Bringing dog to Thailand for 3-6 months
G Rex replied to Travel2000's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
in all seriousness - is this just a wind-up? depending on your country of origin , there are many issues regarding vaccinations, health checks and quarantine - both on the way in, and again on returning home. definitely not worth doing for such a short trip -

My wife had nice natural boobs - but wanted more. I said no, but after thinking more about it I realised it was a self-esteem thing - so i changed track and agreed. The job was done by a good surgeon from a reputable clinic in BKK - the operation requiring an overnight hospital stay. I think it was about 160k. She is very happy with the results - (as am I!!) She also had a minor nose job - which simply involved the placement of a small piece of 'silicon' type implant on the bridge of her nose. This surgery was not very invasive, and has left no scarring - and looks quite natural. I agree that many Thai women (& LBs) have surgery that makes them look ridiculous, and unnatural. That is more 'hey look at me' surgery.

I had braces as a teenager, because that was the norm then - ie wait until your facial bones stop growing, and then correct the misaligned or overcrowded teeth. I had them from the age of 14 until I was 17. No problems , 63 now, and they still look the same. (ok, maybe a bit more worn out!). My Thai wife had a minor issue with protruding upper teeth and was quite self conscious about it. She had braces for 3 years to correct this, in her early 30s. The end result was very good, but she was still required to wear a 'retainer plate' at night after the braces were removed. She lost the plate and we had another made (5K!) - and after 5 days (the time to order and receive retainer)- her teeth had moved so much that it no longer fit! - as WBG mentioned above. She now has a different retainer that she wears most nights, is comfortable for her, and her teeth still look great!

For 35 years I carried Ketamine with me in my work vehicles. I used it for horse anaesthesia. never once did I think - 'I should try some of this' seems I missed out big time , 555 work party every day... -

When outdoors we just use normal pedestal fans - moving air is better than nothing! - and it reduces mosquito worry as well.

don't forget the dogs....lol

You are right on the money there! The Ford IS like a car , the Toyota is a light truck. But - I bought my Father in law an XLT Supercab Ranger in 2019, we sold it after 4 years, because he hardly used it (he thought it was too special to drive as his normal car!) - only 7000ks on it. We lost 50% on it... However , I buy cars to enjoy now - not to make or save money later!

Yep. The old slow one! Same donk as the wildtrak. I get my speed thrills from my big bikes now , and memories of my Shelby Super snake I had in Oz before I moved here.
-
I had a Raptor - but changed it for another Wildtrak. The added comfort , and the fact that I don't do a lot of Baja racing were the main reasons. If I want to drive fast - I prefer to drive a fast car or motorbike - rather than a light truck.
-
When I do more than 100,000 k per year , I need to change my vehicles - for reliability & 'modernisation' - and because I can. BTW. 'fourth' not 'forth'. Also I am not - and never have been - a Toyota fanboy.
-
The Toyota will definitely give you better resale value - if that is a concern. The Toyota drives and feels like a truck - because it is. The Ford is a more comfortable and civilised vehicle - much easier to live with. I have driven both. Spoiler alert… I am currently driving my fourth Ranger variant..

Some of the FB stock may be old stock. If you buy online , you will still need to pay for fitting and balancing - @ about 2-300 baht per wheel. B Quik etc are convenient - but definitely not cheap. good deals can be found from reputable sellers on Lazada or Shopee - just make sure to check the sellers ratings…

I bought my genuine Rolex Date just at MBK last week. 2000 Baht. So probably no real problem wearing it around Bangkok... -
