First thoughts are why with only a 20 cm gap it's getting that wet. Usually an overhang of the roof should give the wall some shelter. Personally I wouldn't want to be creating an additional inner surface as that's just going to trap the water . I ran my own construction business in the Uk and never liked the idea of giving advice if I couldn't view the situation, so if possible find someone with some knowledge and let them view the issue. Finally is there any way to get a roller on a long pole down into the gap to 'treat' the area. If so Thai Watsadu have multiple products that can help with waterproofing. By the way waterproofing is all you will achieve, most buildings aren't watertight. Sorry I cant't be of more help than that.

F1 driver Alex Albon would support Thailand hosting Grand Prix

Street circuit in central Bangkok? Should be exciting with all the Panda / Lineman / Grab motor cycle delivery guys riding in the opposite direction to the race. -
It would be interesting to watch and I would say you would be correct in your conclusion of the outcome. I don’t personally think that it’s down to the athletes if you are referring to athleticism, more that US football has a lot of common elements with Soccer in terms of running, passing, kicking whereas there are elements in the US game that are totally alien to the game of soccer. Just starting with the dressing up in fancy gear would be enough to totally disable any level of competence in a soccer player. John Harkes was a terrific player. https://www.eurosport.com/football/usa-footballers-who-have-played-in-englands-top-flight_sto7071606/story.shtml

This may or may not work for her , but here goes and give it a try. There are no 'charity shops' in Thailand. The first time my wife came across a charity shop she was bewildered at the amount of womens clothes that were available. Most in nearly new condition and also some 'last seasons' new stock donated from the big store groups. When ever my wife goes to the UK with me she hardly takes any clothes and stocks up on perfectly nice shoes, coats etc. She also buys (again nearly new) childrens clothes for some of her relatives kids. If they have British labels even better. Footnote, the problem if it does appeal you'll be bored stiff for an hour whilst she's umming and ahhing over what to buy.

Tory peer Michelle Mone ‘received £29,000,000 in profits from Covid PPE firm’
DaLa replied to Scott's topic in World News
Quite the contrary, I’ve successfully managed to have full employment, better myself, help others and have a meaningful life without the nonsense that 1 party is all good and can never do anything wrong and the other party is immediately wrong in every decision or action they take. It must be a sad life for someone that goes into fits of depression whenever a decision by the party they don’t support slaps 2 pence on a pint of beer. It’s your choice if you want to wake up every morning of your life when your preferred party isn’t in power and live the day in mourning. -

Indefensible, even as a non voting conservative, I agree it’s absolutely wrong. Supports my position in not voting, but also proves my stance in not voting Labour either as we obviously will never know if the same situation would have arisen if Labour had been in power. Given that the Conservative party are more likely to have a leaning towards business it makes sense they had ‘friends’ that were in business. Doesn’t matter if that is wrong, it’s going to be a fact of life. There were many issues around the decisions made to mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic. Personally I would have hoped there would have been a greater cohesive policy created and managed by the WHO rather than individual governments that ended up confusing the issue with their divergent opinions and restrictions. Back to the op, I’ll side with the ‘it was morally wrong’. -
Should I carry passport with me all the time?

Tried that, useless on my Nokia. -
That explains it, i've only been here 12 years. I've used taxis here at all times of day, and my comment is based on my experience. Maybe the op should change his travelling time to after midnight then.

Firstly it’s not happening to pensioners, its a report on 1 single couple of pensioners. Delivered to us by Tic Tok from the hash tag ‘Tories out’ So more to the point, what’s happening with journalism and reporting in the UK. (World for that matter). -
100% agree. Especially with the 'can't be ar**d' part. Whenever I've been confronted with a situation that isn't personal to me I give it a wide berth. That include anything to do with politics , picket lines, protecting the continued existence of the 3 legged octopus.. Simpler to just work around the problem, move on and not get heated about the subject. Life's too short.

I have a very good friend (cough, cough) whose wife came home late one evening bearing the signs of 'intimacy'. She continued to wind him up when confronted and the guy grabbed his coat and headed for the door, whereupon she followed and grabbed hold of him. In response he pushed her away and the scene was witnessed by a neighbour who called the police. The police arrived and questioned both parties. The wife did not wish to present charges , however the husband was taken to the police station to give an account and then presented with a 'warning'. That 'warning' created problems for me him for years after when applying for jobs and when applying for a retirement visa in LoS.

This is absolutely not my experience here in Bangkok. I actually live in Nonthaburi which you would believe to be a problem from the city centre ( Sukhumvit). After midnight some taxi want to charge flat fee, others don't want to travel that far out but after 3 or 4 taxis I'm set to go. Pleasant guys that will take my left/right/straight on directions, all on the meter. Biggest problem is standing around waiting for a few minutes and some lovely looking girl wants to drag me into yet another bar.

4 days! luxury, you're spoilt. 4 hours with the bananas my wife brings home in LoS.

'Better procedures' ! What I take from that is that the company had sent out numerous loads incorrectly secured in the past. I've had employment in the steel industry, construction and shipping and it scare me to death when I'm behind people on the road transporting anything heavier than a few bags of leaves. 12 tons of metal travelling at 30-40 km/hour no longer weighs 12 tons.

I’m not familiar with jewellery gold, so thank you for the detailed information on that subject. The reason they don’t use ‘pure’ (99.99%) gold as jewellery is that it is too malleable, which metallurgically is the opposite to brittle. Gold is actually the most malleable of all metals. 1 gram of pure gold can be rolled into a 1 square metre sheet, that sheet becoming semi-translucent. Reflecting on that outstanding information made me realise why I took redundancy after 15 years in the steel industry to move onto more exciting employment.

I had an insurance agency 30+ years ago. A (not English) guy approached me (rare occasion when you sell insurance) and subsequently took out a policy for £24,000 of jewellery on an all risks basis. The premium was mouth watering but my commission was most refreshing. 2 months later he travelled and ‘left it on his seat in the departure lounge’ of an airport whereupon it disappeared and that is most of the information we received on the claim form.

Thank you. Excellent post . As a footnote and to remind readers that the governments during that period were, ( in no particular order) Liberal,Conservative, Labour and Coalitions.

Terrible, no one should have to pay 500 baht to go to the hong nam.

I've been here 12 years and obviously been mistaken all that time. I thought you gave them money to ENSURE you never see them again.
