhere and the data is in China... not the West so you have some form of privacy, except the Thai side. As for the insurance, also took out the top plan with AIA or something with them in Branch for both accident and long-term, with kids costing 1m THB since last year in hospital costs (during birth with packages - NICO, and post birth with insurances (not covering covid etc), and being here 15 yrs, regardless of wealth its just not worth the chance by not having a top quality private insurance especially after the vaccination - minor-medium heart complications 2 days afterwards and similar but milder just last week (2yrs later). Think they cover me for something like 150m THB long and 15m for accident total cost about 60k or something, deducted from my Thai credit card or bank. Sleep easy now.

Substantial increase in income requirements for UK Visas.
Stupid rule. 1= Let people flood the country from boats. 2= make it impossible for Brits to marry 'below their station?' Thais and bring them home and produce kids, which is not happening in the UK.

Cashing out crypto in Thailand, under the new tax rules of 2024
15% ?? If you are selling 'crypto' for 'fiat' its based on income levels this year (until 1/1/23) However if you are selling 'Stablecoins' that are matured (12+ months) and sourced from a overseas company (income/dividends etc), it's 0% + what ever fees occur at point of conversion. From next year: If its stablecoins that are earned before 1/1/23 then it's 'savings', if after it's income. If crypto it's Income Tax + Withholding Tax + fee(s).

Living in Thailand using only ATM money for more than 6-months - tax consequences
Card(s) have names on them -> name + Immigration records = tax amount owed. Card(s) are issued by financial institutions which share financial information under CRS = Name + CRS Account Information + Drill-into (enquiries) ~ Thailand focused transactions = Tax amount owed. One blessing ~ 100+ countries voted to move away from OECD recently ~ if that occurs then CRS is dead. Downside is Western Governments will force in a FACTA like system and probably introduce taxes for non-residents.

How High Can Bitcoin Go This Cycle?
260,000$ ~ 360,000$ based on the debasement that has to occur this year (Refinancing State Debt & Commercial Debt being absorbed on to the CB Balance Sheets).

Pregnant Burmese woman begs thief to return 240,000 baht’s worth of gold
Same happened in my home previously had bundles of 100k for paying a bill (medical) and they were in a 'safe'. Person unbundled, mixed together and took about 130,000 out of it. Was a shock. Obviously had been listening/watching over a long time and heard a pin being discussed for something else and chanced it on the safe.

New passaport while in overstay
That doesn't work because if on overstay they detain at the airport lol. SO ensure you have the funds to book a second flight, lawyer representation and other things for when you are detained, charged, miss flight, court, detention, then deportation on a Thai Airways flight later.

Is Thailand heading towards an economic crisis?
There's a least one smart chap here. We live in an era of debt roll-over financing and printing the difference, the entire world blew up in 08, and a debt jubiliee was enacted, we no longer care about repayment, merely servicing the costs. Cycle is every 3-5 yrs, roll-over year is 24/23 (state - commercial). Asset prices will rise, gov will enact tightening late 25 into 26 and we will see the same - depressed state - followed by a new market in 27-29.
